Dissidia: Final Fantasy 2 Screens

Tbh, there's a title change.
It was Dissidia : Final Fantasy
It's now Dissidia 012 [duo.something something]

So Im thinking Square Enix are thinking of the big picture

EDIT: Didn't notice the small Final Fantasy words in the 012 logo. My bad lol.

It's gonna be a double edged sword if they have KH

 

Its Dissidia Duodecim.Atleast from what I have read.

On KH characters,plenty of FF fans like KH.Its one of the reasons I started playing KH after all.I still believe that a KH character would be a secret character ala Gabranth,probably Sora

Kairi is the LEAST likely main character to be chosen for Dissidia.Nothing against here,but out of all the named Destiny Island characters she has the least fighting experiance.Even if she can use a sword,the other ones are probably still better.This may change by KH III,but for now that fact stands.

Sora or Riku are the most probable,with Aqua or Ventus being coming in right behind them.Terra...would be funny,and is right behind his friends.

Really,KH would not ruin Dissidia.Though lesser things can be announced that will make people think its ruined.Im sure some thought that Dissidia itself would ruin the FF franchise forever.

 

I've got some news. It's an interview for the game, taken directly from another website to inform you all on what's going on.

 

I hope whatever changes they've made to Firion include making him better in the air.

I'm a little worried about the new controls, simply because I like what it currently is.

And with data transfer, I hope they transfer a bunch of good stuff. I've got all but 2 characters at lvl. 100 and everybody almost has the best equipment they can get.

I also like the idea of going into a previous war. While I had thought that after the events of the first Dissida, there would be more wars. But I guess not.

 

I agree, especially considering that he's one of my mains. I don't want them to totally change him. Just add some new moves so that his current moves are far more flexible and not so situational.

I'd hate to lose my stuff. I have literally clocked in over 500 hours on that game. I'm obsessed, I know - I'm seeking counseling.

Another game for Dissidia wouldn't be possible unless it was set in the past as there was numerous times where it was mentioned that the war between good and evil would be decided on that one final battle. I'm guessing that Chaos won't be the final boss and if he is he won't be destroyed like last time.

 

And here I thought my 200+ hours were alot.

I might as well put my opinion for the war going on in spoilers.

*spoiler*I didn't think that the war ended because in the secret ending video it shows Cosmos alive and well. Which should've meant that Chaos too is alive. Before the heroes had defeated Chaos, Cosmos did die. But unless some force other than Shinryu revived her, Chaos should have been revived along side her, and the battle continued.*spoiler*

And Chaos can still be a final boss for the storyline. Or Cosmos if we get an actual villan's storyline. Either god can still be a final boss. Don't you remember, in the story, how the war would continue even when a side has lost?

 

Didnt they say Chaos won the last war?maybe we actually play one of the bad guys first and defeat Cosmos...idk.

Ok,so its still Garland and Warrior of Light.Firion is in,and actually know I believe Leon will be the enemy this time.

Kain is probably on the villian side since its before Dissidia.

Jecht might be the hero this time,since they said he was on the good side last time.Same thingwith Terra,though she would be on the villian side due to mind control.

Edea is now more probable also,sure that makes SB happy.Either Jenova or Sephiroth will be the bad guy for VII.That one guy from III that was thought to be the enemy might be the villian,but maybe not.Any other ideas?

We should start with a list of confirmed characters. Hey, I remember making this for the first Dissidia

FFI: Warrior of Light and Garland

FFII: Firion and Emperor

FFIII: Onion Knight and Cloud of Darkness

FFIV: Cecil, Kain, and Golbez

FFV: Bartz and Exdeath

FFVI: Terra and Kefka

FFVII: Cloud and Sephiroth

FFVIII: Squall and Ultimecia

FFIX: Zidane and Kuja

FFX: Tidus and Jecht

FFXI: Shantotto

FFXII: Gabranth

FFXIII: Lightning

Now, as for possible characters. I suppose Xande from III is a possibility. Maybe somebody else from VI, like Celes or Locke or somebody. VII has a lot to choose from because of its possibility. Personally, I would prefer having Zack over anybody else. I believe Genesis would be an option for them as well. For XII, I would prefer to have Balthier, but maybe Ashe or Vaan would be a more likely choice. And for XIII, either Barthandelus or Cid as the villain.

 

For XII,Basch seems to be almost a given.His brother is in after all.Surprised I forgot he is in,saw the pic with him in it.

