Arena Alpha

First, the terrain.

Behold, a void. But wait?

The Terrain changes before your very eyes.

Now it is a grassy field, about 40 yards across, and 35 yards wide. Mountains surround the field on all sides, but little rock litter exists in it. Indeed, there are only pebbles, and the grass is short. The occasional wild flower dots the field.


Mean time, Hrist and Vincent are plucked from the rp's they are in. A note is left were they were standing, stating that they have been chosen for the rp arenas first fight. Truly an honor.

Both appear in the field. They look around, trying to figure out whats going on. A man in armor appears in the center of the field.

"Let us out of here!" Vincent yells.

"No. You have both been selected to fight in the rp arena. Only when a victor has been decided will you leave the arena. Now, prepare yourselves. LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"

A disembodied crowd begins to cheer. "Thats right! Its time for the fight! Combatants ready? FIGHT!"

Both are still unsure of whats going on, so the first attack is up for grabs.

Hrist started to smile as she saw the boy. "This is lovely. I get to compete in a tournament & my first person to become my slave is that of a little boy. HA! This shall be amusing to my soul." Hrist then took out her sword & was ready to go into her battle stance. "Bow down to me & become my einherjar!" Hrist then raised her hands towards Vincent. "GLACIAL BLIZZARD!!" Spikes of ice came forth from her hands, going straight towards him...

 

Vincent hardly had time to react as the spikes emerged and flew at them; he had only just pulled out his four orbs* when one such spike nicked his shoulder - not enough to cause severe damage, but it still hurt like a mother. Quickly, he did the first thing he could think of - combining the water and wind orbs to make fog and LOTS of it. Using the fog cover, he thrust the earth orb into the ground and pulled up a semicircular shield over where he was - obscuring him from view.

"D-damnit. . . how am I supposed to fight this woman? And why is she talking about a jar? . ." He mumbled as he combined the flame and earth orbs and thrust it into the ground. . .

"You fool." Hrist then grew wings on her back & flew up in the air to get a better view. "Thunder storm." Hrist raised up her sword in the air & the sky started to thunder. Lighting striked her sword & she pointed it down at the fog, making the fog disappear. "Poor boy. So young, yet a power that I shall claim as mine!"

 

By the time she had cleared out the fog, the earthy shell had doubled in size (Still obscuring him from view), glowing red hot as the combined orbs made lava. Vincent had dug himself deeper into the ground, putting an icy barrier to protect himself from the heat. He breathed a sigh of relief as he rested for a brief moment to treat his cut from earlier. He plotted, "Well, I SHOULD be safe for the time being. . . the lava above me will prove to be a surprise when she finds out what's in the dome. Now. . . If I combine these two orbs, then that'll make. . ."

 

Hrist then started to smile. "I see... I wonder why he did something so unusual." Hrist then smiled as she raised up her hand. "Reflect Sorcery!" A barrier started to surround her & she then dashed straight for Vincent. "EXPLOSION!!" A big ball of fire came from her hands, going straight down for the lava, making it explode like a volcano & made a lot of black smoke come up while lava was slowly was going towards Vincent's shield. Hrist was smiling as the smoke was surrounding her...

 

The shield broke as cool mud gushed forth, turning the lava to rock. The muddy figure of Vincent, who couldn't see anything due to the smoke and his face being covered, then spun around quickly; First, he sprayed mud, then sand, and finally sent forth flame to turn the sand into glass. Once he was finished, the Mage doused himself with water so he could finally see. He breathed a sigh of relief, thinking the battle was over. Little did he know how strong Hrist was.

 

Hrist started to cackle real loud as she started to fly down fast from the sky. "BOLT SLASH!!!" Hrist started to fly down real fast, appearing out of the sky & coming down indirectly behind Vincent, making him flying into the air while sending rocks up with him. "Silly human. You should not let your guard down. You is too fragile. Surrender yourself to me!"

