"Yippie. Forums. Lots of 'Dood your such a NOOB' and other annoyances." Gerik muttered. He laughed a little as he thought of an answer for Hotaru's question. "You were never good at psychoanalyzing people, were you? Isn't it obvious? Forums are hot spots for innocent civilians. Member numbers range from the hundreds to the tens of thousands. With numbers like that, our search for the hacker would be like looking for a needle in a cyberstack. If we can't find the hacker, then the hacker is free to do whatever he or she wants. Numbers like those.... There would be no end to the hacker's guinea pigs. Do we have specifics on the forums the hacker looked up? Did he or she look for large forums? Or relatively small ones?"

    >I know it is 'a needle in a haystack', but since this is more of a digital world, figured the saying would change with the time.<

Hotaru gestured to the windows "This is the list of them. Whoever it was, they only searched five places." she said "Myspace [which got it's forum two years prior to the time of this RP], Kingdom Hearts Planet, Writers Haven, 911Tabs Forum, and the official forum for HOSA students." she shook her head "If your assumption is right, then their top targets would be Kingdom Hearts Planet and Myspace." she said as she lowered the other three and KHP and Myspace got a bit bigger "But we have people posted with under cover accounts all over Myspace after it was such a hot spot for cyber harassment. You would think if any strange activity came up then we would have been informed of it by now."

"Which is exactly why MySpace wouldn't be it. MySpace is too obvious a target. Kingdom Hearts.... Well it isn't exactly a game that is popular among hackers. Let's go. We need to get there before any serious damage occurs. Wouldn't want to overwork you, now would we?" Gerik opened up a URL and started typing the web address.

Hotaru shrugged "Overwork me? Hah, as if. I'd just as soon rather get out of here before the General decides he needs to tell us what we already know. He can get so fussy." she said as he finished typing the URL and a door of sorts, looking more like just a plate of glass sliding up through the floor until it was just a bit taller than Hotaru. Hotaru could see the intruduction halls of KHP on the other side of the glass but if you were to look at it from sideways or backward all you would see would be two people staring at a plate of glass.

Unfourtanetly for Zain, his rp excursion was interupted before it started. His overhead beeped, and informed him of a large and nasty virus near by. After a few minutes he said, "Ah to hell with it. I'm not letting some nooby hacker get into my turf."

When he arrived, he saw one avy trying to strike a heroic pose, and failing badly at it, a weird looking bear thing with a ball on its head, and the virus. "Looks like fun for me. Entering combat mode." His overhead beeped in acknowledgment, and his guns appeared in his holsters. He pulled them out in the blink of an eye. His mission objectives appeared in the top left corner of his vision, and his enemies health appeared in the top right corner. He disregarded these, and fired.

A small notice popped up on one of Tervin's screens. "Hm? Somebody is fightning my virus? Well then lets take a look, see if he's any threat." Tervin began rapidly typing on his keyboard and in a moment another screen appeared with the info on the attacker. "Not a mod or admin, but to be able to make the virus register it was even hit... you must be a hacker yourself. Interesting. Seems he doesn't like that I've chosen this place as my testing grounds. Well perhaps I should show him what my virus is capable of." Tervin closed the screen and typed up commands to take direct contol of one of the virus monsters.

The virus that was hit stopped and quickly ran over to a building, the title 'Rate the last movie you saw' shining brightly. The virus roared and punched the building. At first nothing happened. Then from the virus' fist, black lines began to spread. More and more until the entire building was covered in black. The virus pulled back its hand and the building began to vanish. From the top-down, it was reverting to code and vanishing. Once it was gone the people inside were revealed. They looked confused at what had happened until one noticed the virus and screamrd. They all began running, screaming for thier lives.

Tervin returned the virus to its own control before rapidly typing up on his main screen. "Now let's have some real fun." Four more virus' formed, bringing thier number to seven. They all stopped for a moment, recieving thier orders. As soon as they had they began rushing around destroying buildings and attacking the users that were panicing.

"My god. This annoying little. Computer, acknowledge." "Ready." "Run trace route and burn the i.p. on those viruses." "... I.P. protected." "Damn firewalls. Form C." His body rippled for a second, then changed. His weapons now had blades on them, and he was glowing blue. "Hacker data 233. Firing." He sent out two pulses, which instantly coded two viruses. All the 1's and 0's on the virus changed to just 0's, and it vanished. "Deleted." He took a step, and vanished, reappearing on another virus. "Impact." He stabbed down, and ripped its head open. He jumped off as it to became nothing but zeroes and vanished. "Firewall penetrated." "Good." He brought up a screen, and began loading viruses of his own. Soon Tervins area was filled with dancing Pikachu's, Bulbasaurs, and one Charizard. Files began slowing down as the viruses started taking up his cpu. The viruses also slowed to a crawl. "Upload complete." His computer said smugly.

