He does have a point. During the week I have sports till 5 then have to eat till six do HW till 8, and squeez time in till 930 to hag with friends then I go to bed at 10 because im a tiered person. Then on weekends I hang with friends have sports, and am buisy,, but Ive gotten into the swing of things lately and have time to get on and be active and that will hopefully happen with other people!

 

Still, Master Sora was 100% correct Toph, in everything he has said so far.

From what I've seen, and I could be wrong, he made a suggestion and you came down on him with a hammer. What you posted made it seem to me that you were deeply offended at him, so you defended yourself. When he backed down and tried a new route, you shut him down yet again.

People, wake up and smell the muffins! Yeah we have a major inactivity issue going here, and no one has tried to fix it up. Here we sit chatting about it, but the problem is still their. This cancer of the forum won't go away by sitting and chatting about it over tea and crumpets, but by us actually doing something for it.

Don't chatter about advertising, get out and do IT with a capital I T! Don't sit and talk about your posting equation for activity, but go and apply that! Don't chatter about making new threads, but go make some! So far all I see is people complaining, and not doing. Don't be part of the problem for heavens sake, be part of the solution.

I am moving for this site to buddy up with a few others to help get some lasting members. Yeah we seem to be losing out on new members and that sucks, but we members who are already here have no excuse. If the Rp section is the ONLY running section, and frankly it's pretty diseased already, then leave it open and encourage it. I am a member of a rp only site, and you know? it's actually kinda fun! Plus it has other sections that are fully and completely active so that rp members can chatter about other things. If we are turning into a Rp site then so be it! You can't stop change, but only go with it.

Yeah this is a kh fan site. So why not make a full style jumbo rp forKh lovers everywhere? Let the rp vets have free reign with it in the feedback section and I'm sure we can come up with something. Kh FAQ's for people who need help? Make a section for that and include all the games as subsections of that section. Wanna keep the old rp section active? Fine, make it a other rp's section and make the jumbo one as a section all its own.

The old Kh-3.net site is well and truly done for. The other sections have ground to a virtual halt. I'm sorry, but no amount of posting is gonna revive them without a massive revamping of this entire site. The old site had a pretty good run, 4+ years is pretty long for a forum like this one, and I was proud to be a part of it. But with the spam section went the general section, and with that goes most of the debaters. We no longer have a very active kh games section unless someone has a game question, mainly because we've talked out all that can be talked out. The entertainment area never was super active, and the die offs of the other sections well and truly killed it save for a few people holding onto it for grim life. Suggestions and contributions obviously will still stay on since that is the true heart of this site, but I don't know how much longer it will last if the rp section dies off.

In short, it's good bye Kh-3 and hello new site. Not to point fingers, but I noticed the site starting to die off around the time when good ol Ebal left his post as admin. I wish him well, and I know TD has tried his very best but this site is old people. Time for a fresh change, or this site is on a one way ticket to the grave.

Also if and when you guys close up the rp section please let me know before hand. I'm setting up a DnD rp group there and I need to let people know ahead of time that no sessions will take place while it is closed.

 

the RP section will not close Zerith. that's not going to happen.

but neither is turning the site into an RP site. this will stay a KH fan forum, and will never be a KH RP forum.

also, in case you haven't noticed(which judging by your post you haven't) the staff has been trying. the problem is that the attempts are failing.

 

I thought I mentioned that. You are trying a lot of ideas that I know won't work. And you may not have an option at this point shadow. The site is mostly done in now, and competitions or other such things aren't doing anything to fix it. I see this site falling into a pit of complete inactivity if something major isn't done. And I'm not talking competitions, new threads, or anything small. I'm talking huge and ground breaking. Something no one has exhausted yet.

 

and something nobody outside off staff seems to realize; we can't make those big site changes. not without TD anyways and he seems reluctant to do any major changes to the site. plus he's rarely around and likely wouldn't have the time to make the changes.