 

"Gah- What the heck are you?" Vincent asked moments before he was hit. He recovered in midair, but the wind was knocked out of him as he tried to retaliate - but before he could, his body hit the ground. The mage boy barely managed to pull a rock shield out of the ground to cover him before he fell back, panting. He only had a few tricks left. . .

 

"...up while lava was slowly was going ..." Sentence doesn't make sense. Summoner brandon is docked 1 point. He now has 9 points.

"...The muddy figure of Vincent, who couldn't see anything due to the (smoke and) his face being covered..." A comma should be here. Sentence doesn't make sense, Moogle is docked 1 point . He now has 9 points.

"You is too fragile" No points will be docked for this, as it was in a quotes. For all i know, it could be the way hrist speaks. If it isn't, try to refrain from doing this. It should read, "You are to fragile

"...but the wind was knocked out of him(.) As he tried to retaliate( , )but..." Multiple issues with this sentence. The way the first part was set up made it a run on sentence. This makes the most sense. It should be comma's before but's, not -'s. I dunno were you got that from. Moogle is docked 2 points. He now has 7 points.

 

Hrist started to smile as she looked at Vincent barely surviving. "If this is the best effort that you can bring forth, then I shall annihilate you swiftly." Hrist started to glow as she was ready to attack. "I shall bring you with me to Valhalla! DIVINE ASSAULT!" The whole area started to turn purple as she ran towards Vincent & smacked his shield with his sword four times & lifted him in his rock shield up into the air. Hrist then made a golden spear appear in her other hand...

 

At that point Vincent did the most desparate thing he could. Gathering whatever focus and energy he could muster, he combined all four glass orbs. The new orb was a bright, polished silver, but did not reflect anything. Aiming as well as he could, he turned to face Hrist (With difficulty, seeing as he just got hit again and was in midair); With one hand, he fired the orb's energy, Ether, at the Valkrie. The blast only ensued for a mere moment, but it would do moderate damage. That is, if he had hit her.

 

Hrist cackled as the blast reflected back at Vincent & shattered his rock shield. "YOU FOOL! My Reflect Sorcery reflect any magic back at the user of that spell! Don't you remember me saying that spell a few minutes ago?" the smoke cleared away with her still unscathed & the reflect spell glowing green & fading away. "It shall be engraved in your soul! NIBELUNG VALESTI!" Hrist with the gold spear in her hand started to be in a gold flame & she threw it straight at Vincent & it was glowing brighter as it was getting closer, getting ready to smack Vincent real hard...

 

. . . And ran Vincent straight through. He fell to the ground, not only exhausted but badly wounded as well. As he lay there, his vision was going blurry. . .

Suddenly, the man in armor appeared next to Hrist. He pulled a card from his bag, and canceled all of Hrist's abilities. He then picked her up like a doll, and threw her across the field. After he was sure Hrist would not interrupt him, he healed Vincent to full health. "That is all. The battle is decided, and no deaths are required to achieve a victory."

"The winner of this fight is Hrist. Thank you all for participating. More battles are to follow. As this is a free classed match, no points are gained and lost."

*As for you writers, here are your scores.
First, i spotted some more errors. I will explain and dock points. Thats right, even if the fight is over you the winner can still lose if he lots all his/her points. In that case, the guy who lost would be the only one left so he would win. Now,

"Hrist started to glow (because) she was ready to attack." As made this harder to read, so you might risk losing some info here. Also this could be a god mod as you did not charge the attack. This way, it makes it seem like she took a moment to charge up her move. Yes, if you instantly use a super move like that it could be a god mod since you give you enemy no chances of dodging or canceling the move. Since the attack, however, could have been stopped if Moogle had payed attention to the earlier posts that would would it will not be considered a god mod. If it was, i would dock 2 points from it since it was only miner. Summonerbrandon is docked 1 point. You're at 8 points. Props for the viking reference. =D

Now i know it might not seem like it Moogle, but technically this is a list. Different parts of the list should be separated by comma's. Moogle is docked 1 point, and now has 6 points.