"Bloody hell! Stupid, stupid, viruses!" The moogle shouted, one of the creatures chasing after it. The pom-pom on it's head quivered as another 'spell' was charged up, and then unleashed upon the creature just as they were entering the old old threads in the area. "Now, if I'm right. . there should be a deleted thread. . ." The moogle muttered before it noticed a greenish tile in the ground. "HERE!" She shouted, for the moogle had turned into it's form B. The thread was undeleted, summoning a building with her still standing on it - which then caused the virus to crash considering the thread was now in the way. From above, she shouted, "Hammerspace.exe, activate!" and summoned her ever-legendary BanHammer, then jumped off the building. The hammer impacted upon the virus's head causing it to explode in a flash of white. The girl sighed as bits of data began whirling around her. "Okay, okay, this is REALLY pissing me off. Run defense grid. Activate megapurge.exe. And now, to notify the authorities." She muttered, a platform forming onto her. In the gap between the platform and the ground, a wave extended outwards, soft-deleting all the threads (so they can all be brought back later on) and booting out all civilian-type users. From her hovering platform, she could see two things: 1. the other three viruses, 2. a User fighting them. Just as she sent a message out to the netpolice, she muttered, "The hell? What is a member still doing here?"

Blinking, Charon noticed the other two fighting. The fact that the two of them could change form said something about each. One was that the Carebear reject was a mod or admin, seeing as how it wielded a hammer that he only assumed was a forum ban hammer. The other one -who had randomly popped in- had changed his form in a split second and began firing on the creatures -- the virus' as he now took them for. The second one was more likely a hacker with his flash attacks and the style he used. Mainly because instead of banishing the virus as the other had, he permanently deleted the coding, something that he doubted a mod could do without experience.

Leaning on his pole-arm, Charon shook his head - not noticing the virus' that were sneaking up behind him. Well, while these two are dealing with those things, I should high-tail it out of here. No way in hell that I'm going to fight and risk my alpha. Standing erect, Charon turned and came face to face with the remaining three virus'. "Oh snap..."

The first virus that was to his far right, crouched low and leaped at him. Slightly shocked he stepped back, only to catch his own foot and trip. Waving his hands out to sustain his balance ended up with him placing his spear-sword just so that the launched virus' body landed on it. While it didn't really kill the thing its processing seemed slowed.

The other two began to circle him, their forms flickering for some reason. They moved in a slow, contemplating rhythm. Seemingly analyzing his movements and what he would do next. "Get off of my weapon!" he shouted and kicked the wounded virus. The force of the kick barely got it off, and only a few steps away from his position. "Ma~n. I really don't like this." Wish I could get into my third form, but with a mod here (possibly two) I'm not about to risk that. Taking a deep breathe, Charon rose and tried to match the virus' path so that he could break from it. "Someone mind giving me a hand?"

"Of course." Gerik said, floating down from the sky, his sword in his hand. "You should evacuate this site immediately. We have gotten reports about hackers. Now is not a good time to be here." One of the viruses moved towards Gerik. He slashed at it, knocking it away. He looked up above him, at the building he was on when he first got to the site. "Hotaru better get here quick. The viruses are already here. Current estimated site damage.... 2%."

Letting his shoulders relax, Charon sighed audibly. "Thanks man. I appreciate it." Looking around he noted that the virus he had managed to wound was still crawling. Stepping forward he decided to play ignorant, "I would have, but these ... things ... well they surrounded me. I was in awe of those to mods over there fighting, and that gave them the advantage." With his left hand he pointed in the general direction of the two others, and with his right hand he twirled his pole-arm. Though he may not be the most supreme fighter, he could take out one, little, wounded virus.

Catching the haft of the staff, he aimed its spear-sword head at the creature and lunged, piercing its neck. He stopped half way, not wanting to sever the head should it have some sort of added programming that allowed it to regenerate from halves. Unlike the gun-blade wielder avatar, he couldn't just delete the virus' with a swift slice of his blade in this form. He doubted any of his forms could without re-programming. "Just what are these things?