In order to make sure that everyone will just calm down, I will say something random that some of you will think of me stupid. Blah blah blah blah blah. I have everything that I wanted to do make this site more lively and this has already been made hahaha. Well, since you're such a worrywart, I might as well give all of you my own ideas, Starring the title " BWM'S GREATEST TECHNOLOGY!!!"; In other words, my own ideas on what I want to do and what the site should start doing.


Greatest Technology of BWM:

1. The Ivalice Project: A roleplay idea that I had made (NOT PLAGERIZED ARHELN OR WHATEVER YOUR NAME IS THAT I'VE FORGOTTEN!) just from being a Final Fantasy FFXII nerdy nerdy. Based on some sequels on the past, events on what had happened in some people's life and the truth of the Occurias all from my own mind AND NO PAPER!
2. The Cameo-Spinoff Project: Just as similar to the Ivalice Project but the only reason I had came up with this roleplay was because I kept on replaying this Ashley Song on Super Smash Brawl that has all that jazz hahaha.
3. New Stories: Let's see... I'm going to rebring back my story, Xenosaga IV but I'm just going to put up a link just so everyone can jsut read what I have already made. Then there's Final Fantasy: A Tragedy of A Timeless Woman and ... ... what's that other story? Oh well. But still, my stories are more popular on Animemb than on here.
4. New Designs: Yep. Going to end up making a Part 3 of BWm'S 3DX Max Creations. I have improved a lot because of architectural designs so I hope Desert Warrior like this new design based on interior designing of houses.
5. GO TO DEAD HOMES!: In other words, START POSTING IN OTHER SECTIONS!!! There's a whole lot of entertainment out there and there are stories in the traditional section just waiting to be read but they are just viewed instead of being commented on. Final Fantasy section has died out too. There really need to be some debating. I love CNN since it's keeping me up to date and my AP American History been making us become more "detailed".
6. New Releases & Opinion: That means to just try to post reviews on what's about to come out or what you think about a particular show, etc. The game Section and Television & Shows Section are feeling lonely right now.


Whew. I have 27 more things that I wanted to say but that will just make this thread go off the charts (This is what happens when your computer has crashed. Makes the creativity start to flow ). Oh yea. I also third, fourth, or whatever number it on what master sora has said.

 

RPs are really not needed right now. yeah, it's not as active as it once was but it's still the most active part of the site.

posting in other sections; i wonder how many times people are going to suggest this before THEY DO IT WAS WELL! a lot of us have been posting in other sections recently, buts always the same few with only a couple differences per section.

all in all, your suggestions Summoner, have already been said, criticised, and attempted already.

 

Let me see. Most of what I've said about the ideas that I will be doing are what I will attempt to do and I know will succeed 95-100% all the way. Not only that, you state that it's been attempted but are the members "Really trying"? To me, I odn't think that they're not trying. Oh yea. Everyone knows that they watch T.V. They just might as well post about that new cartoon show, "Regular Show" or maybe the T.V. magical show "Charmed". They would be worth talking about. Still, there are some who don't think beyond that or "Relive" some memories that they had when they were kids. Card Captors is one of them.

 

I am new here, but I've already discovered a few things that should change just based on my mere observations.
I've run my own websites before, which have been quite successful.
Here are a couple of things I'd like to suggest.

