Jak Echo

Jak realized he was trapped. He didnt give a real crap. When that girl tried to get over the fence, and some voodoo crap made her fail, he really didnt care. It wasnt until he heard that there was a major chance they would die. "Trust No one." His mind told him. But, he could trust Poppy... Right? I mean, theve been friends for years, its not like she will magically be a werewolf and eat him alive... Right? He would still be friends with her, but he would need to keep his ground. But he made a vow. If he got, turned into a vampire or something, he would kill himself before he killed anyone else. Then the rumor started that one of them was a vampire. Jak became worried, he might have to follow that vow.

 

Poppy hid in the shadows. In the darkest corner. 'No one will find me. No one will find me!' She kept shakingly telling herself. Trust no one. I mean come on. I just gotta hang in here until morning. Just until morning. Or sneak out. Just stay low and dont leave this spot. But, even that couldnt calm her. Poppy just closed her eyes and took deep breaths to calm herself.

 

A girl walked around the carnival looking around every little corner. She has already tried escaping several times. She quickly ran behind a tent her breathing was heavy. She was afraid none the less.

'I can't be found, I'm stuck in a living hell...' She thought to herself. 'I need to get out of here...' She thought to herself.

She walked around the tent watching every corner when she saw a girl sitting in the corner. She quickly took off running then afraid of who the person was.

 

Poppy stood up after seeing the girl. "So, im not the only one stuck here." She whispered under her breath. Poppy walked out in the open. Poppy spotted Jak and went to him. "Oh wow, you too?" Poppy said kind of jokingly to try and calm the tense setting.

 

Jak was relieved to see Poppy. "Yeah, I know. Good to see you're safe... You aren't the uh... Vampire, are you? Uh, sorry. Ofcourse not." He stuttered minorly.

 

Poppy just smiled and hugged him. "Im just glad your ok. And if this place does disappear, I know that we'd disappear together." Poppy smiled. "But, I need your help, come help me get this branch out? I think it could lead to a way out." Poppy walked to the fence and waited for Jak.

 

"No problem Pops." He said, helping her move the branch. The way looked dangerous, but it couldnt be worse then the rest of the park. "Ill go first." He said, grabbing his hunting knife.

They walked for a few minutes and came out right back where they started. "Guess not. Sorry Poppy." He said. He stepped to the side. She strided ahead of him, and he followed closely behind, but never getting next to, or ahead of her. His hunting knife was back in it's sheath, his eyes looking dead ahead. He was prepared for anything.

 

Will heard the gates lock behind him and he turned, eyes flashing over the tall gate. "What the hell?" He breathed, standing and walking towards the gate, rattling it a bit. When it didn't open he just laughed. "All I have to do is climb the gate, It'll be fine." He muttered, going to a place he could climb. But just as his feet hit the dirt he realized he was in the very center of the carnival. "Ok, what the hell is going on?" He growled, looking around to see if anyone else may be here with him.

 

Jak noticed Will. He whispered something in Poppy's ear and called to him. "Stuck in here just like us? C'mon. We need to stick together." He bekoned him to come over with them.

 

Will looked at the boy and strode forward, drawing a combat knife from his belt. The feel of the knife in his hand reminded him of what he ran away from, reminded him of military school. He shuddered a touch but continued. "What is going on here and who are you two?" He growled, looking between the boy and the girl.

 

He noticed the knife in his hand. "Im Jak, and this is Poppy. We are trapped inside of here, and there is a vampire running around killing us off. If you stick with us, theres a smaller chance that we all die. We are going to go this way. If you want to come, go ahead. If not, then... Dont go in any buildings." Jak said, starting to walk down a dark path.

 

Poppy looked at the boy with a confused look. She laughed. "Don't worry I'm harmless." Poppy smiled and followed Jak down the path. "That guy was kinda creepy." Poppy whispered softly to Jak by his side. "I mean he comes up with a freaking knife like, really?"

 

The girl kept running when she suddenly ran into a person her age. She jumped up quickly and stepped back especially seeing the knife.

"Please don't kill me!" she screamed panic pulsed through her body and she quickly got ready to run off again when she saw the girl she saw before and some other guy.

 

Poppy stopped and shot a gaze back, hearing the screaming. Poppy didnt recognize the girl at first but then realized it was that jumpy one she encountered moments ago. Poppy shook her head and stood closer to Jak.

 

The two of them kept walking into the darkness. "Follow us if you want, we are going to find the exit." He said to the two behind them. He put his arm around Poppy, trying to comfort her. "We will get out of here, with or without them. I promise."

 

Will put the knife away, realizing they meant no harm as of right now. "Sorry about the whole knife thing, just had bad experiences with people. So we're going where?" He asked, following them into the dark. "Hey, you didn't answer me, how do you know what all is going on? What do you mean a vampire?" He growled, keeping his hand on his knife as he followed them.

 

The three of them walked for a bit, Will close behind him and Poppy. Suddenly, Will screamed. A second later, the two of them were staring at the dead body of Will. He could tell Poppy was scared. Jak just kept staring at the body. He wiped sweat from his face, he was worried. What if whatever killed him, came after them next. "No point in burying whats left of him." Sure enough, the body looked bitten up pretty badly. He could just imagine that in Will's place, Jak and Poppy would be the ones in a puddle of blood. They turned from the body and kept walking. Jak didnt know Will all that well, but he felt bad.

OOC: Hey Curtis, I(and maybe Kairi) promise to find the person that killed ya alright? Imma gonna find the Vampire!!!..... I hope. :/

 

Poppy stood there frozen before Jak had pulled her away. "Wh-What was that?" Poppy whispered as if her breath was being taken away. Poppys skin was white, because she had been frightened. She stood close to Jak holding his arm, cuz now, she didnt have a clue on what the hell is going on.