"They're viruses. And new ones by the look of things. Like I said, a hacker is on the loose. Clearly he or she released these viruses into this forum. It isn't a safe place right now." Seven ghostly swords appeared around Gerik. A virus jumped at Gerik, but was blocked by the swords. Three of them had formed a wall, and the other four impaled the virus. The three that created a wall spread apart and floated near Gerik's back.

"Annoying pest!" Tervin slashed away the final pokemon with his sword. He had entered his B form to destroy the small things dancing around him. His appearance shimmered a moment before he was back in his C form. He quickly spent another minute erasing the virus that the hacker uploaded to him. "Such small time work won't stop me." Tervin checked how his viruses were fairing when he noticed Gerik on the screen. "So an admin has arrived. I guess one of those three sent an alert. My viruses are slowly being pushed back, some even destroyed. I guess thier defensive abilities need to be upgraded along with thier AI. Still, thier destructive power is good. I guess I'll just leave a few more presents before leaving." Tervin quickly spawned a few more viruses that immediately began destroying everything in sight. He then opened a shortcut behind him and headed back to his User CP. The screens and shortcut vanished behind him. His form shimmered once again and he was back in his A form. "Heh, this place is the perfect testing ground.

"Flame purge! Firewall maximum! Run Bluemage.exe! Initiate copy/Sever protocol!" The moogle shouted, incinerating two viruses that were in front of her (At the same time, copying some of the data and cutting it into several strands, so they couldn't become a virus again.). She noticed Gerik in the distance and noticed that his name (once checked) was red. A good sign for her, considering that red was the universal sign for admin. Her platform hovered over to the man.

"Finally~! You guys are quick! I cleared the area of threads and users, but looks like some still got through, eh? Anyways, if you want to study the virus data, I have made a copy of it. It's kinda weird. . . we haven't had a virus attack since the Raid of 2XXX!"

Zain stepped past Charon. "Noob, you need to learn a thing or to about fights." He casually brought his guns up while the viruses coiled themselves to leap at him. "Targeted. Firing." He said, squeezing both triggers just as the viruses leapt at him. Both were intercepted in mid air, froze, and were deleted. The other virus was wounded, so it was really a mercy to put it out of its misery. Zain walked over to it, jammed a gun into its face, and fired. It's head exploded, then it was deleted as well. "Targets deleted. Exiting combat mode." With that, his form changed back to his casual look. "And that's check mate." He turned back to Charon. "What possessed you to fight those?"

Arrogant attitude, changing forms in front of mods. Yeah, this guy is a hacker. "I wasn't fighting," he replied snidely, "I was trying to get a way. Things happened, and I ended up killing one." With a shrug of the shoulders he turned around to the others, "So what? All three of you are mods or admins here?"

"Well I'm not. Just enjoying myself. Allow me to clue you in Charon, these viruses are simple chaos makers. Someone uploads em to a site area, then they go berserk. Not very bright, though compared to most I've seen, these are geniuses. Well, they were." He looked around himself, checking out the destruction. "I'm a small time guy myself. Pokemon stuff is all i do. Annoying things that are easy to get rid of. I've never even thought of trying this before, and on such a big site. I mean, this is the top rp site. The government is not just gonna sit by and watch this, right?" Zain began going through his own info on the viruses. His computer automatically saved information on targets Zain's guns brought down. It was a pretty extensive library to. Also his hacker abilities let him see names of avy's over people's heads. Something he though saved time in conversations.

Mean while a little screen was bouncing around Tervins cp. It read, "Thank you for downloading Pokemon mayhem. This is the 2.4 release, and more will be included in the next release so stay tuned."
Zain had used one of his older versions that users could install for laughs. It did little harm to a computer unless users actually forgot about it. To ensure this didn't happen, the download instructions included information on how long the viruses could stay in a cp before the cp took damage. 24 hours was the limit.

Mars looked down from a nearby building, the spam lounge, and laughed with scorn. "Poor little bro. Guess that's all he can do." A screen with a dark face appeared in front of him. "Yes?" "You are assigned to the user Tervin. Aid him and his super virus." "Understood." The screen went blank. Mars stood. "Ok. Looks like you and I are on opposite sides of the playing board. What a great game." He opened a portal, and walked right into Tervins cp. The firewall tried to stop him, but didn't even manage to make a dent. "Nice fire wall. Amusing." Tervin was white. "Don't worry. I'm here to help your virus become the biggest thing on the net." Mars smiles.
