    well my theory is that MF came back in time to kill VAT as well as Xehanort if he kills them in the past then Sora Riku and Kairi never become Keyblade masters. leaving only Mickey left to stop him. Mickey can't handle it alone so It's assured Victory, however he failed so the story goes on.

    ok..... Um he sends his forces back in time to before sora had the keblade. Sora or Ven goes back to stop them Now the plot is trying to get Sora or Ven out of the past.

    The Unknown is a younger form of Xehanort.

    His weapons are similar to the Ethereal Blades Xemnas uses. I believe the reason it's different because Xemnas was a nobody and the weapons were altered. The No Name keyblade also has a symbol above the handle resembling Xemnas's Terminus. On the head of the keyblade is a stopwatch which obviously he can stop time.

    Hey I'm not always right.

    I dislike the idea of Time Travel in Kingdom Hearts.
    The Unknown is in the Xehanort Saga. I'm sure he's related to Xehanort. Everything and Everyone has been set in motion by Xehanort. The Unknown is no different.
