Yes it is, in every respect. How does taking the life of someone who has taken someone else's life right? The justice system in this world is messed up, the word Justice is even an insult

I don't believe in Capital Punishment

murder : to kill someone intentionally and unlawfully

    is capital punishment murder?
The law has the legitamacy to take away a life of a criminal, where as murder is taking away a life of the innocent,

    Therefore it is not murder

Ninja is 100% with her statement. But that doesn't mean what their doing is correct. Its not murder, but its not right.

i never said that it was a correct way to punish somone kupo,
i only stated that it is not murder.

can capital punishment be justified as fair is another arguement.

It's a matter of opinion. Sure it may be within the law, but that doesn't necessarily make it right. In the US certain states have laws while others don't. Each state has some specific laws. In some states it's perfectly legal to beat your wife, while in other's its not. Sure, it's within the law, but is it correct? That's where one's specific viewpoint comes into play

The government will make whatever they take as right and make it a law, so they can justify their own actions. That's my opinion

It mightn't be murder, but it's not right. No one has the right to take someone elses life, in my honest opinion, whatever the circumstance

The only life we have the right to take is our own

in my honest opinion, i think the law should have the right to take away the lives of those who have commited treacherous crimes such as taking lives themself.

I think it's wrong. The person should go to jail for the rest of there life, but not be murdered due to capital punishment. Plus one of teh amendments of the US Bill of Rights states no cruel and painful punishments, meaning it goes against the constitution.

I believe the person should go to solitary prison for life.

Actually, the cruel and unusuall punishment wouldnt cover that if they made it fast and painless.not exactly cruel is it?

However,I would lik,e to say that,in life, murder and many other things do not exist. To the human mind they do,but that is because we give words to things we have seen or felt. The taking of life has been around since the beggining with animals and humans alike, though animals is usually for food while humans is in things such as war or something petty as wanting your money back,or to get drugs. The taking of someones life is something I do not like,as is not war or other things invovling the taking of life, but it also comes to this.Say you are against capital punishment, but then someone kills say your wife or husband or child? You may want them to die, maybe even painfully and slowly to get your message across. To me,this is something that humans are capable of,and most people would want the killer to die if one of their own was killed.Life isnt always black and white, and we cant just say we dont need captial punishment as it may be something that is needed to insure that someone doesnt kil again. Also, the problem with life imprisinment is that we,the ones who didnt commit the crime, have to pay to keep them locked up.While im all for that,i would gladly pay to keep them away for good, not only does it take alot of money, those without life sentences (and I think some who do)end up getting out and killing more people. Its something that isnt an easy fix, even with the death penelty.

It IS right to kill a bad person if they deserve it.

HaHa, and give them some freedom? Let 'em get but fucked and play basketball the rest o' there lives? Or let 'em get sentenced to life in prison, only to get out in 10 years on good behavior? Thats bullshit, they'll just go and do it again!! Kill the bitches so they can get a new fresh start as somethin' else (I believe in reincarnation ^_^), so they can live as a slug and learn from the bloody mistake!!!!!!
    Murderers deserve to DIE!!!!!!!

Whats to say the person has changed once inside, I believe second chances are good for everyone, but a third chance is just stupid.

dont make the same mistake twice. Thats what I believe in this case. Letting them go because they've "changed" allows that to happen, your taking a risk at making the mistake twice.

Your missing the point, just because something is legal doesn't make it right. Each person has their own ethics, and to say whether something is right or wrong is down to each persons individual opinion

Kupo said that, even though its not murder, it may not be right. We can stand here all day and say what's right and wrong, and point the fingers all we want. There's no point in saying that someone's opinion is right or wrong

I don't think that Capital Punishment is murder.

First, that ammendment says that Cruel and Unusual punisment is illegal. An example would be hanging somebody from their toes until they die.

And I don't think that they should go to prison for the rest of their life. That would mean my tax dollars is paying for them.

I myself don't believe in Reincarnation the way Bhuddists believe, but I wouldn't mind if it was true.

I don't believe that. There are some people who don't deserve another chance. People need to pay for the crimes they've commited.