• Dismiss the SOTW heading in the forum. That sig Prodigy made is quite nice, but that was from Feb. I hope this doesn't come off as me having some type of ill feelings towards him, but there is an idea behind SOTW -- the week part being said idea. It's the second week of September, and the SOTW from Feb is still being advertised. If the site cannot host a successful, weekly sequential SOTW contest due to lack of experienced graphic designers, it is best to simply just rid the site of it and the traces of it. The idea behind obtaining members on your site is to make the site look and feel alive, and you cannot achieve that in advertising inactivity. Upon first glance of that, new members considering joining will see it as the site is inactive already, and move on to the next forum.
• Encourage more activity from not only the members, but the staff. Posting activity is minimal, except in the RP section. It's great to have one forum receive so much attention, but sometimes the job of a staff member is to contribute to the forum in more than one area. Without having posts to keep your forum alive, the staff will have no need in keeping mods and S-mods to clean the forum and monitor for malicious practice.
• Remove the Retired Staff group from the displayed usergroups on the forum leaders page. I'm not saying this to try and disrespect old staff members, but when members look at what kind of staff your site can produce, seeing a retired staff section only produces two responses: 1) shows there is a high amount of people who no longer work for the site, for whatever reason, which may or may not have been harmful in some way, and 2) overwhelms the user into thinking the site is clogged.
• Maybe get rid of the banner with all the KH characters? You have the KH Planet banner on top, then followed by yet anoher banner. Some people have actually responded to surveys saying a strong incentive for them to leave a website is if they have to scroll too much to get to the content. Two banners is a little much, tbh, but they both look pretty awesome. So, it's really just a suggestion to try and keep the pages a little more efficiently simple.

Just a few tips, whether or not you want to consider them is up to you. Just want to help :3

 

He didn't seem to be accusing, but pointing out. And if it was a problem you did not need to fill this thread by nearly shouting at him. Instead you should have responded by pming him and politely informing him that you and the other staff members have done no such thing, and then apologize if it looks that way. And don't blare at me about it, I was pointing it out not agreeing with him.

Put it like this. This is one of those threads that are generating activity. Look at me for instance. I'm not just in the rp section now am I? And please keep the language to a minimum. We don't need to be trashing this forum with.... well trash talk. And before you freak at me about that, imagine the image the cursing sets. Yeah I am known to curse once in a while, but you've been doing it about every post. Yay, you can swear. That doesn't add to your statements in any way, so please just don't.

If you have no patience with this thread, by all means you can leave it. And at least we are trying to come up with ideas. So far I've only seen you shooting them down, save for the generating activity by being active. Tell me Toph, if not what we all thought up, what would you have us do?

When Ebal left it kinda slowed down some, then when all the big changes happened the site dropped like a stone. I have to agree that it is probably because everyone is growing up and getting a life now.

In that case you are outnumbered, but not alone. You just said that you guys can do nothing to save the site. That really doesn't give us a good image. And before you flame this statement imagine that if I am interpreting this statement this way, odds are good that everyone else is.

Thank god. I can still try and salvage something from that section.


Oh and Dawn, for a big change I mean something huge new and exciting. As luigi said it in Super Paper Mario,

"This is just boring... Don't you wish something would happen? Like a... Kerbloie! Ya that!"

That sort of thing. A full Kh Roleplay, or a major upgrade of the site, or something similar to that. Huge new and exciting. Don't leave it to just me to decide, put forth a suggestion for us all.


Finally, and having noticed it a lot in this, flaming is not helping. Instead of arguing think about things together. Instead of jumping on me start thinking as well, and try to come up with plans of your own. At this point we can't afford to be picky about what we do for the site.

 

okay, the entire staff, myself included, is getting annoyed by that one suggestion; A BIG ROLEPLAY WILL NOT SAVE THE SITE
that would fix the RP section at best.

but if we want to save the site, how is focusing all our effort on a single part going to help? not much when you actually stop to think about it. we'd possibly get more members for just that area and nothing more. we want the site as a whole, plus the RP section should be the last thing we try to fix considering it's the most active right now.

 

I'm just going to do what I know what I'm going to do so if all of you don't know how to solve this, oh well. This is, to me, simple but will take a lot of work. Also, did the Traditional tournament been coming along smoothly?

 

you can always create a new banner.

Example: Throwing in a mixed blend of Kairi and Namine together or have Kairi, Xion and Aqua have their keyblades together pointing at the sky like the Htree Musketeers or something.

 

why just the chicks? if we get a new banner i'd want one with one of the heroes of the story: Sora, Riku, Ventus, Terra, or Aqua.

anywaays; feel free to submit new banner ideas. if we get enough people to like them then we'll try to get TD to change it.
