Eastern Promises

Will went up to Kazan. "I heard about the mission to Arcadian territory, may I join this crusade?" He asked, tightening his sword belts.

 

Kate looked out into the sky. She looked down on the city on the cliff she lived on with her father. She turned around to see him limping out with his cane. He sat down on the bench by the tree. He closed his eyes.

"Something is diffrent today." He said. Kate nodded.

"I felt it as well." Kate said. She looked over torwards the castle. She turned around and walked over to the bench and sat down next to her father. He put his hand on hers. She looked up.

"Something is bothering you as well, I can feel it." He said. Kate looked at him. With his other hand he pushed her hair behind her ears.

"Yes, I really don't know what it is though, is that strange?" Kate asked.

"No, it's fine. I have those days, like today, it's when you feel something wrong around you, you yourself feel something wrong, but nothing will be, that'a from you just growing up and your magic getting stronger." He said.

 

A wide grin crossed Kazan's face. "Do you even have to ask Will?", Kazan said in a hearty tone. "A warrior such as yourself would be of unlimited aid on a venture such as this"

Kazan and Will were good friends, they used to have sword sparring battles in the courtyard from time to time. Both of them studied under Erin

 

Will grinned. "My ranging skills and then swordsmanship? Me and you would beat the army but they came in such numbers that we can't."

 

"Ha! I'm sure of it friend!", Kazan laughed. "But onto more pressing issues, I have been given orders by his majesty to round up the rest of our kin, the imperial troops. Would you aid me? This battle shall not be an easy one, as the Arcadian empire presses on ever so vigorously"

He looked at Will in the eyes, as the both of them smiled, they knew they would be entering battle again shortly

 

Will grinned. "Of course, I know the fight will continue soon, we just need to get your brother back." He said, patting Kazan's shoulder.

 

"Your gratitude fills my heart with tremendous glee Will, I hope my brother has not fallen. But if we shall combine swords, and meet steel with steel, I'm sure no enemy shall stand before our might", Kazan said confidentley

It was times like these that filled Kazan with tremenedous spunk and a willingness to fight.

"Come, let us search now for the rest of the Imperials Will, for my brother is waiting, and I fear his waiting might end" Kazan and Will set off side by side to search for the rest of the imperials. Kazan had a hunch of where a majority of them may be, and set off for the local tavern

 

When they reached the tavern Will heard the other imperials voices. "As usual." He said, rolling his eyes. "Kazan, why do they come here so much?"

 

Kate stood up and walked to the edge.

"Kate please, go and check out what's wrong." Her father said and headed inside. Kate watched him eaving limping on his cane. She closed her eyes as wind blew and a bunch of cherry blossum petals blew around her and made her disappear. She reappeared in town. She walked the village. She found everything normal. She over heard something then.

"Oh no, father, he's in trouble." She said then quickly ran home. She went inside her home seeing her father having a glass of tea. She walked over and outside again. She headed to a ruin in her backyard. She walked in and looked at the wall. Everyone of her family members names were listed. She knelt down seeing hers.

 

Enkidu and the rest of the regiment were all resting at the bottom of the mountaines.Most of the rookies and some of the regulars looked half dead,but Gilgamesh looked like he could go again.Enkidu, suprisingly,was still standing."Good job recruit,you will go far here!"Gilgamesh said,slapping his back which sent Enkidu sprawling onto the ground.

 

Alex had been knocked onto the floor after Art sprand upwards,he lay on the floor near the window...listening in...wondering.....the only thing he could do was wait for someone to break the silence.He saw his staff along the wall,he reached out his hand,slowly so nobody noticed.He fingered the bottom of the staff,which fell over and made a pinging noise as it landed near his face.

Alia walked out of the throne room,"Yes,my lord,we have one day,understood." She walked aout and slumped against the wall,she yawned it had been around an hour or two.She began to look around for Alex,who was nowhere to be seen."Oh yeah..." She ran to Art's room,she heard an unfamiliar voice say,"Hello poppet." and soon after a ping,which she recognized straight away.She stood and waited.

 

Alex through his staff at the floor straight after hefelt and saw Art fall,she fell backwards and landed on the staff,which she then tripped on,landing on the bed. Alex stood up and took his staff,"You okay Art?I guess you had a bad dream."

Alia was sure she'd heard that voice,it couldn't have just beena dr....dre..a...she fell asleep near the door.

 

"Art?Who's back.....I don't know who you mean." He sat next to her on the bed,"Is there something I should be knowing right now?"

 

Alex was shocked,"So he's the father....I see it now....I knew Erin wouldn't leave when you were ill." Tears started rollind down Alex's face,"And...you think...or know,that he's back....now..." He clenched his fists,"Art....was it...was it intentional?"
