The Dominion of Everything

Matthias was knocked back from the attack. "Mortal Draw... Impressive. Never thought your father would've taught you a suicide move. But the same attack won't work twice." Matthias moved to attack again. "As a side not, I do not fear." When Matthias reached Kain, he jumped and dived towards him. Matthias' jump would fall a little short, landing in front of Kain. Matthias' body continued, dissapearing once it reached where Kain's feet were. Glowing circles appeared around Kain. Another one appeared below Kain. It detonated, exploding right underneath him.

 

Kain tried to slash Matthias before he jumped but was too slow. Kain could only gasp ion shock as he saw the explosion start. By the time they finished Kain was coughing up blood. His left arm was burnt from him using it to shield his face. "*cough* Father didn't teach me that technique... I was taught that... by a master on a different world." As Kain finished he dropped the two clawshot he carried and his quiver and bow. He needed to concentrate solely on stopping Matthias and those were only weighing him down against such a fast opponent. Kain looked at Matthias before charging in and unleashing a fast flurry of blows at him.

 

Using the smaller blade to block, Matthias swung the longer sword in a way that it went down parallel between him and Kain. From this, Matthias stopped Kain's attacks. Kain's sword was stuck in between both of Matthias' blades. Matthias moved his body, forcing Kain's blade down. A figure started crawling out of Matthias' right shoulder. This figure, a simple clone of himself, stood up and moved toward's Kain as Matthias' held him down. The clone split itself, making a total of four clones. They all surrounded Kain and placed their hands on what would be the ground. Magic lines shot out, connecting each clone and making a square around Kain. From the middle of each line, another box formed. And another, and another. Each box was smaller than the next. Matthias released Kain's sword. His ghostly aura revealed itself. "Can you break free of my seal before I take your soul?" The ghostly aura reached out towards Kain, making a motion to grab his soul.

 

"Damn!" Kain shouted as he reached into his pocket an grabbed a small pocket watch. He pressed a small red button on one side and vanished. He reappeared outside of the seal looking down at the watch in his hand. "I was hoping to hold this back for a long as possible." He said Matthias went through were he just was. Kain looked up and held his sword in his right hand, the pocket watch in his left. "I don't know entirely what will happen if you take away my sould, but I know that it would put an end to this battle in your favor. So long as I have this, you'll never have a chance to grab my soul. The best thing about it though; you can't copy it. You don't know how it works or what it does, the only limitations to your copy ability. I've been planning my fight with you ever since I recieved this. This is my trump card, this is your undoing." Kain quickly ran straight to the real Matthias but rather than attack him head on he came up but then feinted to his left and aimed a stab through his side.

 

One of the clones intercepted Kain's attack, allowing Matthias to move back a bit. "What an interesting little trinket." Both of Matthias' blades disappeared. "At a glance, I would guess that it allows you to teleport. But because it has the appearance of a watch, I figure it would alter the perception of time for everybody but yourself." In Matthias' hands were now his red sword, the counterpart to Jaden's sword. Matthias held his left hand up in the air. A grayish orb formed. It shot up into the air above them and burst. All of their surroundings, including themsleves, became entirely black or entirely white. Using the change in colors, Matthias could blend his body with the surroundings.

 

"How good are you at spotting hidden enemies?" Matthias' voice echoed out all around Kain. "With this magic, not only can I remain hidden, but I can also alter where my voice comes from. So wherever you hear me may not be where I actually am. Binding chains." Blood red chains shot out towards Kain from multiple directions. All the chains had a spike at the tip and were moving fast enough to go completely through Kain.

Another clone of Matthias appeared. This one wasn't black and white like the real Matthias. "I hope you don't mind if I multitask a little bit." The clone opened up a vortex and left Matthias' dimension. The vortex naturally closed after the clone went through it.

The vortex opened up to The World That Never Was. The clone appeared by Caliber. It stopped him from walking away. "You hate Jaden, don't you. After all, who wouldn't? He has the girl of your dreams. He is destined to save the universe and, as a result, be showered in the love of others for his actions. And where does that leave you? Nowhere. You won't even be in Jaden's shadow. You'll be forgotten about. But, I can give you everything you would ever dream of. I have only one single condition. If you do this one little favor, I will grant you anything and everything you desire.

 

"Yes, and? Your little 'way' won't bring back all the worlds that this plague upon the omniverse has destroyed. It won't bring back my brother." Malisa retorted viciously, her unseen face in a look of disgust. "There's nobody else waiting for me. I've made so many bids for power. . . and I am not about to waste what remaining life I have on something that doesn't help it. If I have to destroy a thousand worlds to save my brother, then so be it."

"Selfish child. . ." She grumbled. She pulled her cloak tighter around herself, as if she were getting cold.

 

"Perfect." The clone grinned. The ghostly aura formed. It reached out and grabbed Caliber's soul. While holding his soul with one hand, it grabbed a piece of Matthias' soul and implanted it in Caliber. "You now have a portion of my power. That will give you the strength to do one quick objective before your main goal." The clone pointed to the castle. "Go to the top of the castle. There lies the location to this world's energy. Absorb it and make it your own. We have no need for this world anymore, so its energy is all for you. Once you have that power, return to Raine. The crystal sword she is in possession of, take it and bring it to me."

 

Raine stood there surprised. She didn't realise the man who appeared behind her holding a blank puppet. Sora looked up at the man.

"Raine look out!" Sora quickly said and launch forward with his keyblade and swung a couple times at the puppet master.

"Go now, just get out of here." Sora stated quickly to the others.

"Dad?!" Raine exclaimed.

"GO!!!!" He shouted pushing his hand back at her light going back and pushing her, Malisa, and Angel into a portal of light.

