Ooc: I know, I read. I figured we had already landed but, I edited the first part of the post so it would make more sense to you.

OOC: To Eryl: I hope you don't mind my slight 'power play' in this post. I think it made my descriptions slightly more vivid :) Let me know if I can adjust her dialogue to be more accurate, I'll try to keep her speech brief...but I'll gladly make any changes nonetheless.

Mithyl and Vivienne put their backs together and paused for a moment. The beings also paused...as if calculating their odds.

The standstill seemed to last an eternity...what came to follow was amazing. Despite having just met this strange girl all alone in the midst of these horrifying beasts (who must be some warrior to be braving such horrors!), he could predict her movements almost perfectly, and she, his no doubt.

    "To your right or mine?"
    "Mine."
    "On three?"
    "On three."

They tapped their blades together three times...and on the third strike they both flinched as if to coax the beings into attacking first: they were stupider than they looked.

The ghoulish entities ran toward them with bestial fury (as quickly as these sluggish villains could at least). Vivienne struck the first, "One." she counted and Mithyl the second, "Two." Soon an entire line of fallen undeads stood before them. The second line brandished clubs, while the third (just behind them) held rocks.

"You wouldn't...happen to have a shield on you?"

Vivienne shook her head...this might get tricky...

Mithyl stabs one of the club wielders in its side, and gives the blade a slight twist, causing it to seize up in pain, dropping its club.

    "Catch."

Mithyl tosses the club to Vivienne, who dual-wields her blade and the club. Almost immediately, she yells:

    "Duck!"

Mithyl kneels as Vivienne knocks a thrown rock destined for Mithyl's head out of the park (If this were years in the future, Vivienne would make one heck of a professional ball player!). The stone's trajectory intersected with another club wielder's face "Thirty three!". Mithyl grabs the 2nd fallen club in his left hand, and begins to parry the clubs, and knock back the barrage of thrown stones. All the while, the duo progressed to Vivienne's right, and Mithyl's left.

They broke into a brisk jog while knocking back more clubs. An undead dives at their feet in an attempt to trip them. Almost in perfect unison, Mithyl and Vivienne perform an aerial (no-handed) cartwheel and stab a second undead within stabbing range. "Fourty!" "Hey, that was mine!"

The crowd of undeads thinned out, and with a few quick strikes, a hole in the wall of terror had been exposed. Now's our chance... Mithyl and Vivienne charge through and find themselves free of the ring of ghouls.

    "Yes...I propose that we flee..."

Mithyl reflects on his situation: But who is this girl? Even an Attroxian can find themselves on death's doorstep...and even they deserve some help now and then...I feel as though I can trust her, yet I still must proceed with caution.

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

(@Honor: I was only lifting the floor underneath the two of you. not the whole floor.)

Jake stared at Caedus, exhausted from the energy drain it took. "I may love to kill... but even I say down with Attrox." Jake suddenly clutched his head. Damn! I used to much energy. Gonna black out any second. If this guy is smart he'd kill me when I do.
Why'd you use so much power? Now I'm dead beacuse of you!
    Just shut up Jake.
The room began to look black as his vision got blurry. He dropped to his knees, still clutching his head. As he began to fade from conciousness he manged to look up at Caedus with a look of pure hate. Suddenly he fell over, his face landing on the cold stone. "Damn..."

"My lord Caedus, as Evil as I may be. I do believe in honor, and to kill him like this has no honor at all. I rather be killed protecting him in his state than stand by and watch an unarmed man die. So will you kill him or let him live my lord? Just think he may come around to joining us, if the rest of the world falls before our knees.?" Dirk waited for lord Caedus answer. Dirk studied his face, but could not find the answer for the question.

Caedus let out a slight chuckle.

"This man is a stubborn one indeed..."

Caedus walked towards Jake's unconscious body and slapped a pair of irons around his wrists.

"We will take him before Valentine. If anyone can turn a peasant into a Lord, it is him."

He then gave Dirk a hand signal that instructed him to carry Jake's unconscious body. Caedus then whistled for his horse.

Dirk threw Jake over his sholder and pulled out a whistle and blew through it to call his speical horse. It was could be heard in the distance galloping towrds the caedtil. Dirk and lord Ceadus started walking down the stairs to their rides when Dirk remembered why he was here."My lord I forgot to tell you why I'm here! I was very successful in the conquering of Teyos."

    {Wahaha~ ;D Mike, you actually did as I hoped. I didn't want to mess up anything you had planned, so it all worked out. The vividness was a plus. <3}

Despite being in the midst of fleeing (for the second time today, she grudgingly notes), Vivienne could not quell the thrill she felt fighting alongside her personal silver lining. She didn't remember when she last fought so wholeheartedly—people in Lato were boring to fight because of their pacifism—and she didn't think she has ever seen anyone fight as adroitly as he had. Well, aside from the aggravating Attrox warrior, of course. She was initially disappointed when they found an opening for a getaway, but what remained of her femininity was ecstatic to be away from those disgusting things. She remained positive. Doesn't matter. Killing already dead soldiers seems like a waste of time anyway.

Vivienne decided to unleash her exhilaration once they reached the end of the tunnel. She nudged the older man's shoulder and beamed, looking very much like a little girl with new toys. "You were incredible," she breathed, "just amazing! Actually--"

The sight of the Grand Citadel briefly distracted her from her hero-worshipping. Its ruined state sobered her, made her remember her objective. "Ah, sorry. My name's Vivienne," she offered him a hand and paused, thinking. She wondered how she could aptly describe her situation. "Er… I suppose I'm out for revenge?"

