A dark Hallow's eve, in a moonlit dreary
leaves and twig fragments dance around eerily
At darkest night hours, I creep through the halls
something I heard, seemingly nothing at all

I resume to my work as I ignore my suspicion
yet I hear the sound again throughout my dark kitchen
I rush to the center of the room to find
    something queer to my surprise

A piece of black paper rolled up like a scroll
what I saw inside was a tale to be told
Once upon a time, the paper first read
but this was all that the paper had said

I ponder and ponder and come to halt
another noise that I heard, I feel I'm being stalked
I dash from room to room, with a confused look of dread
a scary paranoia has befallen my head

I find a seat at my nearest convenience
this whole situation is nothing short of inconvenient
I hear noise again, but the echo draws closer
it's gets closer, closer, and closer

I jump from my seat with a thick heavy sweat
and I've soon to realize something yet
The scroll that I found, what I thought was a prank
but I'm telling the story, I'm filling in the blanks

I do what I can to escape this wretched sound
but I cannot elude, it begins to surround
I cover my ears with all of my might
I'm scared, too frightened, too coward to fight

My window breaks open from a strong, mighty gale
knocks me off my feet but soon it curtails
I regain my composure and run to the door
it's locked, there's seems no hope anymore

I sprint to my stairs and I find the black paper
still the same sentence, who or what is this caper?
The noise, now a voice, says to look to my wall
I turn around swiftly to find a women in thrall

I cried, she was dead, sripped naked to the bone
screaming with fear, I reach for my phone
my fear and trembling made it hard to call
help, please any help at all

The voice with a grim and goulish long laugh
feeling the sense of death, and hearing a thunderous clash
Feeling reminiscent of Edgar Allen Poe
with the wind whipping violently through my window

I cry, cry with a blood curdling howl
I have no more options, what can I do now?
I clench the black paper that started this night
with no hope of survival in future's sight

I tell death to take me, my time has certainly come
the voice says "wait, I'm not yet done"
The voice stops all the comotion and fear
a whispers a message into my ear

"Take what happened this very night
and turn it into a tale of fright.
You felt the fear and witnessed true terror
it'll make the story that much better"

I paused for a second with a perplexing expression
but also feeling a relieving sensation
I ask the voice " But why, why choose me?"
He responded with "Because this is your story."

Happy Halloween everyone. And let it be...a happy Halloween.

Of course, expect a lot more from me. ^^

I was actually going for that sort of feel, with the paranoia of the victim.
