Looking at Dissidia Characters in the future

Now we all know that Tifa is now 100% utterly confirmed (We even know her EX move, which is awesome)

However what other characters could be coming? That's what Im thinking so I'm going through all 13 of the main games, having a glance and rating the characters with the following.

    A*=Perfect candidate
    A=Likely with no complications
    B=Likely but with complications
    C=Not likely without another character
D=Not likely due to no story
E=Not likely due to lack of moves
    F=D+E

I've also put by the character's name who they ally with. (Co) for Cosmos, (Ch) for Chaos

When looking at them I will be analysing their possible moves and possible story.

    Let's start

    Final Fantasy 1
Due to this having a simple story, I see no real characters coming from this anymore.

    Final Fantasy 2
Maria (Co) - B/C - She is very possible. She has a bit of background to go with and providing her brother Leon's in the game, this is a good possibility
    Leon (Ch) - B/C - See Maria
Guy (Co) - D - He has the moves, but he has no story what so ever.
Minwu (Co) - F - I can't really seem him being in the game
Josef (Co) - D - He also has the moves. No story
Gordon (Co) - B - He actually could have the moves and a motive against the Emporer.
    Leila (Co) - B - See Gordon
Ricard Highwind (Co) - B - Just like Kain
Scott (Co) - F - Not really any moves and no story
Borghen (Ch) - E - Would be a comical story. No moves

    Final Fantasy 3
Sara (Co) - E* - Would work wonderfully with Onion Knight. No moves
Desch (Co) - D - Has the moves. No story
    Aria (Co) - F - I can't see her fitting in
Alus (Co) - D - Has the moves as well. No story though
Doga and Unei (Co) - B - They got da moves!
Hein (Ch) - D - Also got the moves. Still no story
Xande (Ch) - A - He's a magician, he takes up almost all the story's villainy and he looks kick ass.

    Final Fantasy 4
Rydia (Co) - B - She definitly has the story. And the HP moves. It's the Brave moves that's preventing her getting an A
Tellah (Co) - B - Pretty much the same as Rydia but he also gets the fans vote for those who liked "You spoony bard!"
Edward (Co) - F - He doesn't have much of a story and very little moves. He wouldn't be suited for Dissidia.
    Rosa (Co) - A - Edited
Yang (Co) - D - He has the moves instantly. If Tifa got in, so could he. Though he was just a party filler so no story.
Palom and Polom (Co) - B - Definitly the moves and the story. Though the complication is how would their duo system work?
Cid (Co) - F - Pretty much the same as Edward
Edge (Co) - C - Providing Rubicante was in it, this would be an A
Fusoya (Co) - D - Has moves. No Story
Rubicante (Ch) - C - See Edge. Ironically he's a higher rate than Edge in my opinion
Zemus (Ch) - A - Has the story, has the moves and even an EX Move which would be the Big Bang. He's ready to go

    Final Fantasy 5
Lenna, Faris, Galuf and Krile (Co) - B - Providing they get different moves, they're all possible.

    Final Fantasy 6
Locke (Co) - C - Brilliant character. Has a sense of humour and seriousness. Needs Celes though
Edgar (Co) - F - No real story or moves. Simple as.
Sabin (Co) - D - Pretty much the same as Yang
Shadow (Co) - B - Providing there was some way to implement his background, he's perfect.
Cyan (Co) - A - He's got the moves, and the back story. Perfect.
    Gau (Co) - F - See Edgar
    Celes (Co) - See Locke
    Setzer (Co) - F - See Edgar
    Mog (Co) - F - See Edgar
Strago (Co) - D - Has the magic. Just no real story.
    Relm (Co) - D - See Strago
Gogo (Co) - D - Definitly has the moves. Just no story.
    Umaro (Co) - F - See Edgar
Leo (Ch->Co) - E - Has the story. Just no moves...
Siegfried (Ch) - B - He has the moves and can have a story made for him

    Final Fantasy 7
Barret (Co) - A - Definitly has the story. And the moves
Red XIII (Co) - A - Has the moves and the story.
Cait Sith (Co) - F - Pretty much the same as Edgar
Cid (Co) - A - Has the story about his dream to fly in space so he would work perfectly with Firion. And the moves too!
Vincent (Co) - A/C - He would technically work but it would be better if Hojo was in the game.
Yuffie (Co) - D - Has the moves. Good ones at that. No story though.
Hojo (Ch) - E - Has the story. No moves...
Reno (Ch) - A - Has the moves and the story. And goes well as an antagonist to Barret and TIfa
Rude (Ch) - A - Same as Reno

    Final Fantasy 8
Rinoa (Co) - A/A* - Got the moves, the story and an EX move. She's perfect
Quistis (Co) - D - Definitly got the moves. No story...
Zell (Co) - D - Like every monk...
Selphie (Co) - F - Very little story and I have no idea what job she's meant to respresent in the game. Fail.
Irvine (Co) - D - Easily got moves. But no story in the game besides being a sniper.
Seifer (Ch) - A - Basically the same as Squall. He'll get in eventually

    Final Fantasy 9
Garnet (Co) - E - Definitly got a story. No proper moves.
Vivi (Co) - A/A* - Got a story and my god! Moves too! If Black Mage is in the game, he gets an A*
Steiner (Co) - D - Got the moves due to SE giving him knight moves. Just no proper story.
Freya (Co) - A* - Got the moves and a hatred for Kuja. She's perfect
Quina (Co) - F - No moves. No story. Fail.
Eiko (Co) - E - Same as Garnet really.
Amarant (Co) - D - See any Monk...
Black Mage 1-3 (Ch) - A - No need for a story. Thanks to Vivi!
Beatrix (Ch) - A - Got the moves. Got the story and even a EX Move. A!
Lani (Ch) - C - As long as Garnet is in it, this is an A
Zorn and Thorn (Ch) - A - They would be amazing in the game

