Restraint

Kid blacked out from the blast becoming unconscious for the time being.
When he came to, he woke up in a hospital bed. "What the hell happened" he said rubbing his head. "Sh*t, that kid sure made things interesting" he saw his clothes on a chair nearby. Moving his arms and legs, his limbs seemed fine but his chest was sore. He looked at his chest to see it all bandaged up. "I've still got a job to do, time to get going." he hopped up and put on his clothes and waked out. A nurse tried stopping him warning him that he still isn't fully recovered but Kid simply ignored her pushing her out of the way. He was heading back to his house again to get more stuff for his job.

 

"You really should rest," Johnnathan spoke up, "You're lucky I was able to create a magnetic field by conducting two electrical currents. It allowed me and Dimitri to walk away unscratched. I carried you here under the bosses orders." A calming, befriending smile was plastered on his face as he spoke. If he had his choice Kid would be lying in a grave by now. That move Nicole used took him by surprise, but now he had a basic idea of how she used her A.S.R. powers. Oh yes. This was most certainly going to be fun.

 

"Well, I guess I should thank you then, we also got off on the wrong foot" Kid was having a change of heart towards Jonathan. "You gotta place to stay? Come over to my place for a couple of rounds if you want" he smiled. Kid tossed a card to Jonathan, it was the details of Kids house. "Not many people get these. In fact, your the second fre... person I have given this to. Well I'll see you there tonight, your buddy can come on over too if he wants" Kid began to walk on home to have a rest.

 

Nicole watched the building fall. She was mad as well and appeared in front of them all.

"I know what your all thinking. We need to get revenge, well we can't, not yet. We need to blend in now. Men join unions and go to work, women make little women clubs and go to work, kids go to school. We need to find people that can trust us. We need their help." Nicole told them.

"So it's time to blend in." Nicole finished off. She looked at Jordan.

"You get rid of your anger there. I need to go now people." Nicole told them and she disappeared. She appeared in front of an old small city house. She looked up at an open second floor window. Nicole flew up and entered the window. In the room two adults slept. She leaned against the wall and stared at them like they were something good to eat. She wasn't going to eat them though. Nicole stood there and had thoughts of her early child hood in her mind. A boy apppeared in the doorway with a hand gun pointing at Nicole. Nicole looked and shook her head. She put her finger up to her mouth to be quite. The ywent out into the back yard.

"ASR USER!" He yelled at her and shot the gun. She caught the bullet though. The boy became scared.

"Jack stop what your doing your going to wake everyone up." Nicole said.

"How'd you know my name, ASR user. You need to die." The boy, Jack said and ran at Nicole to punch her, but she caught his fist. HE couldn't move.

"Don't you reconise me?" Nicole asked him. The boy looked at her and stepped back. Nicole turned to her ASR form then turned into her 3year old appearence. The went back to her usual appearence.

"Jack it's me, Nicole!" Nicole said. Jack stared in disbelif.

"How? Dad said you'd be dead." Jack said.

"Jack! What's going on?" A man appeared on the deck and looked at the girl and the gun in Jack's hand.

"An ASR user. Kill her son!" The man yelled. Before JAck came back to his senses and shook his head.\

"Dad no, this is different, we haven't seen this 11 years." Jack said. Nicole looked at the man.

"What? how so?" The man asked. Nicole sighed and faced the man.

"Because, Dad, I'm Nicole." Nicole said. The man's eyes widend and started down the deck stares before a girl came by first and was crying tears of joy followed bya women.

"Jennifer!" The man called after the girl. The girl was about 13 years old.

"What daddy? It's Nicolle!" She exclaimed. The women already reached Nicole and hugged her.

"I listened in, I missed you so much, I prayed every night that I'd find you again, that you weren't caught or killed." The woman said. Nicole looked at the woman's face. She reconised the woman.

"You're never aloud to leave again." The woman said. The man walked down and put his hand on Nicole's shoulder.

"She can't stay here, we're checked often to see if we have her back. They'll kill her for sure." The man said.

"John, we can't force her out." The woman said.

"Mary, we have to." The man said.

"You don't have to hide me here." Nicole said.

"I came for a visit while I was in town, I plan to head north to Boston." Nicole toold them. The woman looked at Nicole and hugged her tighter and was crying sad tears now.

"No, Nicole!" The woman exclaimed. JAck looked over at garbage cans seeing a shadow of a human.

