The Way To Dusk

"I thought you might think i'm weird for saying that I would marry you."

 

Adam suddenly looked serious, "Did your dad do this?" Adam forced a kiss, a passionate kiss.

 

"Something that doesn't belong," Gerik started, "Or something that I never noticed the first time. Some kind of clue to explain who that voice is."

He walked towards the Bailey, and looked down into the valley. He saw himself, five years younger, sitting on a ledge looking out towards the horizon. One of the heartless jumped to attack him, but a dark flash went by and killed that heartless.

 

Adam turned from her, "I'm sorry....Please don't tell dad."

 

Tidus nods, looking down the other direction from the bailey. There he was, walking up the road. He would be meeting up with Gerik in a few minutes. But he would be stalled by heartless any minute now.

"Maybe something might happen different on my end. We still aren't sure whos memory this is supposed to be."

Man. He wanted to fight a little. Maybe he would get that chance.

 

"Okay, you watch you and I'll watch me," Gerik said, turning to Tidus. As he turned around, he saw a heartless charging at them. This heartless jumped and knocked Tidus down. Gerik summoned his keyblade and killed that heartless.

 

Tidus stands up, dusting himself off.

"I thought that wasn't supposed to happen."

He says, more on guard now.

"Unless some of the heartless aren't supposed to be here."

 

Gerik thought for a moment, "Actually, I think that there are heartless from memories, and heartless that are from the castle. Which ever ones are from the castle are as real as you or me."

 

Tidus nods, looking into the castle.

"Well enough sitting here watching. We have to get through this right? So lets get through it!"

He says, walking into the castle. A heartless appears infront of him, launching itself at him. He blocks it, pushing it back into the hall. He finishes it off with a blast of energy, and continues on.

"Obviously whatever we need to do is in here. Besides, back in this memory, we come into the castle very soon."

 

"What did we do here?" Gerik asked him, "I don't quite remember what it was. It had something to do with the library though."

 

Tidus nods, and they head towards the library. Up ahead, they see their past selves rushing for the library, killing a handful of heartless on their travel to it.

"Lets catch up and see what it was."

 

Gerik went to the top floor of the library. He saw somebody standing there, looking down to the first floor. He tried to touch the person, but his hand went through him, "Just an illusion. But this person.... I think it's Voltair." The figure was looking down as memory Gerik and Tidus ran into the library. The figure had two wings on his back, "Yeah, this is definantly Voltair as he was before."

 

"I know...I know. I just feel so protective of you and I just want to do things for you and make you happy. I wish that we were'nt related then I might have a chance with you. I would always be by your side and I would never hurt you. I love you, o'k." Adam was on his knees in tears.

 

Tidus looks him over, shaking his head.

"I don't really recognize him."

He says, looking down into the library. They were pouring over some books. But what were they looking for? It has been 5 years, kinda hard to remember those details. He had been studying the heartless ever since this day, non-stop. He can't remember what this could possibly be.

 

The Voltair memory sighs as he pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket. He pulled a book out of the bookshelf next to him, and put the paper in the book. He tossed the book down on the ground near the memory Gerik and Tidus. He then teleported away.

 

Tidus groans, and heads down stairs.

"No way. We've been lead since the begining by him? I remember the paper."

He yells as he heads down. For some reason, the heartless had stopped attacking them. It was quiet.

 

"I do wonder why the heartless stopped themselves," Gerik said as he jumped over the railing to look at the paper Voltair put in the book.
