okay people, let's get back on task and please no flaming, that's how you get banned but you already know that Sephiroth X Slasher. Every religion has something special about it and needs to be respected. I don't get why people bag on each other because of their religion, it's just stupid and low

My crap, hahahaha. Your the one who comes into a debate and makes a twat of himself.

If you wish to continue PM me.

Continuing, I support what MR is saying. Its fine to believe in something but if it contradicts itself that much you have to wonder...

    such vile language

I agree with pulse on the religion thing. Like in churches they talk about honesty and such but in some, they have a guarded room full of documents with the truth. That's pretty contradictory if you ask me

  5. . . . . .Okay, then.

blasphemy? I don't think so. ITS TRUTH! Thats why people can't handle it. BECAUSE THEIR MINDS ARE CLOSED LIKE YOURS SEPHIROTH. DON'T LIVE LIKE THAT!! U WON'T GET TO THE "TRUE" HEAVEN!!!! You need to be open to everything, even if it goes against your beliefs, because heaven forbid that you might be wrong.
Read the Bible, truly read what I posted, and try to under stand it before ridiculing something you don't even understand. PROOVE ME WRONG! I BEG YOU!

But we must retain the freedom to express our beliefs and debate/discuss about them.

RESPECT, AND KEEP AN OPEN MIND.
Thats what you need to "discuss" religion. ARGUMENTS ARE STARTED BY CLOSED MINDED PEOPLE! So, don't be closed minded...
I agree with you Fire Flame.

Thanks Pulse. I like the way you debate, I don't agre with ALL of your beliefs, but your at least OPEN MINDED. And I had a feeling an Athiest would hop on my band wagon with my last post on this thread.....haha.

why? We have our opinions, and we'll discus them. You can't close a thread just because you don't like it, or it isn't going your way.

  9. I believe that there are certain things in this world that are controlled by forces out of our reach. . .

And I believe we can learn about those forces through innner focus of teh soul and finding links in religous tales/mythology.

  11. but we already have forms of mythology, correct?

I'm not talking about"forms"? Ancient "myths" hold the key....links.

  13. Well, It's All Here Now Is it?. . .

But then, if that's what you mean then, you're a hypocrite. Because the Ancient Greeks and Romans and all the other Pagan Religions believed in Mythology. What you're saying is that we all should follow mythology. You yourself are not a religious person, but Mythology is a religion, and you are the biggest hypocrite.

Mythology is a religion...? Oh dear, Mythology is a traditional story accepted as history; serves to explain the world view of a people. How can someone believe in mythology and follow it as a religion? Mythology is an unsure recollection of history and I think MR is saying that we should reflect more on such things as a whole rather than follow just one concept of it.

Religion is a Myth, not Mythology is a religion.

Well, I don't believe any god or anything like that. I just live life. Though, my mom is a Wicken and my dad believes in karma. And if I'd have to choose, I'd probably say that vote goes with Karma, even though I love my mom and dislike my dad. I mean, think about it, life works kinda like that. Do good things and good things happen, do bad things and it'll come back to haunt you. That's what I learned from my favorite show. My Name is Earl. But, I still rely on not believing in anything.

  16. No Pulse. . .Mythology is a religion. It hasn't been practice since the fall of the Greek Empire. . . .

I believe you may be confused with Greek Mythology, which is myths taken from the Greek religion.

Stuff like Hercules, which the Ancient Greeks did believe but it is still a myth, like all religions.

  18. Oh okay then. . .then I guess I'm wrong then.

Oh, you've missed something BI Sephiroth. I'm VERY RELIGOUS, VERY! I have one of the best sense of God in the world, I kinda "revolve" teh way I live my life around my religous belief.....morals, but not in a creepy way.

lol, intersting. I agree that Myhtology isn't a religion, and religion is more of a myth.....but I'm in the belief that such "myths" should be held as high as religous books, like the Bible. The Roman myths, the Egyptian myths, the Persian myths, basically these are as closed to teh truth of these ancient religous that are so called "lost" as we've got. I respect ancient religions more than I do teh religoins of here and now. Thats what I'm saying, but I'm not saying teh old myths are "better", or should be held higher than the Bible, maybe more on par with.

I believe in karma heavy duty man. Not like a hippy, I hate hippies. But as the "truth", because the true "order" of teh world revolves around karma.

Idk, Greek mythology was more like religion, and I kinda agree Sephiroth, but I think its more like myths came before religion in the sense that what we consider "myth" now was really their "religion" back then, and it should hold some respect in religions of teh here and now.....

  20. But in mythology, there is one God that is absolute over the other Gods and goddesses right?