It does the same job, believe it or not.

WAAAAAA! The dreaded & marks!. Be careful when you use these, because the same rules still apply if you just simply spelled out. You missed 4, yes thats right, 4 comma's. Also that underlined one should be ",and beginning to fade away."
Summoner man, i hate to say it, but you lose 4 points in this post.

So the final point totals are Moogle 6/10, and Summonerbrandon 4/10. In those terms, Moogle wins. How-ever, the character victory goes to Hrist. Thank you for being my test dummies =D. Jk, hope you had fun.*

With that, the judge sends everyone away until the next round.

So lets get this next fight underway. Now,

The arena vanishes, to be replaced by a large sea. Dotting the area is a large amount of wreckage from a wooden ship. Two very small islands, no more than just a bit of sand, are on opposite sides of the field. The chunks of wood are strong enough to hold both fighters, but since this is the sea to much movement could topple them into the water. Sharks swim around, searching for an easy meal.

Both fighters appear on seperate islands.
"Fighters ready?
FIGHT!"

 

Reo stepped into the area. As he looked upon his opponent he smiled. He did a quick stretch and spoke to his opponent. "You know . . . I like you. You look like fun. But umm, I don't hold back." The wind began to swirl around him in a sort of shield. He proclaimed in loud voice and charged at his opponent, "Can you follow the wind?! Cuz' if you can't, you're DONE!"

 

Zane hopped out of the stands taking the place of the original opponent. He had failed to show up, so zane had been called in to fight instead. He unsheathed his laser weapon and studied the air surrounding his opponent. The air whipped in sync with his movements, completley under control.

A smirk formed on zane's face as he finished his analysis. Zane disappeared in a flash and reappeared behind his opponent slashing under his left arm, toward his right shoulder.

 

"Ugh! All right ,get some then!" Reo pivoted his right foot and got some more leverage. From right there he immediately did an axe kick to the center of his opponents head for a strong blow. "Hurricane Uppercut!" he shouted as he dipped under his opponent and smashed a strong right fist into his opponent. Damn . . . he's fast. Almost as fast as me . . . almost.

 

Zane jumped backwards flinching in pain. his head began to ache from the two blows he just took. (damn...this boy has some fierce strength on his side...but it's not enough...at least not yet), zane thought to himself as he steadied himself.

Zane counter-attacked by disappearing and reappearing behind his opponent again. He slashed at his legs then disappeared reappearing in mid-air. He was directly northeast of his opponent spouting an incantation. " Frozen daggers rested in eternal slumber, become thy slave. Seek out thy opponent with deadly force and strike!, Ice Coffin!". The water surrounding the small isles began to freeze over, it turned a solid layer of ice. Ice needles the size of full-grown trees began converging on Zane's opponent.

 

Reonarudo's skin almost began to burn with pain. The ice was spreading quickly around his body. Gotta think of something fast. I need more! Then he looked at the environment around him and he came up with the solution. Since we're in a tropical area the pressure should be enough for . . . yes, perfect.

As the ice began to move onto his knees, Reo began to make fast, powerful movements with his hands, causing the wind to move violently. He looked up at his opponent and scowled. I'm not done yet! he thought in his head as he made a small F1 tornado that surrounded him causing the ice to break off of him and melt away. "The more you want the more you get!!!" He used an updraft after the wind disappeared and unleashed a flurry of back-spinning roundhouse kicks.

After that was done he pulled back his hands to side and pushed out with knife-hand strikes. "Since you like cutting people so much, maybe you'll like this! Wind Scythe!" The air moved in thin, fast, bursts that swirled at his opponent cutting at his arms. "Ugh! . . . . my legs . . . damn." I need to stop being so reckless!

He moved his hand over his chest and clenched his fist. Fast air violently moved all around him. This should stop him from sending those ice needles at me . . . for the time being. I need to end this soon.
