Its been One thousand years since the end of Tales of Symphonia two.
The seal of Lord Ratatosk has been undone, and demons have tried to destroy humanity.
But 20 years before hand, a strange planet had crashed into the New combined world of Tethella and Sylvarant, now known as Aer. The planet was Derris-Kharlan. About a hundred half-elves and Kratos moved back to their once true home. Kratos had found a cure for the half-elves. After being sucked into a black hole in the deep reaches of space, many half-elves died on Derris Kharlan, but some miraculously survived.
Now, Kratos had rejoined his son, Lloyd (the Chosen protector of the world who'd received immortality from Martel), Yuan (who, near death, barely clings onto hope), and Genis (who is very old, but looks like he is 50. He is still alive, because he is a half-elf.).
The 4 of them sealed the demons once again in a world not far from there own. The world was called, Phantasia. But unfortunately, Lloyd followed the demons to this other world, and has been put in a situation for which, he must defend the new world he has accidentally doomed.
Mean while Emil was living in peace, and had learned of the events from Genis. He has been summoned to the Court of the Current Meltokio King, the great grandson of Zelos.
A new group of warriors has been called to the Court, in order to save the world from an unknown threat that has started to destroy Aer ever since Lord Ratatosk's seal was broken.....

Emil is a god, duh!!
And the others were blessed with immortaliy by the Godess Martel. Genis was a young half-elf before, and he is like a thousand years old, but half-elves live very long (duh?).

Plot

The main character of the game is Lloyd Irving, who accompanies his childhood friend, the Chosen Colette Brunel, as she journeys to regenerate the world. Colette's other protectors are her friend Genis Sage, her teacher and Genis' older sister Raine Sage, and Kratos Aurion, a mercenary with a mysterious past. Later on in the game, the party is joined by four other people: Presea Combatir, a strong but strange girl; Zelos Wilder, an arrogant playboy that is the Chosen for Tethe'alla, the other world; Sheena Fujibayashi, a female ninja; and Regal Bryant, an ex-convict.


Story

Lloyd Irving, the game's protagonist.The game begins in the world of Sylvarant, a land that is dying due to a steady loss of mana, the energy source that is needed both for magic and to support life itself. As crops begin to wither and hardship sets in, the people turn their hopes to the Chosen, a servant and messiah of the Goddess Martel, who can reverse the ills of the world by completing the Journey of World Regeneration. In order to regenerate the world, the Chosen must travel from continent to continent, awakening the Summon Spirits that sleep at ancient shrines known as "seals." With every seal released, the Chosen comes closer and closer to becoming an angel. Once the Chosen fully transforms into an angel, the world will be regenerated.

As the game progresses, many revelations are made about World Regeneration and the hidden plots that complicate the scenario. One of the earliest revelations is that becoming an angel forces the Chosen to give up the aspects that make him or her human. With the release of the first seal, the Chosen loses the need to eat; with the second, the ability to sleep; with the third, the ability to feel physical sensations; and after releasing the fourth seal, the Chosen can no longer speak. The fifth and final seal requires the Chosen to give up his or her heart, memory, and life. When this process has been completed, the Chosen's body will become one with the goddess Martel.

The party also learns of a second world, known as Tethe'alla, which lies parallel to Sylvarant. Replenishing Sylvarant's supply of mana changes the flow of mana, thereby draining it away from Tethe'alla - much like the sand in an hourglass. The reverse also holds true. As the worlds of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla must compete for a limited amount of mana to survive, whenever one of these two worlds is regenerated, the other falls into a state of mana deprivation.

The party succeeds in releasing all the seals, and Colette becomes Martel's vessel. However, they learn that the angels that they are trying to serve have been using them. The party is betrayed by one of its own members, Kratos, who is then revealed to be an angel. The remaining party then goes to Tethe'alla to find answers, where their goal ultimately changes to saving the two worlds. In order to do this, they decide that they must sever the ties between Sylvarant and Tethe'alla to separate the worlds, thus ending the competition for mana. When they have completed breaking the seals connecting the two worlds, this causes the Great Seed, the giver of mana to the world, to go out of control. In the end, the party revives an ancient tree of ever-flowing mana, which, with the aid of the Eternal Sword, merges the two worlds once more.

Tales of Symphonia 2 (Dawn of the New World
During the events of the first game, Lloyd Irving and his companions embarked to a journey that led to the merging of the twin worlds of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. After the lands became one, however, maps were rendered useless and the climate went through many vast changes: desert towns became frozen wastelands and lakes dried up into valleys. All of this stems from an overlooked factor in the unification of the worlds: the spirit of the old Kharlan Tree, Ratatosk, still exists somewhere, and its slumber has sent the world into chaos.[2] To complicate matters, tensions have quickly escalated between the people of the two worlds. The Tethe'allans look down upon the Sylvaranti due to their inferior technology, and the Sylvaranti fear the Tethe'allans for their power. Two years have passed since the worlds were first merged, and the Sylvaranti have created an army, known as the Vanguard, with which to rise against the Church of Martel and the Tethe'allans.

One day, the Church of Martel goes to war with the Vanguard, and Sylvarant's city of Palmacosta is caught in the crossfire. Countless innocent lives are lost and the city is consumed in flames. This event comes to be known as the "Blood Purge," a massacre allegedly led by the same Lloyd Irving who helped unite the worlds two years before. Emil Castagnier, a Palmacostan boy, is forced to watch as his parents are killed by Lloyd; after this traumatic incident, he is sent to Luin to live with his aunt and uncle. He suffers continual mistreatment from them, however, and he is further ostracized by the people of the city, who view Lloyd as a hero.

Emil's life takes a dramatic turn when he befriends Marta Lualdi, a girl who is being hunted by the Vanguard and the enigmatic Richter Abend alike. Determined to protect her, Emil confronts Richter and helps Marta escape with the aid of Tenebrae, a centurion spirit who serves Ratatosk. Tenebrae states that there are other centurions who lie in a dormant state: to restore balance to the world's environment, all of them should be awoken in order to revive Ratatosk. Emil forms a pact with Tenebrae, and in so doing becomes the Knight of Ratatosk. So it is that Emil and Marta embark on their journey of revenge and restoration.

 

Yeah, sure. Like ah......Yuan maybe? And maybe his son if you want? Or a brand new character, I dont care. Sounds good. Most of the Cruxis Angels do that kinda stuff, using mana for immoral ways to gain power.

There are more characters I'd like to include. We need at least Genis/Lloyd/and the new King. We could do without Yuan for now.