No idea on XI.For XIII,Im guessing the Super Pope,though Cid is a possibility.Yaag Rosch or Jihl Nabaat are also possible,simply because i think fans would like to see them fight on foot (or for Jihl,actually be able to fight her.)

On another possibility,Kain may switch between the two sides,and his own story wont be shown on either side.Either that or a fourth character will be on the good side.I really want Rydia,though it probably wont happen.

 

I hope there is a way to get the alternate costumes without having to pre-order anything. I would much like to use KH Cloud. That is my favorite outfit of his.

 

So would I,though right now they said you have to preorder BBS Final Mix to get it right?That makes you wonder how we would get it outside Japan.

 

Yeah I know what you mean about Zack. I'd choose him anyday, but I'm just afraid that his fighting would be too similar to Cloud's but only faster or something like that - SSBM's Fox and Falco, anyone?

I don't like Genesis, plain and simple. His character felt too much like a random insert at the last moment for me to take seriously. Angeal felt the same way a bit, but since him Zack had some moments I warmed up a little to him.

Yeah, Balthier seems like a pretty good choice and he would have some interesting lines with Gabranth no doubt. Even still, I think Ashe is the better choice as she was more of a more character than Vaan could ever hope to be.

As much as I like Cid's character design, he didn't have a lot of appearances in the game and leaves pretty abruptly, and I'm sure I'm not going to be the only one confused by his appearance in them. His attacks would be great though, and I think the transition from XIII to Dissidia wouldn't be that difficult.

 

And with SSBB's introduction of Wolf, we could add Angeal. Cloud, Zack, and Angeal would be Dissidia's Fox, Falco, and Wolf.

Personally, I don't understand how people are such big fans of him. To me, he seemed like a whinny brat.

My main team in FFXII actually consisted of Vaan, Balthier, and Ashe. But for Dissidia, I'm not sure who I'd rather take, Vaan or Ashe. Balthier is my top pick for XII though.

He would already have an awesome EX mode. As for your above reason, that is also why I mentioned Barthandelus (Or, as dualblade calls him, the Super Pope). For his regular fighting, he could just go around as Galenth Dysley. And then for his EX mode, or perhaps EX burst, I'm not sure which would work better, he transforms into his Fal'Cie form.

 

You know he is.Plus unlike AC II,we got to take him down (yay for Brotherhood,he is goin down this time!)

Anyways,if I had to choose I would want Ashe in there,and if multiple characters,either Vaan or Basch.Those guys were also my main team.If you ask me,if Balthier is included,they would probably put in Fran too.Sure not many people would mind.*Whistle*

Cid would have an awesome EX mode,though I still think SP will be in.THough his EX mode would look very wierd...damn owl.

Vayne will probably be the XII villian.Already has an EX mode goin for him and everything.Cid never had one for him,unless they do somethin with his machines.Possibly call in his robots?

VII,I think they will stick with characters from the first game.No Zack or Genesis.Probably Tifa and Jenova.Im sure Aeris is dead by these events...though being that this takes place before Dissidia,Aeris could be in it and be killed by Sephiroth.

 

Or they might have him summon his giant-a*s summon spirit like he did in his game.

I actually wouldn't be surprised at all if they brought in Aerith just so Sephiroth can kill her off again as a means to develop Cloud's character in a similar fashion to his original game. That was what they were attempting to do in the first one anyways..

 

Strange as it sounds, that would be an interesting turn of events

 

^_^ YAAY! EDEA MAY HAVE A CHANCE TO APPEAR!! WHOO HOO!!! ALL OF MY EDEA FANS SHALL CELEBRATE!! Anyways, I think that Cosmos might be a villian herself. Ultimecia, Kefka and two otehr villians stated that they fear her for she's the Goddess of Death.

 

Actually if Rinoa joins the fight, there's a very good chance they'll put Edea in as well.

 

Death does not equal Evil SB.All things must die,and those who seek to stop their death fear it most.Those like Kefka,Ultimecia,they fear Death.If they were somehow good then they would fear Chaos this way instead,for he would bring their Death instead.

This is not to say Cosmos wont be the 'Villian' of this game.Though that means when we play as the good guys,no matter how awesome we are,the real villians will win for they will strike down there enemy (Cosmos).And then the events of Dissidia happen.

 

The Evil Lord Vayne from 12 may have joined the fight. I'm currently looking for proof.
