Oh damn calm down. I wasn't trying to mock you at all. I was just asking for some sort of proof. This is the internet. Anything we say could be a lie. I could say something that isn't true and you guys wouldn't know if I was saying the truth or not because we don't see each other in person. All I asked was for a little explanation, that's all.

And yes, I understand about you not wanting to post pics of yourself on the internet.

This world is filled with “posers,” so you are going to have to hate a lot of people, Mythril Roxas. Are you really willing to do that? Does it really anger you that much?

One of the reasons so many people seem like “posers” is because of the fact that they are trying to figure out who they are. We are fearfully made, extremely complex beings with an intricate patchwork of culture, ideas, etc. that make up our worldview. It takes a good deal of time to figure out who we are/who we want to be/where we are supposed to go or do. Please consider giving people a bit of a break if not for any other reason, ok, Mythril Roxas? And also, learning is a process. If summonerbrandon wants to call himself a fighter, let him learn to be one; don’t shoot him down immediately without a chance. Everyone makes mistakes. We are human. When I started learning about music, I knew pretty much nothing. (I still cannot sight read…so sad.) Sometimes I guess I feel like a poser because I still attend festivals and stuff by audition (vocal)…but I can’t sight read proficiently. At the same time, though, in being allowed to be in the festivals and such, I am learning. It’s a slow process, but I hope to get there someday. This process of learning is familiar to everyone. I don’t think anyone tries to be a poser so they can be labeled as one. I would say it is because of 1) an identity crisis, which is a normal part of human development, 2) the learning process, 3) ignorance in general.

BTW, I think that making a weapon is impressive. A staff is just as much a weapon as a sword. If tessen (fans) are weapons, a “stick” is too.

…mocking the arts? Once you have become a master of every single art there is to know, then you can request/order that he not mock. But until then, I think it’s a bit much to proclaim that summonerbrandon is mocking the arts by at least attempting to pursue an art form. Why are you judging so harshly? (Please note that taking sides is not something that I do…with people. I feel that it is necessary to point out that the argument seems disproportionate…)


And about lies...I really don't think that we want to get into that. How can you listen to a lie as plain as day? It's a really good rhetorical question. It's also a really good question to ask in general. Yes, that remark was somewhat pointed. However, it applies to me as well. Why do I listen to lies that come from satan? I don't know, but I do know that I shouldn't.

 

Just leave this argment from me & mythril alone. I already know that I am a fighter & that's that. No reason to keep on talking about it. I already left it alone & I don't care if he don't trust me or not. We're here to talk about the arts & more about them & that's it.

 

...as you desire. Slightly dark, though not too intentional...but anyway, what I had to say, in defense of those I was defending (which was not limited to summonerbrandon), isn't a load of bull. I wouldn't post it if it was. [It is beneficial for all parties to read such posts because they can be edified--as opposed to one person, many--which is why I prefer not to pm in most cases.] Continuing with the discussion about the arts...

I leave to the next person, because I no longer have anything to contribute.

 

Just a quick in on this whole little debacle everyone was having. Is the definition of artist one who only follows the set rules before them? Those people are artists, yes, they are supporting the arts that exist. But one that makes an art his OWN, is also an artist, possibly to an even greater degree because they are using their own origional strengths and weaknesses. You don't have to confrom to the norm to be an artist, and some are "posers" but some are not.

I would go with Muay Tahi just cause I the brutalness of it
