    I'm in for a long evening, as it's opening night for a Halloween attraction I work at (I assume that's acceptable reason for delay on this one :p)

    Occupation: Paranormal Law Enforcement - Frontline Operative Against Hostile Entities

    Appearance & Physique: Niklaus is truly an impressive and interesting physical specimen by most standards, even within some supernatural circles. He's of an evident and utilized athletic form, striking as more of a lithe, speedy and graceful man. Where he manages to maintain such a sleek look, he carries himself at a boastful height of six feet and four inches in height, accented by a wide shoulder span capable of shadowing those that stand lower him. By average assumption, one of thinness couldn't bear much validity in strength; this is, however, erroneous, as Niklaus is bearer to a figure as powerful and muscular as it is lean.

    In a strange juxtaposition to his fit physique and healthy toning, Niklaus is of a peculiarly gaunt complexion. His skin appears drier than that of the average human, and retains a pale, almost sickly, gray coloration. Regardless of that even, he retains a young to middle aged appearance while being nearly 100 years old. He prefers to keep himself crew cut and shaven, his off-brown hair being only slightly noticeable against the paleness of his skin tone. Other features that standout in his appearance include the pure redness of his pupils, and oddly claw-like fingers that reach out at longer-than-natural lengths.

    Nick's attire is consistent of a paramilitary dress code, centric around solid blacks and dark camouflage items. Steel-toed combat boots, cargo pants, and a trench coat worn over a black or gray crew shirt comprise the basics of his ensemble. He frequently takes to covering his face and head with other cloths, and wearing shaded safety goggles as eye protection.

    Background: The crossbreed son of Vampire Lord Ivan Abendherz and an English woman know only as Gabrielle, Niklaus was born in 1918 in the wake of the First World War. His mother had been reported kidnapped, Ivan having been the culprit. Though the truth remains that she went willingly with him, her "capture" proved a hotbed for the European governments' post-wartime vendetta against the supernatural and paranormal. Niklaus was born even as military personnel prepared to storm his father's estate. However, did to the timely intervention of one Samuel E. Keene, an English paranormal investigator, Niklaus and his father were spared the fate of execution.

    They were all, however, left as societal outcasts. His father was put on restraining orders, and kept under close watch upon his estate. His mother was labeled a harlot and shunned from mainstream society. Niklaus himself was deemed and abomination from the moment his birth was reported. Both he and his mother found refuge with the Keene family, who had been spearheading efforts to bridge the relations between the supernatural and human worlds. Over following years, "Nick" would grow increasingly involved in the endeavor, using his vampiric heritage to his advantage as an "Enforcer" assigned to deal with hostile paranormal presences when failed negotiations left extermination as the only option.

    Powers, Abilities & Skills

    Vampiric Attributes

    Enhanced Physiology; Niklaus is, physically, vastly superior to humans, exceeding even those who have achieved the peak of the human condition. His natural physiology, owed to his vampiric lineage rendered him to the ranks of the superhuman. Continued physical training has only served improve on this. His strength is such that he can muster enough to lift six tons of weight. He's shown an extremely high ceiling for speed and dexterity, in some bursts being able to move quickly enough to leave a brief afterimage, and still maintain a definite control over his movements. He's thus far proven to weather the impact of the most lethal of bullet volleys and battle under such conditions for several hours with little to no rest.

    Wall/Ceiling Crawling;[/b] Nick can adhere to pretty much any non-weaponized surfaces of walls and ceilings and move about them as easily as he does the floor. It's common for him to utilize this ability to perch in obscure spots for observation, make quick get-aways and ambush hostile company.

    Enhanced Senses; Klaus' sensory capabilities, in terms of the five senses of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch are all enhanced above human capacity. The former two are considerably more augmented than the latter three. He can see with almost perfectly clarity over great distances and his eyes will even adjust to low visibility conditions such as mist, fog and pitch darkness, enabling him to see regardless of such conditions; it's likely that this is furthered by an extrasensory perception. His prowess on hearing gives him a fine lock onto the subtleties in noises he hears and an aptitude to simply hear more of what is around him based on choice focus of the sense. He's trained extensively with his senses shrugging a large extent of the adversities that might come with such sensory augmentation, thus being able to ignore certain audio and visual stimuli that could otherwise exploit his own aptitude as a weakness.

    Supernatural Sensory & Awareness; Being a breed of supernatural influence himself, Niklaus is attuned to the paranormal world. His supernatural awareness is the title bestowed upon his skill in detecting spiritual energies surrounding him. Through this, he maintains awareness of the souls within his vicinity, a skill he can utilize to detect and pinpoint, to varying degrees of accuracy, paranormal forces nearby. This includes tracking of other paranormal or supernatural beings and the tracking of individuals within a specific radius based on their spiritual output.

    Extended Life; The traditional vampire within Nick's line is essentially immortal, except by means of someone actually setting out with one of its weaknesses in mind to exploit. Nick is gifted with an indefinitely extended life. This far he's lived for nearly 100 years and remains to appear in his late twenties to mid-thirties. It's speculated that he could live to be 300-400 years old by the time he passes, should he survive that long in his line of work.

    Life Sucking; the most ancient and iconic abilities of the vampire is that to drain life force of those victims that he lays his fangs into. Dependent upon the length of contact, this drainage can be minimal to extreme, the latter of which can be critical in a conflict, sapping a foe of their stamina. The draining of life force from an individual may also leave what Nick calls an "imprint" upon him, by which he absorbs certain traits and abilities of his victim; depending on the length of time he spends in the absorption process, this can be a brief, one-time use of a unique ability, or the permanent integration of an ability into his makeup. It's been confirmed that Nick's bites are incapable of producing a new vampire or Dhampir, resulting only in the death or near-death of its victims.