    Final Fantasy 10
Auron (Co) - A - Helping Tidus. That's all that's needed for his story. Win
    Wakka (Co) - D - See Yang
Lulu (Co) - E - No Wakka, no Lulu. Simple as.
Rikku (Co) - E - Pretty much the same as Lulu
    Kimahri (Co) - D - See Yang
Seymour (Ch) - A - Moves, story and my god even an EX move. He can go far.
Yunalesca (Ch) - A - Has the moves, the story and looks kick ass

    Final Fantasy 11
    I haven't got Final Fantasy 11. So I don't think I can give a proper view

    Final Fantasy 12
Penelo,Balthier,Fran,Ashe (Co) - B - If they all find moves, they can fit nicely into the game
    Vayne (Ch) - A - Edited
Vossler (Ch) - D - Got the moves, no story
Ba'Gannan (Ch) - C - As long as Balthier is in it, he'll be kick ass

    Final Fantasy 13
Snow (Co) - B - Providing he gets some sort of vision of Sarah, he fits into Dissidia like a Jigsaw Piece.
Vanille and Sazh (Co) - B - Providing they have a story that ties them both as bosses, this works brilliantly.
Hope (Co) - F - No proper story and no moves. Sorry Hope.
Fang (Co) - A - Got moves and providing Vanille's in the game, a story too!
Barthandelus (Ch) - B - Due to feedback, he now has moves and a story. Meaning he goes up to B due to Lightning already in the series.

YAY! So glad that Edea have an A! Whoo hoo. As for Red XIII, I thougth that he should be an C-/D+ because of complications and that people most likely would not like him in the plot unless he has been changed. As for Yuffie, she has a story but it is only optional.

Xande most likely would or would not be a part of this. This is only because he desires Time Compression like Ultimecia and she fill up that postion better.

for the most part, I give props for the accurate criticsms........buuuuuuuuuuuuut, I feel I have to speak about FF13. I feel Barthandelus and Hope DO have moves, what with magic being allowed like with Terra, though I can see the other way about that. Still, I feel Hope can fit (and Barthandelus if FF13 needs a villian)

Okay I'll change Barth but I need proof that Hope does have moves. To me, he's got no moves.

well, he's essentially a sage, same as Terra

I disagree with the Cid option. The way I see it, he'd be too similar to Kain. Personally, I would prefer having a character from one of the other VII games (Of course, only Zack comes to mind. Don't like Genesis, Angeal would be alright but not needed unless Zack is there).

Unless they have characters that are ranged only, I disagree with Rinoa being a character to pick. And I would only see Zell excluded because he'd be like Tifa. And as for Edea, no. She'd be too much like Ultimecia. I also disagree with your exact judgement for Laguna. He's got more storyline importance than what you give him credit for.

Out of all your suggestions, I would say Auron is the only good choice. First, he's a complete badass. Second, for Seymour to be in the story Yuna needs to be in there too. And as you said, Yuna isn't quite there move wise (Unless we go X-2 style, but that's going a bit too far).

Since Vayne is the last three bosses, he has the moves. But another good character would be Venat (I think that's his name. The Occura helping Archadia the whole time).

I notice you forgot Cid. I believe he'd be a good character to put in, move wise.

Just no. Like I said before, she'd be too much like Ultimecia. Probably a weaker version of Ultimecia.

Thinking about it, playing as Red XIII would be awesome. He'd probably be the most unique character in the game.

Have you ever played III? Xande does not want time compression. Xande just wants to stop himself from dying since his master gave him the gift of mortality.

Like Roxion said, Hope would be similar to Terra. And he has moves. His unique attack (Don't remember what it is called) would work like Kuja's Ultima.

Im fully aware that alot of the characters are very similar to characters already in the franchise, but bear in mind that I'm going for possibility here. I'll bump up Laguna and Vayne for now

You don't even know how Edea would go. She might be on the side of good. You cannot even say that she would be a weaker version of Ultimecia because Edea's spells might be similar like that of Exdeath or Cloud of Darkness. Even if she were on the side of Chaos, she don't desire Time Compression like Ultimecia do.

oh yeah, I forgot about Cid Raines. His EX Mode would probly be that crystal form thingy. He'd probly make an ok villian if they really don't want to put Barthandelus in.

What I am saying as to why put Gilgamesh for only number five when he could also have been placed for any other series? We could just add him in as a secret character.

As for Garnet and Eiko, I believe that they have moves. Terra didn't have any proper moves but she was able to use the Final Fantasy spells. Why not do the same for Garnet or Eiko. Allow them to use final fantasy spells. Terra didn't even use any of her sword attacks.

Because the version of Gilgamesh in FFV is awesome. Beats the hell out of the version from VIII and IX, anyhow. And he's a pretty major villain of the game, unlike in many of the others where he's just a bit character, or a summon, or something like that. If you've already got Exdeath and want another villain from that game, he'd be the first one I'd think of. And I've not played the first Dissidia, but I'd think he'd be easy enough to adapt to the game.

Never actually owned FFV. I had more of a reaction to him in FFXII. In FFVII and FFVIII, he was nothing more but a random summon to help me whenever he feels like it.

^ The version of Gilgamesh in XII is really very similar to the version in V. But in XII, he's just a mark you run across a few times and in V he's a major villain, so it makes sense, if you were going to choose a version of Gilgamesh to include in the game, to go with the better developed one from V.

Shouldn't Rydia be made an A. Her Brave moves may be spells.

Yuna shouldn't have been made an E. She have a lot of skills to use from X-2.