While extending her hand, Vivienne states: "Er... I suppose I'm out for revenge?" Mithyl accepts the hand, and as he does so looks Vivienne in the eyes. He squints, as if calculating something, before speaking. I'm not sure why, but I trust her...

"I see, so you are not Attroxian. I had a feeling, but one must always be careful. So I owe my great escape from the clutches of terror to the brave Vivienne. Be careful with revenge. It is a very destructive force, perhaps moreso than the Attroxian Forces."

He paused for a moment to let the words sink in, and then introduced himself.

"I'm Mithyl, a lowly blacksmith from the kingdom of Monos..." He paused for a moment, before thinking and I'm going to stop this war... "I have no clear goal at this time, but I'm trying to stop this war. I will accompany you wherever you go, if you don't object."

    Ooc: lol. yea.

    Ic:

Caedus borded his horse, and saw Dirk nearing his own.

"Dirk... Take the prisoner back to Valentine tower, and pput him in the dungeon. Make sure you put him in a... in a room without anything he can levitate. I will be there shortly. And congratulations on conquering Teyos."

Caedus then rode off towards the entrance to the underground tunnel.

Dirk watched lord Caedus ride off, and soon borded his horse. "As you wish my lord." Dirk said to himslef aloud. Dirk flung Jake over the front of his horse and rode of towards the castle. It didn't take Dirk that long to reach the castle. he dismounted and carried Jake off to the dunegon. Joey took Jake to their best prison cell, which they use only for certain prisoners. (If you've seen kung fu panda, were going for that kind of prison.) Joey locked Jake up, in his chains and turtle shell. "Good bye mate, your going to get one big freak when you wake up."

Seth was just resealing the entrance when he noticed Caedus riding up. "Ah, Caedus my friend, how was your little trip? I happened to create my own artwork. A pity that I caved it in for none to see, you'd have enjoyed the terror on the petrified faces of the pathetic soldiers." Seth gave a laugh as he mounted his own horse.
    -------------------------------------
You in control still or am I?
Dunno. Just take it though, I steal it back when I get bored watching you screw up, Jake.
I'll do my best to dissapoint.
Jake opened his eyes but the first thing he noticed was a cold slab of silver stone just a few inches from his face. He struggled to raise his head only to notice that his arms were chained at such an angle that he could barely raise his head. He couldn't stand because of some strange contraption on his back holding him down. From the small view he had, Jake could see the entire area was bare, save for the door thirty feet away. He noticed his sword was on the other side of the door and soldiers walking past. The impact of his situation was great on him, even his dark half was shocked. I thought I warned that priest to kill me...
He did one better. He took me alive, in a cell that makes my powers near worthless.

Dirk had come back to check on the prisoner, Dirk silenty read his mind from a distance. Dirk wasn't sure what the heck was going on in there. Dirk headed down the stairs, Dirk was tired of watching the prisoner from the top where the archers had arrows all pointed at the prisoner. Dirk walked closer to the prisoner and said," Do not blame lord Caedus for not killing you, I'm the one who rescued you. I believe in honor and killing you passed out on the floor had no honor what so ever. This is for your darkside, You think your all tough, but yet who's the one who passed out and is the prisoner? This is for both of you, I'm in charge of watching you and I'll be watching you from up there with all the archers and I'll be reading your mind in chase you think of something funny to do. I'll aslo be holding your little sword, so anywords before I go?"

"Die Attrox scum." Jake was trying to think of a way out of his situation. And if you're really readying my mind then go to hell!
Shut up! I'm powerless right now! Don't egg him on!
Yeah, go to hell! And make sure you drag that dirtbag priest with ya!
    SHUT UP!
Jake just stared down at the floor, frustrated that he couldn't do more.

  17. Colonel Caboose

Colonel Caboose The Man, the Myth, the Legend

"Don't worry prisoner, I know it is your darkside who is saying go to hell. I also agree that you are helpless! also I can't be angred very easily, so just give up on the name calling. I'm also not just a man of honor, but I treat my prisoners like my men, I mean it takes a lot of failure to become a prisoner, but your food should arrive shortly. now do you have anything to say, that isn't from your darkside?"

"Die Attrox scum." Jake repeated. He need to think of a way out. And his dark half wouldn't shut up in his head which was distracting him from figuring a way out. As he stared at the floor he began to piece together an idea. With his dark half continually screaming insults in his head Jake couldn't hear himself think, which meant the man couldn't either.

  19. Colonel Caboose

"I'll do you a favor." Dirk walked over to the prisoner and put a hand on the mans head and spoke a few quiet words. Dirk finally heard peace and quiet, Dirk put a spell on the prisoners darkside which zipped it's lips."Sorry to tell you, but it only last 30 minutes." Dirk noticed the people with the food had arrived."Todays speical is chicken soup. hope you like it, I also hope you like other people feeding you."

Jake smiled when his dark half shut up. "Heh, couldn't you make that permanent?" he joked. He had to keep his mind off his plan so he kept thinking of random things he didn't care much about. As he was fed he wondered if it was poisoned. The soldier said he was honorable, but that didn't mean the rest of Attrox was.
