So, I've always been a fan of show tunes (comes from having a background in dance), but I'd never had the opportunity to see a real musical. But recently I've had the chance to see "Wicked" and I loved it, and I've got tickets to see "Les Miserables" coming up soonish. So I was wondering if anyone else enjoyed Broadway musicals, which you've seen, and what you thought of them.

When i was in high school, i attended every musical and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. However because i wasnt in the same year as my sister for chior, i couldnt attend the trip to see Wicked. That actually flew over my head when it was really popular.

Old thread is old, but whatever, I have more musicals to ramble about.

That's too bad. I thoroughly enjoyed Wicked, though I can't say I have much desire to see it again. Maybe if the tickets weren't so expensive. *shrugs*

Of course, it's been ages since I was in high school, but I honestly can't remember my school's drama program ever putting on anything really attention-grabbing. I don't know that I ever attended a show. o_O

I've seen a few more shows over the last year- Chicago, Flashdance, and Beauty and the Beast. I would recommend all three. And I'm super psyched because Phantom of the Opera is coming to a theater near me within the next year, and that's one I've always wanted to see.

I, more recently, worked on a production of Young Frankenstein; the more so supporting actors definitely stole the show on that one, especially our Igor. It was definitely a breath of fresh air to my university's usual approach to the shows. They really went with a more lighthearted or otherwise heartwarming selection of production this time around, as opposed to the darker/more serious tones I had become more accustomed to.

For me background musis plays a vital role in order to make either games or the movie enjoyable. Without it one can not make fun, having proper music in the game is like making game with more action.
