Mysterious Enemy

First off, this thread is about the new secret boss in the english version of BBS. If you don't want to know anything about it (Although I'm just gonna comment about it), leave now.

Second off, I have not gotten to him yet. I was watching some videos of fighting him. And all I got to say is damn. From the looks of things, he looks to be the most difficult secret boss that has ever been in KH (Can't properly judge though, having been denied both Final Mixes).

Another cool thing is that when you beat him and Vanitas' Sentiment (The other secret boss), you get a keyblade from each. And they both look awesome.

 

he is the strongest boss in KH history. people who could beat KH2FM sephiroth with ease got their @$$es handed to them bythis character.

i have no idea who he is. he fights like an over-powered Xemnas, especially with those weapons. but Xemnas doesn't exist at that time so unless there's time-travel involved that guy is completely new

 

Which of course leads to theories I briefly read in the comment section for the videos.

This boss has some time travel attack or something. Some people believe KH 3D has something to do with time travel, since Sora and Riku look younger but appear to be traveling together or something. And so they hope that this boss appears in KH 3D.

I have not heard any theories about him myself,but the game hasnt been out too long,moreso with this boss in it.Possbily connected to 3D,who knows.

Maybe Xehanort has taken over previous bodies,and like Terra one managed to have what he was wearing (in this case what basically is an Organization cloak),though that one failed,possibly fleeing from battle to try again one day?Might also explain how Xemnas got his blades:He had them from a previous body.

That was made up in 5 minutes and I doubt it,just somethin to share.

Also,that interface screw must suck.

good god. if it wasn't for dodge invincability this guy would literally be impossible

 

I know from watching another video that Protect can stop the X wave attack,but otherwise dodgeing seems to be your only savior in this battle.

 

yeah but i aslo know from watching another guy that if you block and counter, he counters back twice as hard.

 

That counter never seems to work from what Ive seen.trap maybe?

 

When I first saw the Mysterious Figure I thought to myself "Oh good God." By the looks of it, he is the greatest being in Kh history.

 

phewy....glad i only go after the secret enemies when i think i can actually beat them......this guys impossible unless you constantly roll XD even then it takes like 10 minutes to kill em

 

Huh... I'm glad I'm not the only person just a tad nervous by the strength of this mysterious figure. In a nutshell, I pretty much gave up on any thoughts of beating him on critical, the difficulty I'm playing on, after watching this neat little Youtube video.

I think TVTropes puts the fight best for atleast how the characters see it

Big Lipped Alligator Moment: The fight with Mysterious Figure in the US version. He shows up, you fight him, then he leaves. No dialogue, no explanation, no mentioning of it ever again. At least you get a cool Keyblade.

You know,he just may be there for absoulutly no reason.The one from KH FM was just alittle forshadowing of the Organization.FM+,Terra's fate,though we were told it had nothing to do with BBS.Lies.

While this fight might have a reason,at the same time this one might actually just be there for no reason just to make us think there is a reason.

...maybe its Starkiller.

 

Theory of mine is like lots of other theories. Boss has time travel attack (I know, I've seen it), so perhaps this boss is from the future, and (hopefully) connected to KH3D

 

Uh-oh! A villain that actively time-travels? SE, that's a plothole waiting to happen...

 

It can work but we just gotta hope SE keep from doing complicated timelines. If they do that, they've lost.

 

You know they will try something complicated - just look at FFVII. I still, for the life of me, cannot figure out Sephiroth's intent throughout the entire game..

 

Becoming a god. His means change, but his end stays the same.

Anyways, to stay on topic.... I was reading the page for this boss on the KH Wikia. And on the page, they say that Nomura says that this boss fight is Canon. So that increases the odds of the boss having some connection to a next game. Which, in retrospect, is obvious. Unknown from KH1 FM was Xemnas, Lingering Sentiment from KH2 FM+ was Terra's armor. So the next big game will involve this Mysterious Enemy.

 

Since we're talking time travel here, let me throw in my two cents. Robotic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future? ...yeah, didn't think so.

In all seriousness, I'm hoping that when SE comes out with KH:BBS Final Mix (because you know how they LOVE to screw over the foreign fans), they add some sort of storyline to this event.

 

There may not be a Final Mix version of this you know.358/2 has yet to get one.

We can consider four of the games to have gotten.getting a final mix version.KH and KH II were called final mix and final mix+,CoM had reCoM,which we actually got,and Coded is getting reCoded,which we are also getting.

If they do make a BBS final mix,I think we might actually be able to tell how we get it.If its final mix,we are screwed.If its re,we probably are going to get it!

On the mysterious enemy.Maybe he is an ally in a future game?After all,if he can travel through time,maybe he was trying to see if he could change something to make things better.Or if an enemy,then the opposite.either way not much changed,unless he felt that them beating him ment they might have made themselves stronger to where they could make things better,or that he couldnt change anything in the past.

Hell,he might not be from the future,but from the past instead!People are interested in the keyblade wars afterall,which I believe is now canon on being what caused the worlds to split?
