    I think this is crazy but anyway...
    you post one or two fact in Sicence that you have learn about before.

    If you put in a piece of pure Zn into HCl, nothing will happen, but if you put in a piece of pure Mg, it starts to give off a gas violently.
    I hope this has been educational. :cool: :rolleyes:

    Once you get a virus it never goes away, it'll always be inside you meaning if you get the chicken pox you'll always have it except it falls asleep and may or may not wake up, but it'll always be in your genes.

    An alcohol is a Hydroxyl, It will contain a -OH along with at leas a carbon chain (CH3).
    The structure will always have an -OH at the end along with a Carbon chain or more determining that it is an Alcohol. As the Carbon Chain increases the Alcohol changes.
    eg.
    Methanol= CH3OH
    Ethanol= C2H6OH
    Probanol= C3H9OH
    Butanol = C4H12OH

    Another thing to note is that the Boiling Point increases as the length of the Carbon Increases indicating that the less carbon chains it possesses the more pure and unstable it is.

    Sure. Although viruses don't fall asleep. You just become immune to it. And genes are in your cells. Viruses don't go into your genes. Only rewrite them so they'll produce alot of viruses to do the process over again.

    Here's a science fact.

    Light has no mass.

    I meant that, but retro virus take a chunk out of either RNA or DNA and use it to create teh new viruses so technically it is like become part of the gene, but I just learned this stuff, had notes on it on Friday.

    When two elements merge they become a compound.

    >I can have some fun correcting people here. Sorry Kairi Star.<

    When two elements merge, it's called Nuclear Fusion. And when that happens, the two elements just become a bigger element.

    But when elements bond with each other by taking, giving, or sharing electrons, that's when they become a compound.

    And there are four kinds of bonds:

    Ionic bond: One atom takes away electrons from another atom so they both become stable. Table salt, sodium chloride, is an example.

    Covalent bond: Two or more atoms share electrons between each other to become stable. Diamonds, which are made from carbon atoms sharing electrons, is an example.

    Metallic bond: Metals only. Atoms of one metal element, such as iron, come together and their electrons form a sea of electrons. As mentioned above, iron is an example.

    Hydrogen bond: An ionic bond between hydrogen and an extremely electronegative element such as fluorine (sp?).

    Once something is set in motion it can't stop unless something stronger stops the motion.

    Or when it runs out of kinetic energy. Of course, if it's in a vaccum such as space, then it'll never stop until something stops it, as Kairi Star said.

    Hydrogen is the lightest stable atom and lead is the heaviest stable atom.

    To measure energy...
    e=mc^2

    Incase anybody didn't know what that means, I'll say it.

    e=mc^2

    Energy=Mass multiplied by the speed of light squared.

    An atom is made up of three parts, neutron, electron, and proton. Electrons have a negative charge, protons have a positive charge, and neutrons have a neautral charge.

    There are three types of radiation.

    Alpha radiation: It's basically a helium atom without any electrons. Alpha particles are composed of two protons and four neutrons.

    Beta radiation: It's an electron. Beta particles are electrons that are not with any atoms.

    Gamma radiation: It's light. Gamma particles are gamma waves of light.

    c= approximately 300, 000, 000 meters per second.
    300, 000, 000 x 0.33= 990, 000, 000
    c= approximately 990, 000, 000 feet per second for those across the big pond.
    And as mentioned, c=speed of light

    In a vaccum. In the Earth's atmosphere, it's slower. 299 million something meters per second. And it's even slower going through a liquid.

    A light year is the distance light travels in a year in space. Pretty far distance.

    Hence the "aproximately" ;)

    An Alkane has single bonds in their Carbon Chains.
    An Alkene has double bonds in their Carbon Chains.
    An Alkyne has triple bonds in their Carbon Chains.
