"The World"

As Karite appeared in the area he looked around. It was a large platfom over looking a thundering waterfall. Karite walked over to the edge and looked down. Whoa...better not get in a fight and fall off. Karite headed back towards the gate and sat down, waiting for Sion to show up so that they could talk. He had a few questions and if Sion didn't have the answers then he was just going to leave.

The two had been conversing for what to be many many hours, but it only happened to be a mere half hour. They walked along the Mac Anu canal and stopped to turn around to see a running Kamau waving and failing his arms around wildly. That's him all right, no mistake about that. Kamau stopped in front of them and bowed. "Heh, sorry guys, I got a little carried away with the assignment. So, what have you two done while I was out?"

Heather looked at Leo and Leo shrugged, "Nothing much, we just talked, that's all."

Heather bowed and added in, "Yes, he's a very fun person to talk too "

Kamau dug in his ear and puffed out his chest, "So . . . who's up for some adventure?"

Leo's eyes beamed, "ME >"

Heather laughed slightly, "Yes . . . I am ready also, heheh."

Kamau skipped off waving his hand, siloliquiyng, "Well then, let's go, go, go!"

 

Wraith looked at Yui and said "No." "I'm fine." He then turned away from her. Yui had a worried look on her face. "Are you sure?" "You don't look like." Wraith glanced at her and said "I am." "Yui.... thanks for worrying about me." She giggled and said "Its ok, Wraith." "Its ok."

As they entered the field they looked about. It was a largely scorched landscaped as if someone had torched the entire place. Kamau grinned and placed his hands behind his head and said, "About time we got to see some fire in this place." Out of the corner of his eye, Leonardo spotted a magic portal that popped out a chest.

He turned to the others and pointed at it, "Hey guys, we got a chest!"

Heather beamed in the eyes and she said happily, "Really?!"

"Yeah!"

Kamau bopped him on the head slightly then noogied him lightly, "C'mon then let's open it!" But as Leonardo reached for it, light shined and an explosion erupted from the opening of the chest, sending him flying. He looked at his HP and it was at 1. Immediately, a magic portal opened and a large ogre giant appeared, wielding a mace. "Oh SHIT!!! LOOK AT THAT THING!!!" Kamau exclaimed pointing at it.

Leonardo took a potion and restored his health fully, Crap, I should've been paying attention. Heather stood mesmerized by the monster. As it lifted its magnificent mace, Leo ran forward and tackled her, landing on top of her as they dodged the mace. "Umm, sorry?" he said with an unsure smile.

Heather blushed furiously and she sprung up and grabbed his hand, urging him to run along with Kamau.

Merlin sat drenched by sadness in his seat in Latin class. The seat next to him was empty.. It was Ruben's.
He remembered he went to the hospital last night. Ruben went into a comatose state right after Zeke was killed by Sukiko. The doctors said that they could do nothing. They said more and more of these cases had occurred lately.
Something just isn't right.. He thought. "Why... why couldn't i help him.?"

Leonardo wheeled around and he and Kamau slide up next to each other. Kamau looked back and called out to Heather, "Heather, start up a spell of us. We'll need all we can get!"

She nodded and began to chant her spell. The monster stepped forward and Leonardo and Kamau dashed in opposite directions, "Let's show em' how we do it Leo!" Kamau side-flipped an into attack from the monster and caught hold of a piece of cloth that it wore. He swung upwards and spun to the left, moving and cutting the monster on the side. It moved back and back-handed him hard, sending him down on the ground. Kamau clicked his status and saw that he was stunned. "Shit . . . I'm down!"

Leo's eyes flashed with determination and he ran at the monster. He spun his blades around and attacked with a violently strong combo. "Lunar Strike!" He called out as he leaped up and hit the monster causing considerable damage. As his feet touched the ground below him, a ring of flame circled him and burtsed. His hit points took a lot of damage and he was halfway down in health. He picked out a potion and flung it Kamau. "What about you?!" he asked as it snapped into his hand.

"Nevermind that, we have to protect Heather while she's charging the spell!" he said with a certain volume of conviction. Kamau got up and spun his chakrams furiously. They spiraled and flashed with flames. "All right! FIRAGUN!!!" He bellowed and sent a emense ball of flame that smashed into the monsters chest, taking away more hit points from it. "Be careful! I knows magic too!" Heather called out.

He book began to levetate in the air and another circle began to etch and graph its way into view. Her chantings became faster and faster, more and more hasteful. She's getting ready to use an offensive spell! We need to hurry before--- Kamau's thought was cut off by the monsters roar. It began to glow red and its eyes flashed with hatred. "Shit, it's a berserker! Watch out!" He said as it began to charge at them. Leonardo leaped back and began to charge his own spell. Kamau rolled to the side and his chakrams began to glow red with ambient flame again, waiting to unleash their fiery fury upon the monster.

Heather opened her eyes and the circle finished and glowed with a golden glint. "OVAL TORETEVATUM!!!" she shouted.

"LUXRA INDUOS!!!" shouted Leo.

