The New Organization (Reboot, you could say)

    OK I saw Curtis looking at it the other day and the idea struck me. How about making a New Organization roleplay? The first roleplay many of us were included in. How about only having it 3 lines minimum and allowing newcomers to enter the rp? I loved how the original was COMPLETELY improvised and did not fail. I also loved the interactivity between characters and the darker emphasis of Kingdom Hearts itself. I say let's redo this and get our new members involved!

    I think Destiny would be able to start this roleplay with a little more SHIZAM so I'll leave it to her.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but how do I have more Shizam plus I've only read the first one and that was forever ago. So I don't know exactly what to put as a somewhat plot or whatever.

    Unless somebody else really wants me to do it, I think somebody who was in it before should make it.

    I'm aware I'm the only original member who is still really active (Hope's around too, but she's not as active as I am), and nobody's bothered to tell me about this idea. I'm a little hurt (Have I ever mentioned how much I hate how the internet fails at transmitting sarcasm?).

    1. The first one was the only one that was ever completed. All the planned sequels failed.
    2. There was no real plot to the original. We just did things. One villain goes down, and the we have another take that villain's place. Which is also why it is the largest thread in the forum (Aside from all the OOC posts and whatnot). We just never really bothered quitting until we decided to end it.

    If that's the case I guess I can put up an ooc *shrugs* but only if somebody other than sora wants me to because Sora's idea and I think he should put it up, or another member of that RP(aka DW).

    I suppose I'll do it tomorrow (February 9th). I can't really stay up late Monday thru Wednesday anymore since my college semster has started up again and I have a class in the morning each day.

    Haha Interesting thought but it wasn't the plot that made the RP so successful guys. It was the LACK of a plot. And I'd also like to point out that the RP was so bloody long and had so many members because it had like 3 different stories going on at once at some points and somehow the 'Main' characters managed to survive all of them at once (not without some frustration haha just ask Shikamaru :p). There were a lot of things that this RP had and also lacked that made it work that a lot of us seem to be forgetting.

    Im not going to go into great depth but plain and simple, everyone needs to calm down when Roleplaying. Its not your science homework its a writing game, a hobby. You really want a successful one, then make an RP thats plot is made of 4 sentances MAXIMUM. Only plan two pages ahead at most. Let the newbies in, then kick them out later if they cant get with the program. And have one, pardon my french, Bitch, to keep everyone in line. Then, let it go and see where it ends. You think we planned all of that shiz the characters went through a year in advance? Haha we were too lazy.

    Look, I'm not saying, I'm just saying. xD The more rules we add on and foreplaning we put into an RP, the less and less likely it is to being a success. Everyone lately is like "OMG I have to write six lines :0" and "We must plan where do we want this RP to go. Quickly team... eew look a noob dont let him into our inner circle of RP destiny!!!"

    Chill. I promise, your RP will turn out better.

    Im with Hope here, the rp was so much fun to do cause it was fun. Period. Ive been gone for a while so now it throws me off how convoluted rp plots are now and how many rules they have.
    And if a new version is made count me in, we just gotta try to remember why the og one was great, cause we didnt give shiz where it was going, we just tried to make every scene as awesome as we could, instead of wasting a potentialy great story to just further our own intentions with our characters.

    Here's a simple rubric. The more people, the less solid things you should plan. Ta-da!

    Exactly. Its absolutely impossible to keep everyone on the same page when you have six zillion people in the same RP. Though some people like the more in detail plots to follow and the rules but then again, most people who do are the more exclusive roleplayers who only do private and invite only roleplays anyways. TBA I get tired of always doing things that way myself. It sort of takes the fun out of it sometimes. thats just RP gospel according to Hope. To each their own oppinion. :)
    Point is do what you want. Its no biggie.

    What's wrong with working for our own intentions for our characters though? A good character is motivated by something, and we have to accommodate them one way or another.

    Never said you shouldnt. ha I'm not really saying dont do or dont not do anything. There is nothing wrong with your own character having their own intentions and goals and such. In fact, its a good thing. Other wise, theyd just be an uncreative stump in the RP... like stick. Not really contributing much to the story. Do you want to be a stick? I didn't think so. :) haha
    Thats exactly the point though. As long as you aren't making the whole story about your character and being a big pain in the mary sue butt, its awesome. Though I dont ever see you going overboard with it. you are pretty good with getting things just right in that area so its no biggie as far as I can tell.
