Pokemon: Guardians of the World

"Lets go Jolteon" Adam called while running to the docks, "This is the last boat for today" He called to his large and favourite pokemon.

"Jolt" His pokemon called out before running underneath him and picking him up onto his back.

"There it is Joleon" Adam smiled as he hung on to his speeding pokemon.

 

((I'm sorry if this is a little long, I tried to make it easy to read, though. ))


As the great, calming silence of night soon was overcome by day- Nobu was awaken by

the wet, slobbery feel of a soft, squirming object that had been placed on his cheek.

It was a tongue. A warm, slippery tongue that lapped redundantly on Nobu's face.

Nobu's Pokémon, 'Bonfire'- a cute l'il Growlithe, licked Nobu's face till Nobu jumped out of bed laughing.


"Bonfire, s-s-stop it!" Nobu laughed as the little puppy panted and smiled as he sat on all

fours at the tip of Nobu's bed.

"So, bud- why are you up so early?" Nobu smiled rubbing his eyes and yawning.


"Yarr-yip!" Nobu's Growlithe, Bonfire, yipped as he snuggled under the covers with

Nobu and collapsed at Nobu's feet.


"Alright, just don't suffocate under there, okay?" Nobu laughed as he plunged his head into his futon.

Nobu sniffled at the stale dust that pondered his room as Nobu noticed the curtains on his room's porthole were opened.

The sun blasted a shower of warmth and light on the back of Nobu's neck.

Nobu felt the back of his neck with the back of his right hand. Pretty hot- sizzling almost.


Nobu then sat up and undid the ponytail he would wear to bed so he wouldn't

get to hot in the middle of the night, but at this moment-

he thought it would shield his sunburnt neck from the heat.


"cor.... core... phich-phish-phish..."


Nobu heard a noise and stood up, "Huh? HUH? Who's there???"

Even though Nobu was surrounded by Pokémon who made different noises and sounds-

he was pretty paranoid at times. What if it's a burglar??? Nobu thought to himself,

and still, even though he knew his Blaziken or Garchomp would wipe them out in a second-

he was still startled by what else is could be if it weren't his Pokémon.


The sound then got a little louder, "corphish-cor, phish-phish-phish..."

But still, Nobu couldn't hear what he, she, or IT was saying.


When Nobu thought of the word it, he gulped... then he heard the noise again clearly,

sounding like it was at the bottom of his bed!


"Cor... PHISH!" The thing yelled as Nobu's Corphish jumped up and did a water-gun at Nobu's face!


Nobu coughed some water up, "Heh- eh, heh, heh..." Nobu laughed stupidly

as he noticed it had just been his Corephish.

"You- a... you really had me fooled there, Corephish..." Nobu smiled slightly while rubbing the back of his head.


"Nagato? Hey, Nagato!" A voice yelled through Nobu's cabin door.

"We're at Orange Islands- we'll give you and the other passengers who are

stopping here an hour and a half to pack up your stuff, 'kay?" The very strong, masculine voice commanded.


"Yes, sir!" Nobu said trying not to tip over as he stood on one leg- trying to get his pants on.

 

"Use vine whip Venus." a masculine voice called out from the beach. Guy was standing there with his Bulbasaur Venus. As the voice cracked the air Venus' Vine Whip hit the waters rolling into the cost. "Great job V, you get stronger every day." He picked her up and held her in his arms.

"Bul-bulba!" Venus nuzzled with Guy's arm happily. Guy's purple hair swayed lightly with the breeze and his golden eyes gleamed in the sun. He looked up at the never ending sky, then he heard the sound of a horn.

"Oh no we're going to miss the boat if we don't hurry up. We can't have that happen." Guy held out his hand revealing a pokeball. "GO! Torterra!" He shouted as a large tortoise pokemon appeared. "Use Vine Whip on that post!" He pointed his fingers down the dock and sure enough Torterra grappled the post with it's vines. He climbed on with Venus still in his arms. "Now pull Torterra!" Torterra tightened his grip causing them to slid torward the ship. They came to a stop at the foot of the boat. Guy nodded his head to a fellow trainer on a Jolteon and then called back Torterra. "Good job buddy, now...Return!" He put the pokeball back on his belt and walked onto the ship.

 

"Hold that boat!" Tom yelled, running towards it. He was running late since he overslept... Again. He got on the boat and sat down, trying to catch his breath. "Dang... Gotta stop doing that." He looked around at everybody staring at him. "Hehe... Sorry about that."

 

Guy looked around at all of the experienced pokemon trainers on the boat. He saw a few lesser experienced but they all had potential. He wondered how long it would be until poeple stopped trying to race onto the boat and they would actually leave the docks.

He noticed a boy who had just gotten on the ship, he looked frantic and tired. 'If only he had a pokemon like Torterra, he would have made it on time.'

"Um, hello there." He whipped up the courage to speak. "You seem to have almost missed the boat." He retorted to th boy. His Bulbasaur jumped out of his arms and ran up to the boy. "She seems to like you, thats my Bulbasaur Venus."

 

"Ok we made it" Adam said patting his Jolteon.

Adam and Joteon took a seat on the open deck.

"Here we come" Adam said louder than he had intended and Jolteon gave him a nudge in the leg making Adam fall flat on his backside.

Adam could here the giggles of some girls close by and than rubbed the back of his neck and smiled.

Adam decided he mightiest well have a little fun so he went over and began talking to them. With Jolteon at his feet of course.

