I searched the forum for a thread dedicated to Legend of Zelda discussion and the only thing I found was the "Congratulations on 25 Years" thread. With that in mind, I decided that LoZ deserved to have it's own little niche.

I know that several members have played Legend of Zelda, but I honestly don't know what most people's favourite one is. So here's a few questions to consider:

What's your favourite one ? Do you have a favourite temple and for which game ? Favourite boss ? Best partner (this is really between the fairies, boat, Midna and Fi the spirit (?) ) Did you find that a certain game in the Legend of Zelda series was a little strange ? And many more...

    ---------------------

    Here we go.

My favourite Legend of Zelda game of all time is Majora's Mask. I remember watching my older cousins playing that game when I was a young child and I thought that it was the coolest thing ever. Not only do you get to collect masks, but you can also transform into other "beings" using the Goron, Zora, or the Deku Mask. The Deku Mask is known as Scrubs for me and it's probably my favourite mask in the game. I also like the missions that you have to do in order to collect masks, like saving Lon Lon Ranch from the aliens ! (That was sketchy to do when I was younger; They always scared me.) In general, I enjoyed that game all around. The ending nearly brought me to tears :')

My favourite temple is actually the Water Temple from Ocarina of Time. It used to feel so complexed but it's now fairly easy to navigate through. Nonetheless, it's still quite fun to play. Shadow Link always seems to be a problem for me to this day though. I haven't found the most effective way to beat him yet >_<

Call me old school but the fairies are my favourite partners. It's safe to say that I really couldn't get used to the boat in Wind Waker. He wouldn't let me travel around at the beginning of the game and would put down the sails if I was going the wrong way. Atleast Midna or Navi didn't nag me so much. As for Fi, I haven't gotten around to playing Skyward Sword yet so I can't pass judgement on her. I do intend to play it soon though, considering that I bought the game for Christmas.

As for finding a game creepy, I have an entire story about it. Twilight Princess was the strangest Legend of Zelda game that I have ever played ! Midna had this dark aura about her the entire way through and the trolls terrified me; It just wasn't my game. I still played it all and beat it and the mailman was pretty beast looking with the new graphics, but everything else felt odd. I actually replayed this one over the summer and I'm not going to lie; I was most excited to see that mailman running towards me ;)

Oh and out of curiousity, has anyone played the oldest Legend of Zelda games ? Like The Adventures of Link ?

What's your favourite one?: Majora's Mask...: Uhhh ohh... AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH <--- Best part ;)

Do you have a favourite temple and for which game?: Ocarina of Time, Shadow Temple and/or Bottom of The Well.

Favourite boss?: Bongo Bongo Ocarina of Time for the fucking win! Bongo drum arena is badass XD... He was a bitch to kill if you didn't have the ice arrows though. I beat him with just my sword once... took an hour and a half but I did it lol.

Best partner?: Zelda in Spirit Tracks.

Did you find that a certain game in the Legend of Zelda series was a little strange?: Phantom Hourglass was.... different. It turned me off from Zelda for a year or so. The design was just... ugh...

Which Legend of Zelda game were you playing ? Some are better than others, I can admit it, so perhaps you were playing one of the more dull ones. Either that or you just don't enjoy Legend of Zelda games :p

I live for that moment in Majora's Mask. I never skip the scream, it's too brilliant.

The Bottom of the Well ?! That's the most terrifying part in Ocarina of Time. I always dred having to go down there, the boss freaks me out. Not to mention that the well has some eerie feel to it. You're a lot more brave than I.

I wonder if anybody enjoyed that boat

    ----------

Favourite boss?: (Completely forgot this one in my original post) My favourite boss is actually Phantom Ganon in the Forest Temple of Ocarina of Time. When I was younger it was so sketchy because he could pop out of any portrait and he always tended to be in the one right behind me, but now I enjoy playing it. He's difficult, yet amusing. I also like Goht from Majora's Mask, mainly because you get to roll around in Goron form while hitting the back of his legs. He's easy, but super fun.

By the way, who thought that Wind Waker was actually a cool game ? (Ignoring the boat though.) Maybe it was the pirate element in the game or that some of the temples were real thinkers, but I did like it a lot. I was thinking about replaying it sometime since the last time I touched it was four years ago.