Raine felt herself tumble backwards and she laid on the ground Jaden's sword appearing in her hand. She sat up and looked around. Where were they? It seemed like a giant meadow. She stood up and looked at Malisa who just a minute ago was complaining about things.

"Malisa, the time travel may not actually work, as you saw that something happened compared to your actual future, how do you know you didn't cause it? We can't afford something bad to happen. We need to listen to Angel, Caliber is just going to have to wait, we need to save the universe." Raine spoke, for some odd reason, even what happened just recently, she lost some feeling for Caliber, though, it wasn't the love, for some reason the love for Caliber still clung onto her heart and part of her was hurt by what she did, but what did she do. She wasn't real positive what to feel or trust, though she had to focus on other things.

 

"You DON'T UNDERSTAND. This universe isn't the only one in danger. The entire OMNIVERSE is, was, and always will be in danger because of that stupid kid!" Malisa barked, her hood almost slipping off as she got up. She secured it before it revealed her face, however.

"I KNOW I didn't cause it because all the universes 'near' this one started falling apart first. I wasn't some omnipotent goddess back then. And my dimensional traveling didn't do anything like that before, so clearly it is Jaden's fault! There's no way anything could be worse, because THIS IS THE WORST IT GETS!" She shouted at Raine, barely restraining herself.

 

Raine turned around. She looked down her body glowing before she turned around Jaden's sword up in her face.

"Shut up, he is the only one who was suppose to stop this, and the only one who can save us now, have a better idea, go do it, as long as it doesn't involve me or you give me a good enough reason." Raine said not moving the blade from her face at all. She flicked the sword as it disappeared and Raine was holding the neck of the cloak Malisa was wearing.

"I'm sick and tired of your attitude, you're such a drama queen and all you think about is yourself. Do you honestly think you're the only one who lost something from all of this?!" Raine yelled at Malisa. "LOOK AROUND YOU!" Raine shouted. "People, defenseless, innocent people died, some made slaves to change the world and universe around them into something from their nightmares! I lived the last 3 years out in the World of Remebrance, every day a memory of someone who tried to be a hero showed up, I lost my best friend and-" Raine started to say. The world almost slipped about Caliber which she wasn't even sure about herself. "And all you care about is YOURSELF! How do you even have a keyblade?! A Weapon to help others and given to those willing to sacrafice themselves to protect the universe!" Raine shouted.

Raine threw Malisa towards the ground. "I'm not the same pushover you knew 3 years ago, you didn't have to witness the pain I had to witness, you didn't have to fight for your life for the past 3 years, you didn't have to watch the world... no, the universe change around you because the only hope for the universe sacraficed himself to save you, NO!" Raine screamed at her. Jaden's sword and Raine's keyblade appeared in her hands.

 

(OOC: uh Hope? Hyrule was destroyed as the RP started. Kain is from Hyrule and is the only survivor from it.)

Kain side stepped Matthias' chains as he watched the clone leave. "You really think you can divert any attention from me? I'm a much bigger threat than you think." As Kain looked around he could see that Matthias was hiding perfectly. He tried listening but like he had pointed out, he made it sound like he was everywhere. If that's how it is then I'm on the defensive until I figure this out. Maybe I can lure him to attack though. "I've got a question Matthias; you showed me you copied my fathers techniques. But did you copy all of them?"

 

Matthias chuckled. "If I had to hazard a guess, I believe you are talking about Din's Fire. It is my goal to have infinite knowledge. Absolute infinite. Even though Din's Fire is an obsolete spell, I do know it. Do you believe it has the range to get me? If so, then try it. But, do you have enough time to do so?" As Matthias asked that question, spikes started shooting out from the ground. The popped out in random locations. The would stab up to about three feet, then shrink back into the ground. Several spikes popped up every second, quickly retracting back into the ground."

 

"Not even close. I was talking about a sword skill." Kain said as he began to move around to avoid spikes. Even though they were seemingly at random, Kain soon noticed a pattern and began to move in time with the patterns blind spots. Annoying little trick. I may have figured out the pattern but in conjunction with other techniques and this gets way too deadly. "You're gong to have to do better than this Matthias. I keep telling you, I've gotten better."

 

"Okay. How 'bout we try this one? Gravity Well." Above Kain's head a bluish purple sphere formed. This sphere altered all the gravity around Kain. Kain's body lifted into the air, stuck in between where he was walking and the Gravity Well. "Objects that are denser than others have a stronger gravitational force. I can control how dense this Gravity Well is. By first making it denser than the area below you, your body is attracted to the stronger gravity. Once you are too far away from either location to reach the ground, I make the Gravity Well as dense as the area below you. With the two locations having an equal gravitational force, you are stuck in place. Again, you are vulnerable like you were with my seal."

 

I am only so long as I'm affected by that orb. Sadly... my little trinket here won't get me out of a permanent effect like this. Damn. He's really got me now. "So this is how you fight when you get serious? Like a coward? I expected more from you. You seemed more dangerous three years ago Matthias!" Kain was trying to provoke him, he was pretty sure Matthias himsef knew this. The fact remained though that Kain had a point; as soon as Matthias 'got serious' he started hiding and attacking with tricks.

 

"Cowardly? No." Matthias replied. "I suppose you could call it toying with you. I am not the overzealous type. I am not overconfident in my abilities. I do not offer somebody last words, I do not fall into the same mistakes villains of fiction fall into. I gauge abilities, then strike based on what I have concluded of my opponent. I do not allow the chance for something to backfire. If you can break free of this Gravity Well, then I shall dispel it and the camouflage." Matthias chuckled a little. "And, I'm trying to enjoy myself. It isn't everyday that I use so many different types of magic. I suppose you could say that I'm just flexing my muscles."
