Fallen Valkyries [Semi-limited RP] OOC/SU

The Valkyries

A valkyrie "chooser of the slain" is one of a host of female figures who choose those who die in battle. The valkyries bring their chosen who have died bravely in battle to the afterlife hall of the slain, Valhalla, ruled over by the god Odin, where the deceased warriors become einherjar. There, when the einherjar are not preparing for the events of Ragnarök, the valkyries bear them mead. Valkyries also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty, sometimes accompanied by ravens, and sometimes connected to swans.

But what if this honourable view of the valkyries is not always as it is.

What if, even among the valkyries, there is TREACHERY?

In times long past, a group of rogue valkyries
sought to overthrow Odin Allfather. They began to whisper in the ear of Thor, of Odins corruption, and launched many false doubts into Thor's heart.

After 11 years of this, Thor's spirit broke. Even a god succumbed to the will of the Valkyries, most beautiful of creatures. A great battle ensued, and Thor's hammer struck again and again on Odin. But Odin was mightiest of gods, and struck Thor down. As Thor lay, dying, Odin begged him to tell him why he had fought with him.

And Thor told.

The treacherous valkyries were thrust from Valhalla, down to Earth. Their wings stripped, never to fly again. Hate and vengeance fueled them. They swore they would destroy the world that they had been thrust to. Ad with that, no knowledge of them was even heard of for milennia..

And now they've emerged. The world is in Chaos. The most important men in the world have been entrapped by the drop-dead- beautiful Valkyries. With their emergence, an earthquake rumbled. For an unknown reason,
seemingly random people within the hour after the earthquake received... gifts.

These people have grown since then.

And now they have learned what must be done.The Valkyries must be stopped, at any cost. They have yet to meet. But a strong calling draws them to a place up a distant and desolate mountain. Soon they will begin to discover their powers.

And discover long forgotten truths...

*Please do not assume your character is in because you have posted a profile. Wait for approval.

*DO NOT steer the plot. The plot is not controlled by ANYONE, including me, so why should you control it? Each RPer influences the plot. Anyone making statements about another persons character that aren't true, and are not in the form of a thought of their character, will be asked to change their post.

*All male characters will have a weakness for the Valkyries. However, they will not succumb to it (permanently at least..) unlike other people.

*If somebody isn't online and is a vital member of the story at that point, then STOP for the love of god! Oh, and because it's me, spammers will be shot! (Seriously, I'm not kidding you *******!) *cough*

*Remember, thought his RP contains Valkyries, it's based on real physics. Gifts are weak to begin with, and I'll nudge the RP to this side and that every now and then, but if everyones against me, then I can't do anything. D: So don't start capturing fairies and getting kidnapped by dwarves! ^_^

Name: Elana - Second name unknown.
Age: 16
Sex: Female
Background: Elana doesn't know much about herself. Her earliest memory was of a woman laying her down in a blanket behind a bush, and desperately shushing her. She remembered what had been said to the word even now. "Shush Elana. Please dear, please! Now, now don't cry, good girl. That's it be nice and sile-" and then the memory simply.. ended.

She went by that name ever since a couple strolling in the same woods had found her. She didn't remember that, she must have been only 2 at the time, but she had been told of it. Apparently they heard crying, and when they investigated, they found a toddler.

Visions came to her for many uears, but she could never decipher them. Then, on her sixteenth birthday, a crystal clear vision spoke to her. It told her to travel, and she did not question it. It told her of her gift. It told her many questions she had asked, but never anything personal about herself.

And so she just.. knew.. where to go. She didn't know how, but she just did. She bid a sad farewell to her adoptive parents and pursued her unknown goal.

Gift: When she stepped on dry and crumpled grass, she noticed it stood a bit straighter, and though she felt a little dizzy for a few minutes afterwards, soon noticed the grass became slightly greener. She restored the life in the plant slightly, but when she tried on a dead tree, nothing happened. She could only restore small plants.

Personality: Elana is one of those people who usually says little, but what she says is worth saying. She is quick to strike, and defends herself and those she loves ferociously. She doesn't like to be doing nothing, and makes sure she always has an idea ready for anything she thinks she might need one for..
