Just a thought, and i doubt this will be acted on cause i bet its hard, but would it be possible to give control of a thread, like deleting and modding posts, to a person who started said thread? That would save on asking mods to do things, and it would be very helpful to a person running a thread. Again, its just a thought.

It is, just for vet members, only closing though. The reason why only staff members have moderating power is we're entrusted to use our power maturely, where if we give it to members and they create a thread in say a debate or theory thread and somone posts against what they believe they could delete it, which isn't really fair because then that person can't state what they believe. Anotehr reason/ example is somone in say RP joins a RP and you don't like them, you're not supose to shut them down from a RP for that reason, but if a person can delete there post, then they could. That's another reason.

I believe though once your a vet member, I know you can close your own thread, and I think if you hit the edit button you can even delete your post, it might be for all members as well, but when we put in all those upgrades and stuff, and I when I was demoted for a while, I was a Vet, and I could do that.

Yeah, but it could take me a year to achieve vet status unless posts in spam city started to count in which case i could post a trillion times and get it, but then everyone would. Thats the issue with modding threads. Also you could put a rule in place were any member who abuses that power can have it taken away from them. Thats what i would do, generally when i make a forum its a democracy.
