    No one... Is perfect...

  2. In all aspects, we cannot be perfect, militarly, politically, economically, socially, religiously, intellectually, and culturally.

Thats an opinion again, its nearly impossible to be perfect but my belief (an opinion once again) is that it is not impossible. The Christians believe that Mary was perfect, why cant others believe this?

Then the christians are wrong. It is a fact that no one can be perfect. One can achieve the status of not being completely corrupted, but one cannot achieve the status of perfection.

  5. However, do we know for a fact that Mary was a real person? I have yet to see a single piece of Forensic evidence that proves she or for any fact that any of the Christian Bible characters are real?

Actually, it has been proven that the people from the bible existed, but not proven they were in anyway reated to god.

And Sovieto, once again that is once again your opinion. Nothing is impossible as stated by Mike in the religion thread. A lot is improbable but not impossible.

  7. . . . . . . . . . . . .Yes, Mike did say that.

Just a small correction: Mary is not seen as flawless in (most) Christian religions...it is only the Catholic religion (and similar ones, like I believe Orthodox religions) in which she is regarded as "Blessed Mary Ever Virgin" had an Immaculate Conception, etc. Most Christians dislike Mary due to petty squabbles with Catholics (which seems like silly reasoning to me).

I think you're both right...Pulse and Sovieto. Pulse is merely saying that though we are not perfect, we could (and should!) strive for perfection. This provides both, a satisfying and full life.

Sovieto perhaps believes the same thing...he merely believes it cannot be attained. That is, try as you might, Pobody's Nerfect.

  9. . . . . . . . . . .Yes, no one is perfect, at least not at this point.

I happened to be reading for the last pages, and I think I can attempt to explain what Pulse meant. If the dictator of that country indoctrinated every child at birth (basically what Hitler did), then technically yes, it could be so nobody ever fights with eachother in that country.

  11. So in a sense, that would bring "peace" if that's what you're saying.

Just by being so 'improbable' it makes it impossible.

  13. Avalantos

    Avalantos Mr. Detective

    Simply, no.

Improbable: not likely to be true or to occur or to have occurred; "legislation on the question is highly unlikely"; "an improbable event"

Impossible: not capable of occurring or being accomplished or dealt with; "an impossible dream"; "an impossible situation"

    See the difference?

Yes, i can see the difference. But really, how can someone achieve the status of perfection? I beleive nobody has and nobody will.

    Avalantos Mr. Detective

This is not a debate on whether someone would achieve a state of perfection, its whether or not a government can be perfectly run. To do so a dictatorship needs to be in place where everyone is taught the same thing.

But in order to do that the status of perfection in a human being is to be needed, no?

Not really, perfection in terms of making the best possible decisions for one's people at any given time, does not require individual perfection.

But it seems like you're getting bogged down with Semantics...which isn't as interesting a discussion.

I'm with Sovieto. USA doesn't really have a chance on raising the economic problems. Let's say this. Have you guys seen this movie.. I don't remember but it's a person that goes around teh world and compares USA's Medical Plans with Europes and Canada..

In USA, you have to pay for EVERYTHING. In teh video tells a young man, that opened his knee in a accident. They interview him why doesn't he goes to the hospital and fix it?

He says, I can't. "I don't have a medical plan, it cost alot of money, and my family is at risk. " The yuoung man leaves it his opened skin knee.

But tell ya what. In Canada, it's free. You just go there to the hospital and ask for a 'Heart Surgery' and they just go and do it. No pay, no medical plan nothing.

"Usa kills people to save more money". Other countries like: France, Spain, Italy, Canada, Cuba. "Concentrate on their community, and waste money for them".

Ofcourse, USA isn't the only one falling. Colombia is one. Do you think the president of Colombia (1 person) can solve the terrorist: "La FARC"?
It's an INMENSE cuantity of people who hates the goverment. And planning to overthrough it.

You know how many people are captured/kidnapped? Over 500 people.
You think a single person or the legislature can solve the problem?

Impossible. Waht about the unemployed in USA? THere is no way it will rise again.

Here is a graph to show: [IMG]

    Incredible.

    Mike:

Hm, I see where your coming from. Ok, lets say its not impossible. But its rate of improbability is as high as it gets. The majority of the people will not want to cooperate since its human nature to deny what is right if your personality isnt the best. So lets just say its possible, but the chances are lower than a simple percent. While the improbability rate is over 98%. In order to establish such a 'perfect' kind of government there has to be a balance and certain order, no? Well, thats as improbable as the other.

Lets just face it, it wont happen. No human(s) can give the world peace. If they could, wouldnt there already be world peace?

  20. I just think it's a bunch of crap. It's almost like the reservations on the Native Americans. The question was at that time and still is: "What is America?" and "Who is an American?"