"Let's take this inside." Jack said. The family went inside to where 3 smalled kids were at. They went in teh family room and sat down. Nicole told them all what happened to her.

"You were forced to do crimes? EHre in New York, we never saw you on the news." The man said.

"That's because when in there 'care' I was forced to stay in my natural appearence." Nicole told them.

"Daddy, is she my sister?" The youngest boy in the group about 4 asked. The woman nodded.

"Might as well tell you what's been going on with us." Jack said. The man nodded.

"Well the family grew bigger and stuff, I lost my buisness, and your mother's a stay at home mother now and not the model she used to be for Macy's." The man said. Nicole nodded. It wasn't full detail like her story, but she understood nothing much has happened. A little girl about 7 sat up on the couch next to Nicole.

"Honey.... listen, I'm sorry... I'm sorry we had to leave you." The man spoke out. Nicole looked at him.

"Follow me." The man said leading upstairs they walked in to the attic. It was unchanged from it's appearence before. It wwas Nicole's room. Nicole looked around sand saw laying on the bed a warrant. She walked over and picked it up. She began to read.

"In order by law, Nicole Mary Smith is to be killed the 19th day of March. You can either killed your ASR user or we kill it and you be arrested." She read aloud.

"We didn't want to kill you, so we went camping that week. We just wanted to get away. Then we recieved a phone call on our cell phone to return back with either a dead ASR user or a living one. We returned without you for that reason, you'd been killed. I ended up going to jail for 5 years and like your mother said I hope that you were ok and tehy didn't go to where we camped at looking for you." The man said. Nicole felt tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I always thought it was because I was a freak. I remebered when you took me out of preschool and a preschooler was in our backyard you went out to find out what was going on I heard coming from the preschooler I was a freak. When you came in you were emotionless and I thought you agreeded." Nicole said. "So that was why you left me out there." Nicole said. The man sat down on the bed next to Nicole and put his arm around her and looked at her.

"I'd never do that for that reason. You were my little girl, you knew that." The man said. Nicole nodded then heard yelling from downstairs and a deep voice.

"We have recieved word that you're hiding an ASR user here." The voice said. Nicole's father stood up. Nicole stood up as well.

"Go hide for now, return in a bit please." The man, Nicole's father pleeded. Nicole looked around and looked at him. She nodded and disappeared. Nicole's father went downstairs.

"We already sent her away." Nicole's father said.

 

Johnnathan mused with the card in his hand. The pathetic human thought some sort of alliance or, worse and more disgustingly, a ... friendship. Without too much care Johnnathan commited the details of the card to memory and then after he was done, he tore it to shreads using his A.S.R. ability when no one was looking, "Well well. Lets keep playing." Another sickly grin spread across his face as he started to leave the hospital. If the human wanted to think they'd be allies, then let him. All the more pleasure to see what his expression would be if he died by a rogue lightening bolt. "Dimitri, lets go."

 

Nicole was standing invicible then she heard a voice in her own head making her lay her hand on her head.

"Crampage is lose, you must go stop him." The voice said. Nicole focussed. It was Jordan. She appeared on teh street in her natural appearence. Her body was famine with long hair, her entire body was blue. she looked down on the street. She extended her arm and Jordan's body began to float. She pulled it up to where she was at to hide it.

"Let Jordan go." Nicole said to him. She crossed her arms. Her body was glowing due to her appearence.

 

James was the first to be on the street. "Whoa, red and ugly," he said while laughing. "I don't remember seeing you in any of the files. Maybe your the kid that had no background? Oh, I know now, your the kid who killed a lot of our men in good 'ol Cali." He made a fireball in his hand. "I heard you hate fire." He made a big fire circle around Jordan.

 

Nicole glanced down.

"Oh come on, think Nicole, think..." Nicole said rubbing her chin.

"Perhaps, maybe I can be assitance, I know him, back where I came from before merging with you, I was the only one who could control him." The voice said in her head. Nicole nodded.

"Go ahead then." Nicole said. She closed her eyes and her eyes reopened being purple. She jumped off the roof of the building and made the ground below Carnage's feet catch on fire.

"Carnage! You know who I am, I know you remeber me! You need to stop this! Leave them alone!" The girl yelled, her name was Angel.

