    Val rolled his eyes with a smile. "Alrighty. . ." Val focused on his mind on his home. An instant later, they were in his driveway. It was a large field, with a large Victorian mansion in the middle. Foliage was everywhere. Leaves from red and yellow and everywhere in between were falling around them.

    Val rode slowly up the driveway, he projected his voice into her mind. "So, do you like it?"

    Hope was a little startled when Val's voice spoke in her head. She smiled, he was just getting more and more amazing as he went along. She was starting to wonder if he was planning things out or just making things up as he went along. She smiled and pretended to be indifferent as if she hadn't noticed his way of communicating his question "Yes. It is beautiful."

    Hope looked around. Why was it all dark all the sudden? She held on to Val's hand tighter, "Val what's going on?" she asked, fear and confusion was clear in her voice.

    "Damn him. . ." Val said in an irritated tone. He knew it was Cornelius. "Hope, close your eyes, and whatever you may hear, do not open your eyes."

    Lumiere. There was no light.

    Val tried another lighting spell. Illuminer.

    Still nothing. He tried summoning fire. Mettre à feu. Flames danced in his hands, but still, he could see nothing.

    He tried an absolute spell. Me laisser voir tous
     He saw the front door of his mansion. They were still in the same place. He looked back at Hope, and saw her there, clutching his hand, eyes shut tight. His eyes would be glowing blue, but he knew it would not scare her. More likely to facinate her.

    "Hope, open your eyes. Its safe, just a blinding spell. . .I think."

    Hope opened her eyes slowly, at first she didn't see anything but then she saw his eyes glowing a briliant blue against the black. She looked around but she saw nothing else. "What... so we're blind?"
