Connecting attacks one after another, combo attacks; same thing. I still feel as though he is one of the weaker characters but accessories would just change all of that anyways.

Mine is Cloud because I can beat anyone with him and he is my first Lvl.100 character.

I don't even know which character would be nice for balance: Onion Knight, Terra, Cloud of Darkness, Shantotto, Ultimecia or Bartz?

Onion Knight or Bartz. They are much more capable at fighting mid and close range distances and are easier to use.

I am surprise that no one here uses Firion. Is he that bad of a character or what? I thought that he is up there with the Warrior of Light.

It's just annoying to use him in a large open area. When fighting against somebody like Zidane, it is difficult simply because Firion sucks in the air. All he can do is crappy one-shot spells that move too damn slow to hit consistently.

he's very strong when of the ground tho, and it's possible 2 manipulate some of his moves 2 hit airborn opponents

For me, Onion Knight, for several reasons. Mainly, because Final Fantasy 3 is to this day the only Final Fantasy game from the main series that I've played all the way through. Secondly, because he's such a fast character. If you're good at going from running, to attacking, then back to running, he can be very hard to hit.

-_- Oh my gosh. I do not like Cecil. I went up against a Maninken version of Sephiroth and Cecil's attacks in his dark form was not even good enough. I kept on getting whooped as him and he is mostly a close-range warrior anyways.

I'm just gonna go ahead and assume you didn't use Cecil properly.

Dark Knight - He fights on the ground. In air, he sucks.
Paladin - He fights in the air. Opposite of Dark Knight.

To switch between the two: Usually it requires the use of an HP attack. Do one in the air, and he switches to Paladin. Do one on the ground, and he swtiches to Dark Knight. At some point, he can learn some Bravery attacks that allow him to switch. When in EX mode, just pressing R and square will automatically switch him.

don't be hatin on Cecil, he's my best character

Too bad. I am hating on him. Dark Knight mode is the only mode taht I mainly uses and my Paladin mode hardly has any attacks. Even if I want to switch to Paladin mode, I would most likely go right back to dark mode. Plus, if I wanted to to deal a lot of HP damage, he ends up becoming more vulnerable if he misses and I kept on getting my butt kicked by a super-high leveled Sephiroth Manikin.

This is because I am between levels 10-20 with him and as of right now, he sucks. Almost as bad as the Onion Knight and that is because the onion Knight have super super close-range attacks and only a comet spell. I kept on trying to have him level up and fight against a Terra at the max at the same level and she overwhelmed him big time. I even made sure that I saved a record of the only battle that I had ever beaten her too.

You don't really need many attacks for anybody. Just the three. And Paladin mode's beginning O attack is rather useful. The whole point of Cecil is using both modes properly. If you don't do so, or only use one mode, you're gonna get your ass kicked.

And Onion Knight is an awesome character. He'll get better once he chains his Brave attacks into HP attacks, but he's really easy to use and decently strong.

The problem with Cecil is that he can make himself end up giving away a weak point and he sometimes end up being so slow to attack.Plus, he only have a limit on his range. My Onion Knight was sucky sucky in the levels 1-10. he is now level 13 so he is doing ok. Still, the only characters who I have played as of right now and have ranked for my suitability is:

    1. Terra
    2. Ultimecia
    3. Warrior of Light
    4. Firion
    5. Kefka
    6. Cloud of Darkness
    7.Onion Knight
    8. Cecil

well no character is inheretly weaker than any other character, it only depends on the person.

That's kinda wrong. At least in terms of EX Bursts. If every character had the same exact stats and equipment and whatnot, Cloud's EX Burst is the strongest and Jecht's is the weakest.

I am still in favor of Terra the most since she is the one who I can use to win a lot of my battles and she is level 40 while everyone else is in their level 1-10's. Still, I give some credit to Cloud. I really like him. Squall is very nice too but he do not have the same firepower that Cloud has. I also like the Cloud of Darkness too but the problem that I have with her is that the Wrath Particle Beam is so hard to use because of exact concentration and timing.

    1. Terra
    2. Ultimecia
    3. Cloud
    4. Warrior of Light
    5. Squall
    6. Cloud of Darkness
    7. Firion
    8. Kefka
    9.Onion Knight
    10. Cecil

no no. What I mean is that it is incorrect to assume that a certain character can't ever win, and that it is dependant on the player.

Just got done playing with the Hero cast. -_- I am not much of a big fan for Zidane. I mean, he has good attacks but there have been times where his Free Energy attack is just not working unless I am real close or if the AI has made a mistake and he hardly do any real damage with his ex burst hp wise. I do like his combos.

Now Tidus is a character that I feel comfortable with. I can dodge and have the speed. All I need to do with him is to focus on his accuracy and he will be up there with Terra. Ended up having him level up by 5 real quick so he is in his level 20's right now. The only thing I really don't like about him is his Energy rain when it does not connect.

As for Bartz... I do not know. I like his ability to mimic but it feels as though he is lacking this range ability. Still, I would really like to put him up there with Ultimecia because of his ability to mimic.

    1. Terra
    2.Tidus
    3. Ultimecia
    3. Cloud
    4. Bartz
    5.Warrior of Light
    6. Squall
    7. Cloud of Darkness
    8. Firion
    9. Kefka
    10.Onion Knight
    11. Cecil