 

"I know that, so does nicole and Jordan, but guess what this is not going to help. We need humans as well to live, you knew when we came here you needed to find a human to live off of or you would die. So leave the humans be. For once listen to someone elses plan." Angel said crossing her arms.

"Now let Jordan have his body back, and don't go interupting again, let Jordan and Nicole handle things for us." Angel said.

"I know I'm usually against the lazy approach, but just do it." Angel said.

 

"All your's Nicole." angel said closing her eyes her eye color returned to normal and her body glowed appearing in her natural form.

"Man what a mess to clean up here, better get started." Nicole said. She snapped her fingers and clones of herself showed up and went to work on cleaning up the city and stuff. Soon everyone was normal. Some people were scared but many looked at Nicole. Nicole walked over to a car in which the door was jammed shut with someone inside. Nicole examined the door and kicked it on top and lifted down the door came off and helped the person out of the car. The person looked at Nicole then ran off.

A news reported couldn't believe it, but began writing down about an ASR Super Hero." Nicole smield when everything was pretty normal again and she and Jordan disappeared. Appearing in her families back yard.

"Take all teh ASR users and head north to Boston, get the one's there and tell them exactly what I told you here, I'll head to Philadelphia, then Niagra Falls, Canada, you can meet me there and once we get all the ASR in the north east go to Washington and have them stay there we can get the rest of the country. Now I have other things to attend to, don't make me have my ASR stop Carnaga again." Nicole said. She turned around on teh deck she saw her father smiling at her.

"You won't believe what's on the news right now." HEr father said. She headed inside and looked.

"Just a hour ago in Time Square a major accident had occured of an ASR aliene taking over it's human before another ASR user's alien took over and stopped him. That good ASR alien person went and cleaned up Time Square. It looks as if nothing has happened." The news reporter said.

"It was a miracle, it was like, wait there's no way that's an ASR user. It doesn't match an explamation that goverment has told us." A witness said.

"It was amazing, the girl helped me out of my car, I couldn't thank her nor talk I was afraid she'd turn around and hurt me, but she didn't the minute the place was cleaned up she and anotehr ASR user left." Anotehr witness said.

"This is an amazing thing. An ASR hero helping us out. It's like the old TV shows we all watched as kids with super heroes and stuff." A firefighter said.

"People all over New York are now wondering could we have an ASR super Her-" The reporter said before the TV cut off. Goverment cut it off.

"Super hero, way to go Nicole!" Jack said. Nicole looked at the screen and blincked. She pointed at herself.

"Super hero..." She said. "In New York... Jordan I think we might have got all of New York on our side." Nicole said. She felt her father's hand on her shoulder.

"You did good, you should stick aroudn now, stopping so many crimes, this will spread accross the country." Her father said.

"Maybe, but I was going to go and get otehr ASR users." Nicole said.

"No don't go, plus the next time the police search here we can say the New York super hero livves here not an ASR user." Her motehr said.

"Maybe..." Nicole said.

 

Nicole looked at her parents bugging her to stay.

"I don't want to endanger you." Nicole said. She looked at Jordan.

"You seem deep in thought." Nicole said to him and looked at her parents.

"I got a mission now, it's to get as many humans in the country on our side to trust ASR users." Nicole told them.

"I'm sorry, I can't stay." She said.

"PLease, Nicole, I haven't seen you in 11 years." Her mother pleaded.

"You have plenty of kids to look after, and help, too." Nicole said.

 

Nicole looked at them all.

"Just tell people ASR's are safe and not harmful." Nicole said leaving. She looked at Jordan.

"If your ASR is going to talk about me, then tell him to do it not so loud remering I can still hear him. Nicole said walking out past him. She headed down the street. Nicole stopped and looked and saw flash lights in Central Park.

"Found them." Nicole said. She crossed the street to Central Park and entered the park soon to find hiding under a bridge all the ASR users. She looked at them all.

"New York I have a feeling is on our side now. We're heading onto Boston." Nicole told them.

 

Back in his own house, Kid tokk off his bandages to see the damage. "Ouch, she did this?" he thought to himself. He bandaged himself up again and decided to tinker around with his toys. "These freaks are strong, but they die like we can" taking a mental note to himself. "Disgusting, me making friends with that Jonathan freak, this is probably the best way to learn more about them though." Kid went to his bar and pulled out a bottle quarter full of whiskey. "This should ease me up a bit and shake of the thoughts" he smiled before swigging the bottle by himself.
