The Last Days: The Mark Of The Beast

Bailey heard people moving around as she slowly started to wake up. For a moment she couldn't remember where she was or what she was doing there but then she remembered the test. She moaned tiredly and opened her eyes. Panick stricken, she blinked a few more times. Why couldn't she see!? She had her eyes wide open she knew she did but there was nothing but black. She moved to sit up or put her hand up to her eyes but her hands were strapped down. She struggled against whatever it was that was holding her hands and feet down.

She heard a voice speak from a few feet away, "I think she's awake."

A different voice, more sarcastic spoke next "Oh gee. You think?"

The first voice spoke again, this time to Bailey, "Oh, nice to see you awake Dr. Silver, as far as we know the transformation went perfectly. Do you feel different? Are there any problems?"

Bailey interupted them. She knew she couldn't panick that wouldn't help her case at all. The best idea was to calmy tell them what had gone wrong. "Something is wrong. I can't see." she said more calmly than she really felt.

There was a long pause before the man spoke again, to his partner with him "Look her eyes... the pupils have been......................." he struggled to find the right word.

Bailey tried to look at the doctor guy but it was hard when she was only going by where his voice was comming from "What is it? What is wrong?"

Annother long pause and then the partner spoke "Bailey your eyes have been deformed."

Bailey's heartrate picked up but she still spoke calmly. "What is wrong with them?"

She heard footsteps. They had left the room. Just left without telling her what was going on. Bailey started to panick. Was it really that bad? Was she never going to see again? She pulled against the restraints on her wrists and ankles. Why had they tied her up? Was she a threat to them somehow? "What the hell went wrong!" (lol yes she's going to live)

Sharlah had been awake for hours now. She wasn't showing any symptoms from the chip at all except of course for the dark spot under her skin on the back of her hand where the chip was. She was sitting on the edge of her bed and some doctors were examining her. "Would you guys knock it off." she said impatiently. "I'm fine really."

 

Sharlah nodded "Just great." she said sarcasticly "Bunch of horny docs wont let me out of this damn room when there's nothing wrong with me but I'm wonderful."

 

Sharlah shrugged as she pulled on her shirt, she realized he was turned away and couldn't see the gesture so she spoke "Meh, as boring as sleep always is." she said casually. She attatched her katanas to her belt.

Bailey shook her head, "yes I feel fine. Its my eyesight that seems to be suffering." she said irritably. Sick of having to tell everyone what was wrong just to have them ask more questions.

 

Sharlah was a little suprised she didn't know she was allowed to leave her room yet but Logan was one of the bosses right. She shrugged "Go where?"

 

Shar smirked and followed him. "Where is that exactly?"

 

Shar smirked and flipped around in the air so she would hit the opposite wall with her feet instead of her head. She stood there on the wall for a few seconds and smirked at Logan before running up the wall and across the ceiling and let herself drop behind him landing on her hands and then backflipped from her hands kicking him in the face and knocking him on his back. She stood over him smirking with a foot on his chest "Convinced yet?" she said with a cocky grin.

 

Shar grinned "Would you stop with the technical talk?" she said playfully. "Oh and about the comment about my underwear..." she punched him in the face.
