Mysterious Enemy

Wow! I just discovered something new. It's more of a rumor than anything, but you can actually change the difficult of the Mysterious Figure depending on how many of your skills you have equipped. Now keep in mind he can still THK you if you have Once More and Second chance on and OHK if you don' have either, but a good amount of people stated that when equipping skills they only needed for battle, his attack pattern became less absurd.

I haven't found anything yet disclaiming this rumor yet, but it seems plausible by the number of people actually trying it out. I'll have a look for myself and see what's up. If so, he may be beatable without cheap tactics.

 

Yeah, I read that the less abilities abilities you have the easier he is, so I guess keeping your abilities to a minimum is a priority. I'd suggested have Thunder boost, Leaf Bracer, Once more and Second chance. Maybe he won't even use doom - I've seen battles where he didn't even get the chance to do so.

Oh yeah and I know what you mean about that vanish trick he does - It's annoying as all hell. I can't lock onto him and it really bugs the hell out of me because using sonic rave on the guy is useless. I got him to his last bar once because of Ars Solum, but then he got me with that flame tornado trick, so I could not even dodge it right.

I might consider using that Thunder surge strategy with Terra only because it's much harder to use a normal deck with him.

 

tried to fight him for the 2nd time....got him 2 half health and then he reminded me of my place.......the guy f**king cheats....

 

You just reminded me. I've got this weird notion in my head that if the Mysterious figure did have a voice actor he would be laughing like a lunatic for most of his attacks. I'm not sure why, but I picture him as the Kefka for Kingdom Hearts. Feel free not to comment on this weird idea..

 

Really? I picture it more as the solem "Know your place...." kind of voice

 

Yeah. I thought he would have the same kind of calmness and superiority that Sephiroth or Xenmas would have.

 

I still stick to my insanely insane idea of MF being like Kefka. I'm only sticking to it because I'm simply tired of these secret bosses being 'cool' characters.

 

this boss takes bosses to a whole new level, but none the less i think hes gonna be a character in KH3 because i think they are gonna have to dumb him down to be on the ds and this guy isnt dumb looks like he eats TONS of vegi's. also i really dont think data sora could wipe him out

Oh. My. God..........I BEAT HIM!!!!!!! ha HA!!! I beat him with Aqua, the one person I REALLY needed to beat him with! HA HA HA!!! I'M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

 

Almost beat him with Ven. I kept laying mines down to stop his path. It works very well and you can get a few hits on him as well.

 

not a whole lot of hits tho, he mostly jumps over them, the filthy cheater...

The trick is to roll around it in a circle almost.

 

They only do an extremely small amount of damage - it's barely even noticeable. It's also a very risky move in that battle considering you have to stand still for it.

And then brought the mood down but telling him that there was more work to be done, but hey it's what you do.

 

Thnx for the not cynical congrats Raven, and thnx for the congrats anyway DW. Also Ventus: A trick I tried with Ventus is to use the mines 2 build up a finisher, have u tried that? It didn't work very well for me, but maybe it's just me...