 

Seth was already on the boat before most other people and had already seen quite a few battles on the boat.While most werent anything specuial,there were some real good trainers here.He spotted some people who had only barley made it on to the boat.These were the only ones he didnt know were good or not.So he decided he should see for himself.He got up and walked over to Guy and Tom first."Hello there."He simply said.

 

Nobu opened his cabin door and saw a bunch of newbies, he walked over to them-

"Hey, 'sup guys? I'm Nobu." He smiled offering his hand to anyone willing to take it.

 

"Yeah, I have a tendancy of oversleeping." Tom smiled as he looked down at the Bulbasaur. "Ya know, Bulbasaur is my brother's favorite Pokemon."

"Hi." Tom said. "I'm Tom."

 

Guy smiled trying to be friendly. He picked up Venus in one arm and bowed respectfully. "My name is Guy by the way." He said happily. "If you would've missed the boat you might have been dissapointed, it looks like there might be a storm which would delay the boats." Guy glanced up at the sky and then back down again, his golden eyes now seemed grey with the darker sky.

"Oh really? Well I can understand why, I would probably die without Venus, she was my first pokemon afterall." He hugged his Bulbasaur

Guy turned as he saw a fellow trainer walk up and greet him. He smiled slightly although he wasn't keen on talking anyone else it took guts for him to talk to Tom. "Hi there," He paused. "Um, what brings you to orange Islands?"

 

"Myself?To...challenege myslef and others would be why.Which is also why I am here.I would like to challenge one of you to a battle."Seth said.The storm was starting to reach them as well,and he would be dissapointed if they decided not to have a battle because of a little rain.

 

After Nobu got off the boat, there was a flah of lightning that cracked the sky, and then, "BOOM" a surge of lightning came down and shocked Nobu.

Nobu's Blaziken who had been walking with him panicked for a second.

"Blaze... BLAZE?!" He stuttered as he through the unconscious Nobu onto his red, soft, feathery back and dashed as quick as a car doing 80 on a cleared, smooth highway until he used the corner of his eye to spot a Pokémon Center.

Blaziken did not know Human hospitals, and took Nobu to where Nobu always took him. To the Pokémon Center.

Blaziken literally flew in the front doors and dropped Nobu against the wall. Nurse Joy saw Blaziken drop off the boy and gasped.
"Oh no! Is your friend hurt?" She asked the Blaziken as she check lifeless Nobu for a pulse.

Everyone is the Pokémon Center was alarmed as Nurse Joy strolled Nobu into the ER with a stretcher.

Blaziken was worried, "Bla... Blaze Blaa..." He murmured quietly as the Nurse took Nobu away.

"Would he be alright?" Blaziken thought in his head, "I cannot protect him this time like I always do...

 

Guy looked up at the sky although not for long due to rain water falling in his eyes. He blinked after glancing back towards Seth. "What about it Venus, you think we're up for it?." His Bulbasaur shook her head repelling a few drops of rain. Guy nodded his head at seth. " Sure then, we'll fight you." He sat Venus on the ground behind him and held out his hand. "I'm going to save you for last ok?" He asked her.

"Bulba-SAUR!" she jumped happily behind him.

"You can go first...if you want." He said as he placed his right hand on a pokeball.

 

"Alright then.Koffing,go!"Seth said as he threw a pokeball into the air,and a second later a koffing came out of it.The koffing floated down until it was about eye level with Seth,though it was facing Guy."Well then,lets see what you got!"

 

Guy watched carefully as Seth called out Koffing. Guy had never fought a Koffing before so he wanted to be as cautious as possible, at first anyway. He pulled the pokeball he was holding his hand over off of his belt and held it in the air above his head. "Let's get em' Toxicroak!" He shouted as a white beam filtered from the poke ball. Toxicroak appeared in front of him in a fighting stance.

"Tox-i-croak!" it grunted as it if were shouting a battle cry, it began to lightly jump on it's toes back and forth staring down the Koffing.He took a few steps back after calling out his pokemon.

"It's nice to battle in the rain." He said aloud, then without hesitation he answered the call of battle. "Quick Toxicroak, use Poison Jab!" Toxicroak moved swiftly on it's feet bobbing and weaving as it ran towards Koffing. "Croak!" it yelled as it attempted to jab Koffing.

 

Koffing was hit,but die to its on nature took very little damage.Seth smiled and saided "Alright Koffing,Flamethrower!"Koffing opened its mouth a great wave of flames came out of its mout going directly for Toxicroak.The gas around it was also hit by the flames,causing a flare of flames to go around it like a shield.

 

Guy looked pleased when Toxicroak made contact but, when he saw the smirk on Seth's face he had realized that poison on a poison pokemon was a bad idea. His eyes widened as the flame thrower burst out the Koffings mouth. Since Toxicroak had been so close he didn't have time to dodge it completely. Toxicroak fell backwards with burns on his skin. "Uh, oh no. What should I do..." Guy thought aloud.

He looked over toward the Koffing then back at Toxicroak. "Ok I think I know now" He said once more. "Toxicroak use Double Team!" Guy shouted. Toxicroak stood up and began to run around Koffing in circles

"Toxi-croak,croak,croak,croak,croa,cro,cr-" eventually the Double Team was succeded.
'I hope my plan works' Guy thought to himself.

 

Koffing was starting to see double and looked confused,but Seth was keeping his cool."Koffing,smokescreen"His voice was calm and got his pokemon back into the game as it spewed forth alot of smoke.The fire was gone by now so it didnt catch fire,and the part of the boat they were fighting on was thick with smoke.Koffing blended in with the smoke perfectly.
