Yeah, plus if you can't write 6 lines or more, then obviously it's not time for you to post yet and if you get people pestering you to post then they need to add a little more details in their post to bring you in easier. Basically all posts should flow with each other smoothly, which hehe we don't have a lot of.

I think the only reason why we can't even have great roleplays like before is because someone always have to go:
Complainer-"YOU WENT AND POWERPLAYED MY CHARACTER!!! REDO YOUR POST!!!!! YOU WENT AND GODMODDED MY CHARACTER!!!".
Not only that, if we start going by the roleplay rules too much, it starts to get a little bit boring until people start to lose interest.

It's either that or that people are to scare to step outside the box.

SB you are completely wrong, first off that's breaking the rules, and that's not the problem. Usually though the slightest bit is slid past, but you now and then cases so huge, that it's bad and can't be done. Plus god modding can happen only with the RP's creator to add to the story purposes, however not just out of the blue in say a fight with another character or something. The problem is just people aren't creative and think outside of the box on stuff.

No, that only happens to you, really. I can cite many examples.

And "Going by the roleplay rules too much"? So you're basically not following the rules. That's a fine thing for a mod to hear.

I can't imagine why they'd be too scared, I mean it's writing about a character.

Yes, RP Creators reserve the right to railroad people onto track.

And as for the creativity, there's not much that any mod can do. It's up to the people to learn how to do this.

The only thing I have problems with is powerplaying and that's the one thing that I have to work on with. Even though I'm still trying to break that habit, it still doesn't mean that me or someone else can't make it more interesting (which I definitely know based on me telling Dawn about comedical stuff for roleplays.) Besides, every single roleplay that I've join, most of you make the roleplay go waaaay too serious. There's no comedy, no little bit of romance, not enough taunting or something to make you laugh. This is my opinion so don't get mad at me for speaking out what I think.

Actually there is quite a bit of comedy thrown in RP's with RP character's personality, there's just none of your comedy which is actually pretty stupid might I add, no one finds shaving a characters hair off funny but you, it's rather very stupid.

And there's a lot of romance, almost every RP has romance.

Eveyr isngle RP has a lot of emotions SB you just fail to even see them.

First of all, I had stopped the hair shaving a long time ago when you went and left thank you very much. I did not do the shaving hair part to make it funny last year. I only did that so taht it can actually make the other character at least try to join in the drama.
Not only that, making a character do something or say something stupid shouldn't even be a bother. To me, I say that's stepping out of the character's personality and make them do something that's not even like them in my opinion. If you want your character to talk about how big their forehead is, make them make jokes about someone. If you want your character to play with crayons and try to pick fights with another character, go on ahead. Don't just always stick with a character's personality and don't always try to make the roleplay way to serious.

I get the sneaking suspicion that this is turning into an arguement, but that's just me.

For the Arena thing, I was actually the one who came up with the Idea and endorsed it becoming a section. If the mods don't mind, I'll take over and put the rules up. It would give me incentive to come back more often anyways. I would probably kill some of the old turn limit rules, since we don't have to just worry about having only two arena's. I already have some Ideas for it.

A problem is 1) RPs don't last long enough for character development. People can't make their character grow without the story developing and they are allowed to understand their character fully. Without indepth knowledge of your own character from RPing them, you can't make them grow.

Serious is fine for a roleplay. And plenty of comedy and romance and all that other shit happens in RPs, and as Dawn said you fail to see it SB. For example, in New Dawn, there was PLENTY of romance going around. In Tales of a Journey (An RP that's actually on hold and not forgotten), Italia and I have plenty of comedy and romance. SB, you have to realize that each RP has a mood. Compare it with a move. If you've got an RP like. . . Dark Knight, then there will be a LOT of serious and a LITTLE of laugh. I said it improperly so you'd notice and maybe it'd sink in. If you make an RP like Mary Poppins (Silly idea, but you get my point.) then there will be a lighthearted feel all around. So you see, you must do things that suit the mood. Shaving a character's hair is not only not one of them, it is also completely inane and childish.

And Haresuno, you as always know what the hell you're doing. Good show old chap.

Not true, good sir. There are conditions, in common Arena RP practice, that allow for battles to be weaved into continuity. It comes at a price, of course, but The Arena could certainly be utilized, not as a plot itself, but as a means of furthering a plot, or a story, on a more character centered level.

And for the record, Zerieth, myself, and another member before me (I think it was before me), had presented the idea of combat centered RPing (the concept of the Arena), before you. And in any case, I've been scouring as many sources as I can to pull together an effective guide for it.

EDIT: AND as of today, I'm on somewhat of a roll with getting the basic rules and guidelines of The Arena prim and proper for eyes to read. It won't be as all-encompassing as I would have liked it to be. But as long as the basics are up, it'll do just fine. More is apt to be added anyways.
