242 Dates for the End of the world!!! Date Setters!

Honestly I'm surprised nobody has put up anything for this. But I'm sure most know this is not the end date or rapture or whatever.

Harold Campings, a christian radio talk show host out in California has claimed that the End of the World will be on May 21, 2011 6pm Jeruesulum(sp? I know I'm spelling it wrong, I'm a terrible spelling) to be the date of the Rapture.

The rapture is when Jesus Christ is suppose to come back and take true believers with him to heaven. Anybody left will start to experience the end of the world as we know it.

The big question is, is the Rapture really May 21, 2011- and is there really going to be a rapture, but that's a totally different debate in its own.

I personally believe the start of the end of the world is not going to be tomorrow. I don't think humans will know the true end of the world, if it be from Jesus coming to Earth or if the sun decides to get really big and kill us all or whatever. Humans aren't super powered and gifted. No human not the highest religious leaders or the smartest scientists in the world will know.

I personally think the End of the World that this Camping's guy is trying to sell is just a money make scheme trying to rip off people.

And if the supposive start of the End of the World is tomorrow at the time they're predicting, that stinks because I got to work tomorrow and that means possible slow business for me. :p (unless people need tools which means plenty of credit apps :p)

I find this a load of balony. No one can predict when the world will end. Every time I hear the world ending from something religious related, then i know it's a lie. It's been happening all the time and it's never been true -_-

I've said it before and I'll say it again- this end of the world predicting is complete bullshit. People have some weird fascination with this and are constantly spewing out dates, from Y2K to 6/6/06 to 12/21/12 (and those are just the ones I know of spur of the moment). And since so far everyone's been wrong, I'm gonna guess this time will be no different.

I hope someone gets an interview with Mr. Campings on Sunday. XD

Well It's already May 21 in our country...so I need to get prepared
I prayed for God. I believe in him, he is really true and I know it..

P.S. If this is a lie, my favorite upcoming movies will be released! :)

I really don't care. We're supposed to make each day as if it is our last. If tomorrow's the beginning of a new life, then I am content and am not ashamed. If not, oh well. We just keep on living until we die.

It begins at 1AM on Sunday 22nd May for me (I believe). Would have been fun to go out tonight, strike up fun conversations with classy strangers, count down to the 1AM with friends in the park and singing songs... but I have no money =\

Anyway, confident enough to make a "I survived the May 21st 2011 Rapture" shirt.

doesn't it say in the bible that man will never know the true date that when the end of the world starts?

this is bs, all the way. Just like other end of the worlds we've been though, zombies everywhere.

// found it, "no one knows the day or the hour” (Matthew 24:36).

    - “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” —Matthew 7:15
    - "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." —2nd Peter 2:1

And that's why I'm confident the world isn't ending today or December of next year.

Although I do notice a funny coincidence with the world supposedly ending today and the CDC telling us to prepare for zombies. Maybe they know something we don't.

I don't know though, passed 6pm for me three hours ago. I'm still alive, no zombies. And where I work there's a graveyard not too far away. I didn't have to deal with defending customers with hangers. :p

I have three thoughts as to how he disappeared:

    1. He was actually a demon who just want to have as many people to believe in him so that he can get as many souls as possible.
    2. Him and a few others actually did end up raptured. (I hope not and that it is actually the 1st and 3rd).
    3. He's hiding in the bushes at his church.

Still, I hope that the members of his church do not end up getting attacked because of what Camping said.

Highly unlikely. If the rapture happen I know of quite a few fous people who'd be taken, but they're still here, and so is the pope.

I think because he got so much "ca-Ching" and now everybody knows he's false people are sending threats.

So, no zombies and none of us were Left Behind. Man, am I shocked at this turn of events.

I'm thinking this is the most likely. If not at the church, he's hiding out somewhere with the money he's swindled from people.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for the people who were taken in by this fraud or scoff at them for being so stupid as to believe him. I'm leaning more towards the scoffing. But it really is a shame for the people who sold all their belongings and quit their jobs, or even killed themselves, over this.

Do ya think people will remember this day come 12/21/2012?

I would honestly feel embarrassed if I was the pastor. How are you going to go back to you're congregation and tell them that it was a mistake?
Most likely, but on the contrary, rumors are saying that meteors will hit, or the "So called Illuminati" will try and downsize the human population.

As long as I'm sleep while it happens I can care less.
