Please bare with me when i say pokemon games are becoming silly to me. I loved playing them up until Black an White..i feel like these new pokemon are just dumb and nobody has taken to the time to create real pokemon! After the 4th gen pokemon became boring to me, and whats up with some pokemon that have wings still not able to learn fly??? I think pokemon is just losing its creativity, from the T.V show to the games.
What happened to MewToo and Enita or the unknown?? The real legendary pokemon! Or maybe im just getting old

true, the new pokemon have lost the original spark, but they increase the fun and variety. Also, some legendary pokemon like Latias or Darkrai are better than the original ones

Pokemon has lost its touches, but you have to understand they are just trying new things, and how dare you say that black and white was horrible, in fact I thought it had the best story/villians in there. All of the pokemon where unique in there own way. Honestly I thought 4th gen was the worst, the pokemon where dull only a few good looking pokemon.

5th gen brought back that spark that pokemon had in the beginning I thought. In fact 3rd gen and 5th gen where my favorites. 2nd gen being next followed by 1st gen and 4th gen, and I've been with pokemon since the beginning. Now that I look back at 1st gen I thought the story was boring. I'm talking about the game now not the show. The 1st gen show was probably the most darkest Cartoon show that I've ever seen. It felt like it had this dark Atmosphere thats all.
2nd Gen show was ok, only good part was when Ash caught that Shiny Noctowl. 3rd, 4th and 5th Gen where kinda meh to me. I didn't like the new voice actor at all for Ash.

No i meant after black and white it lost it touches! I liked B&W just as much as the next person! lol And i lost touch with the show after they got rid of max an his sister every episode was the same really! The manga was pretty good with Red (hes the best!) but the pokemon they have now seem unoriginal. I agree that 1st gen stories were pretty simple but it was still fun. Plus it was easier to catch them all!!!

1st and 2nd Gen was the best, everything past that was terrible. Designs didn't even look thought out, looked like they slapped everything they possibly could on some random animal, (if it even was an animal), and called it good.

    I'll stick to Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal.

... I like some of the new pokemon. Axew is great and then there is Emolga. They also are very creative with the beauty of the Pokemon. XD I think you are getting TOO old.

I don't know how is Pokemon is right now since I have not watch the show in about 2 months now. I'll try to see how the current trend is.

dont bother with the show if anything Ash got more retarded here is one of his qoutes from one of the new show

"Pokemon typles don't matter in a battle"

... ... XD He was like that anyway before he ever said that phrase so I don't care. I just wondering why there jus thad to be 1,000 + pokemons? Well, Digimon is rivaling them in it so I guess it is to keep the numbers up to please the audience. Now pokemon like Scraggy, that is original. Now there are some where I am like, "Wait a minute. We already have a crocodile-looking pokemon: Totodile. Why make another, similar one... that wears glasses?" I still believe that the creativity is high. :D I KNOW! Make a Pokemon from a lamp! OR A HOT DOG! SEE?! THERE YA GO! ORIGINALITY AND CREATIVITY RIGHT THERE! Now the Pokemon Games will not lose its magic from that!

I have pros and cons for Pokemon.

First off, B&W, I feel in love with N. Such an innocent boy pulled into and raised to live in a horrible world in his eyes when in truth he never got to experience life. I did not however like the pokemon and the region. For one the region did not have any cool places to explore. It was really boring. The pokemon as it was pointed out had just random stuff thrown onto them. Personally if we're going to do new pokemon I think the Pokemon team should perhaps change things up with the current pokemon, such as adding a new evolution on or a variation of different pokemon. There's like over 4000 pokemon now, I remember when I was able to name all the pokemon and brag about it as a kid, not the kids can't even name as many as I could and I don't even know them all.

Also in the games I think they should go revisit the regions more. We revisited Kanto and Johoto, but I think for the DS we should go revisit Hoenn again, also I don't think there's been a game yet even for the Orange Islands. Even know that's an older Anime/Manga, perhaps an Orange Islands game should be created, I think it be pretty cool looking.

Also I like how in SoulSilver and HeartGold they combined two different regions, I think they should do that again, perhaps with Hoenn combine with others, perhaps with the new region in B&W(that I'm drawing a blank on the name of).

Another thing as well is try to incorporate the different games and pokemon trailers. There's different regions in the Pokemon Ranger games plus that new Pokemon Knight game, making regions for trainers to travel in for those.

Another thing is maybe take a break on the pokemon trainer games. Personally I'd love to see another Mystery Dungeon game, both Mystery Dungeon series games made me cry, and I'd love to see that again.

    Enough of my ramble though.

There's one false statement in your explanation Destiny. There are not over 4000 pokemon. Only 649 =)

    650 if you count MissingNo

Missingno is not a pokemon, in fact it actually a mewtwo just glitched just youtube it and you'll see what I mean.

lol I know that. I've known about MissingNo for years. You can easily get it by having and Action Replay with the walk through walls cheat and going into the wild without a Pokemon in a new game. You'll send out MissingNo

Don't worry Answer Man, you're not getting old. I get what you mean with respect to the Legendary Pokémon (I was a huge fan of both Mew and Mewtwo), but I think the creators are just trying to get creative with the newer pokémon. Sometimes they hit, however, they miss quite a bit as well.

I've always liked the idea of collecting pokémon in order to be the best, so I still enjoy playing the games, regardless of how different these newer generation of pokémon are, since the concept of the story is still fun for me. I still enjoy the classics more than the newer games, but I play them all nonetheless.

The one complaint I always have is that I often find pokémon games are too short, but like Destiny has mentioned, I liked how HeartGold and SoulSilver combined two different regions because it gave me more to explore. It would be great to see other newer pokémon games do this too, but it sometimes seems unlikely that they will.

Oh, a pokémon game that I used to love was for the Nintendo 64 where you got to snap pictures of pokémon as you travelled through dungeons ect. I can't recall the name of the game at this exact moment, so I'd have to google it, but I'd like to play games like that again; Or the one where you have Pikachu as a pet and you get to talk to him through a mic

Let's rephrase this. Nintendo is losing its magic.

Yeah i can agree with that as well. Except for Zelda, they are the best. But pokemon is slowly dying out.

you see the funny thing is the 1st gen was everything BUT original, i mean most of them looked like normal animals like goldeen and freakin caterpie. With that said i loved the shit out of the 1st and 2nd gen, but i find it interesting that people always say "1st gen was the most original and creative" i dont think thats true atleast.
Now before you bite of my head and throw me in a snake pit let me redeem myself here, 1st and 2nd gen where my favourites because of the simplicity it gave and because of the epic and likeable character "especially the elite four".
Maybe they where also my favourites becuase it was actually possible to complete the fucking Pokédex....
nowadays i think most of the new sinister groups and gym leaders they lack creativity and soul, except for team plasma they actually tried something new, they actually adressed an issue i have been thinking about for along time and i thought that was kinda cool, a shame that they actually where lying all along about wanting to save the pokemon that was a letdown really.