    Learned Abilities & Skills

    Combat Prowess; A traveled man, who has engaged nearly or over one hundred opponents world-over, Nick is well-versed in multiple means of combat, spanning a sizable range of styles.

    Stealth; While no master ninja, Nick is proficient in staying hidden, evading detection and moving swiftly and silently.

    Psychic Prowess; From a young age Nick was surrounded by psychics and mediums. These masters of the mind and spirit knew Nick for what he was and took it upon themselves to tutor him in what should have been a natural gift: that of psychic powers. Through these practices he was granted with a small, but effective, roster of abilities. He possesses a degree of telepathy, endowing the necessary mental prowess to project his thoughts to others as means of communication and a formidable adeptness in defending his mind from the uses of mind control, mind reading and directed illusions. The training further gifted the young Dhampir with telekinesis, which is capable of exerting and controlling enough force to match that of his physical strength.

    Absorbed Abilities

    Astral Aura; To this date, Nick has only every held his bite into another being long enough for it to leave a permanent imprint. The man in question was one of great spirit, born a vessel for the astral energies and thus, naturally adept in their applications. From this man, Nick was imbued with the very astral aura with which the man had attempted to combat him. The aura can be conjured at will, and reaches Nick's powers into basic necromancy in the sense of being able to directly affect the spiritual integrity of his targets. As Nick describes these powers, "it's like getting punched in the soul... or whatever force it is that maintains a notion of life to a person or thing." While the nature of the aura leaves it as an inherently melee-oriented technique requiring physical contact for application, Nick has tinkered enough to project it out from short to moderate distances away, usually effective within one hundred feet.

    Adversities

    Garlic; By tradition, garlic is enough to keep Nick's full-blooded vampire brethren at more than an arm's length away. For Nick, the effect is somewhat less deterring and more so annoying. For him, the aroma of garlic is simply something nauseating, and a way of eliminating his sense of smell as a factor.

    Silver; something about the molecular make-up of this particular metal makes it particular effective against Nick's vampiric breed. Damage done to him with such weapons as this do not heal as quickly as those done by "normal weapons" and and cannot be forced to expedite. He recovers from these such injuries at the normal human rate. Though, once healed, the effects of the substance do not linger, as the healing process flushes the chemical remains from his body.

    Werewolf Bites; The agent injected into the bloodstream through the bite of a werewolf is venomous to Niklaus. Once it has entered his body it begins to take effect, dramatically cutting his power. Yet, were a full vampire of his breed would be killed outright, it's effect on Nick is limited to the hampering of his vampiric abilities, which leaves him dropped from superhuman to little more than an athletically inclined "normal" human. Antidotes have been created for such an occasion, but it must be used sparingly. The antidote, if used within a day of the bite, eliminates the werewolf's agent. It also seems that the hybrid nature of Nick's blood prevents him from gaining further hybrid status as a werewolf.

    Magic; Not so much an adversity as much as the most effective way to damage him; where some more traditional and practical weapons and tactics might fail in pitched combat, and the above factors unavailable, magic energies are quite often sure shots to chipping away at Niklaus.

    Sunlight; Easily, the most taxing of all of Nick's adversities is his reaction to direct light from the sun and any source of light of similar composition to the sun. When his bare skin is exposed to sunlight for too long, the effect becomes sickening, leading first to physical fatigue and then to disorientation and loss of his sensory control. In the final stages of this effect, Nick passes out entirely. The length of the process is determined exclusively by how consistent the exposure and how much effort Nick is exerting at the time. In an active battle, it could take mere minutes for Nick to go down.

    Weapons & Items

    Long Butterfly Swords; After spending some time within the residence of a traveling Jiangshi, from the Chinese vampire clans, Nick took a shine to the Butterfly Swords the creature carried with them. Quick to purchase a set of his own, they became a fixture in his combative arsenal. They are shorter weapons, similar to daggers, with blades measuring up to roughly a foot and half in length. They feature cross guards, similar to those found on a sai, extending out on the dull edges, which are used to block and hook opposing weapons. The hand guards arc over the handle on the front of the swords, providing enough surface area for use as blunt weapons akin to brass knuckles.

    Throwing Knives; Beneath the covering of his overcoat, Nick carries roughly one dozen throwing knives.

    Alucard M-P3; The sole firearm present within Nick's arsenal is a space-age looking pistol holstered on his left leg. Built off of the model of military-issue tactical pistols and handguns, the Aluacard M-P3 is a powered up version of those inspiration; packing a significantly greater force and capable of an increased rate of fire. It has also been modified through a priestly blessing, such to make it ideal for firing off equally blessed rounds. Presently, Nick's ammunition consists of sixty standard 9mm, twenty silver bullets and twenty rounds that have been blessed with holy magics, the latter two being the ideals for challenging some vampires, most werewolves and wicked or demonic entities.

    Bite Antidote; In a small, unobtrusive hip flask, Nick carries an antidote with which he can quickly cure himself after reviving a bite from such creatures as werewolves and zombie's. However, this antidote is in limited supply, and must be used wisely.

    Mine just needs a few minor tweaks, as you can attest to, but I can only use the PS3 when my dad's at work(only it can access EO, and subsequently, the profile) so I'll have it done without a doubt tomorrow afternoon
