Ben was walking out of his house when he rembered that today wasn't any old race day this day was special. Ben quickly ran to his Acura Integra he through the door open he sat down and put the key in the ignition. Ben left a giant black mark from the burnout he did out of his driveway. Ben was racing down the highway with heavy metal blaring out of his speakers.

 

Reese was in a great mood today, but that was always the case on race day. Ever since he could remember Reese loved the feel of racing down the road at insanely high rates of speed. Tonight was a special night though...tonight was going to be a special race night. Reese was still getting ready for the race by simply shining up his mazda rx7, making sure everything ran right, and most importantly checking the NOS tanks. He had gone through it so many times on his laptop and done some test runs with his car earlier during the day, but he knew that would only help so much.
"The race is always different than test runs." Reese kept reminding himself of that as he sped towards the designated start area. He looked over to the passenger seat at his laptop and made sure everything was setup to mark down his clutch response and timing issues. Reese knew he was ready for this race he could feel it...his hand was slightly twitchy and his eyes seemed to see even the slightest change outside. This was going to be a very good race.

 

Nicole was buisy unpacking boxes in her room when her older brother walked in.

"Hey, listen there's this race thing I've been earing talk about through out the new school, I'm going to it, you want to go along, I don't want to be related to someone who's behind everyone else in things." Jack, Nicole's older brother said.

"Hahahaha, very funny, always has to do with your rep." Nicole said crossing her arms.

"Fine then let's put it this way, do you want to help mom arrange furniture over and over and help dad scrub carpets?" Jack asked.

"Let me find a jacket." Nicole said. She opened up a box and pulled out her old school band hoody and threw it on.

"Don't wear that, what if this school is like against that school or something." Jack said.

"Our old school is miles and miles away in a different country." Nicole insisted. Jack sighed. He dug threw the cloths and pulled out an aeropostle jacket.

"Wear this." He said. Nicole shrugged and put it on. She followed him down the stairs.

"We're going out, see ya later." Jack yelled.

"Bye mom, bye dad." Nicole called to them. She headed down the poorch steps and got in Jack's red covertable courvet in the drive way. HE got it for his 17 birthday when he was putting up a huge fit about moving.

 

Jacko rolled over in his bed to realise the time on his alarm. "Whoa! Already?" He jumped off his bed and got dressed in a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and some navy converse all-stars. As he rushed out, his Mum appeared out of nowhere and blocked his path, saying, "and where are you going?"
"I'm seeing a movie with some friends"
"You're always seeing movies."
"Umm, yeah. Look, mum, I really need to go now... so bye."
He skidded out the door, collecting his car keys, not even waiting for a response. When he got outside, he got into his pride and joy, his Mini Cooper S. He'd spent the past year tuning it up and adding awesome features to it. When he turned the keys in the ignition, his favourite Coldplay CD started playing and he drove off at a decent speed. Better just wait until the race, that's when I'll really put this baby to good use he thought. Jacko had been waiting for this day, it was a Special Racing Day at the track. Usually, every week there would be a normal race around the track, but on special race days, a twist or catch was added to the race, or the prize would be more significant, sometimes it would even be both. He drove off in anticipation.

 

Gray had been one of the first to arrive at the race start point. He preferred it that way since fewer people would try and admire his car as he came driving in. Gray had being watching for the few racers that he knew and that he felt were worth something compared to the others. Granted there were only a few. Gray opened the front door of his car and started playing some music, loud enough so that it could be heard over the crowed but low enough not to attract any attention. Gray was anxious to get the race started.

He began singing in a low muffled voice to Metallica - One.

 

Ben driving down the highway was in the best of modes he couldn't wait to show off his new improvements on his car. He eventually pulled in to where everyone would be meeting before the race where everyone would hang out and chill to music. Ben opened his door and walked in front of his car and poped the hood, he check the oil the carborator, the fan belt just trying to make sure would run the way it was supposed to

 

Jack pulled into the race track and parked the car. He took off his seat belt and jumped out of the car.

"Show off." Nicole said when she opened up the door and got out.

"Lame." Jack said. "Now come on, the minute I buy our tickets we seperate. Meet back here at 11pm or whenever the race finishes." Jack told her. HE got out a 20 and gave it to her. Nicole looked at the wallet.

"Hey! That's dad's wallet!" Nicole exclaimed.

"So, I need money, you know mom and dad made me quit my job 3 months ago, all that money is gone now." JAck said.

 

Will's charger roared down the road to the race. Music pumped through the car, Metallica. It was one of his favorites, Nothing Else Matters. He sang along to it as he pulled into the race, next to his friends Ally and Nicole. He rolled down a window and grinned. "Hey, what's up?" He called.

 

While Cory was walking around the crowded place he noticed Ally and some of his other friends. So he walked over to them, "why we are all still he?" he asked. "Lets go and find a place to sit for the race," Cory commented. So they all made thier way to the stands. "Anyone want something from the food stand?" Cory asked.

 

"So that mean we're racin today?" asked Cory.
"Ill be back with my my car."

 

Jordan's cousin, Tyler whom is a girl, dropped Jordan off at the racing area. "Call me when the race is over, ok," she asked in a rushy tone. "In a hurry," Jordan asked. "Dad wants me to help him campaign for mayor or whatever. Pretty lame, well see 'ya," she said before driving off.

"Right, campaigning for mayor is lame," Jordan muttered sarcastically. He walked around aimlessly, looking for his friends.

 

Will grinne at Ally. "This is my grandfather's. I'm entering the race tonight." He said, gunning the engine quickly. "I want to win and get some pocket change." He told her. He knew she had seen the other car and wondered why she didn't ask why he wasn't driving it.

 

Nicole walked in and Jack and them seperated. She sighed and walked around. She headed down towards the track and took a seat. She saw some cars circling the track and some racers hanging out. It seemed pretty cool, but it was also very dangerous. She couldn't drive yet, but even if she did drive, she probaly wouldn't race.


"Good afternoon racers and fans! I'd like to welcome you to the special race and introduce our new racer, famous for his races from where he came from, all the way from Pennsylvania, USA, DEVIL JACK!!!" Nicole then jumped up hearing the spectator as a car drove out.

Jack!" She exclaimed.

 

Jacko drove into the race track just as "Devil Jack" was being announced over the speakers. He quickly pressed a button next to his CD player which stopped playing his Coldplay CD while filing through his selected CDs. All Along The Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix started blaring from the speakers in his boot. He took a spot next to Will who he knew from his school. He gave him a quick nod and a wave so that he wouldn't interrupt his conversation with Ally.