"PYROS INFERDOAX!!!" Kamau added in. The monster raised its mace to smash down on them but was stoppped as the three unleashed their magical fury upon him. A golden beam from Heather, a white and black hail of arrow-like beams from Leo, and a tornado of flame from Kamau surged forward and took the monster head on. It screamed out its final deathcry and disappeared, sending down massive XP to the heroes as they fell over from the force of the scream.

Twin Blade Level 13 2/3, Harvest Cleric Level 13 2/3, Macabre Dancer Level 2/3 XP

The three friends warped back into the Root Town of Mac Anu and were in total ecstasy. They had just taken down a large monster and were in the mood for celebration. They walked along the Mac Anu canal and entered the inn of the town and took their seats somewhere.

Kamau leaned back and slopped his feet on the table and sighed with relief, "Maaaaaan, that was great! The three of us make a great team!"

Heather, who was sitting next to Leonardo nodded in agreement and said, "Yes, you two did a good job of defending me...." She thought back to the moment when Leonardo had thrown himself on her to avoid her being harmed. He and Kamau worked very well as friends, and Leo was a great guy to talk too. She was having more and more fun on The World than ever. She was grateful to have friends like them.

"So," started Leonardo, "What do you guys think about going into another field and exploring a dungeon?"

Kamau snapped up a large thumbs-up and grinned, "You bet your ass I'm up to it? How about you Heather?"

"I'd love to," she said with another gentle smile. Leonardo thought to himself, Man . . . every time she smiles it sort of makes the place feel warmer. He then shook himself from the thought and back to the subject. "So, when do you guys want to start?"

"How about tomorrow? It'll be Friday I got nothing to do," Heather said.

"Hmm, I'll see if I can get online, I have to work on Friday, bleh."

Leonardo stood up and saluted to them, "All right then, we'll just set up a time then after school, yeah?"

"Sure!" said both of the simaltaneously. "All right see you guys tomorrow."

The three logged out and went to bed.

Merlin threw his bag on the bed again and sat back in his chair as he always did. He still had his head down. It was hard for him to proceed his daily life without his best friend.
He logged onto the world.
Nero accepted a boss battle and walked to the chaos gate. But a group of other players started to follow him as he did. They started shouting at him.
"Hey you!" the yelled. It was the first time players took the courage to bully on him.
"Yeah you, we've been watching you. Were is that lil' gay friend of yours?" he continued and Nero suddenly stopped. "Oeew, i hit a soar spot, guys" he continued to his 'friends'.
"Did he had ouchie? Did he want to go back to mommy? We watched the whole thing!"
Nero's eyes suddenly wided and his pupils went extremely small.
"What?" he slowly spoke.
"Yeah, we watched him get dried off by that gir-" He was suddenly interrupted as Nero's huge lance was immediatly put against his throath.
"You... WATCHED?!" Nero shouted out in rage and people started to look what was going on.
"He died... Because of you?!?" he shouted and pushed the lance a bit further against his throath.
Suddenly the group of players following the boy all ran away.
"If i EVER see you again, you're so dead." Nero continued and walked away towards the chaos gate.

When he went through, something didn't feel right. He looked around to see if there were any monsters. They were all gone. No sign of data anywere.
He suddenly heard a female scream coming from further on. He quickly started to run to see what it was.
When he entered the site the scream came from, there were 2 people up ahead.
When he looked closely he saw a girl, dressed in black and green, fighting the other.
When he observed the other, his heart skipped a beat. It was Sukiko! She was attacking the girl.
Nero didn't know why, but he suddenly felt an amazing amount of energy rushing through him. His lance started to glow with a blue energy, as well did his clothes! He ran towards Sukiko in rage of his loss. Sukiko noticed him just in time. She dodged the lunge and jumped up as she shrugged.
"You!?" she said wildly.
"You...killed my.... friend!!!" Nero shouted and a massive power errupted from him. He started to fully glow with dark and blue powers! His total being was transformed. A dark and red malevolent arm summoned from his left shoulder and his eyes glowed fiercely red.
He boomed towards Sukiko as his lance started to grow a blade on it's side.
Sukiko's eyes widened and she readied to block, but it was too late. The girl in green widened her eyes at the sight before her.
Sukiko was blewn backwards by the massive impact of Nero's mutated lance. Sukiko's look- a - like brother suddenly dashed at him from the side. He had been waiting all along.
He hurled a massive scythe strike at Nero, but it was easily countered by the cruel red arm swiping him away.
"He's an Epitaph!" Sukiko shrugged. "Catch the girl, we can't handle this guy anymore!" her brother said and dashed around Nero.
Nero swiped his lance around him with the bladed part forward, attempting to blow them both back. The attack hit Sukiko, but missed herbrother, who immediatly charged at Nero's back as he saw the opportunity. Just when he wanted to strike, he was blown back by an unexpected magic strike casted by the girl.
The two defeated predators looked at each other and nodded. They dissapeared.

Nero suddenly fell to the ground as the strange power surrounding him dissapeared into data.
"Are you all right?!" the girl shouted and went on her knees to hold Nero as he gasped for air.

Leonardo stepped through the doors of the school only to be greeted by a friendly tap on the shoulder. He turned around to see Kamau standing over him grinning, "Hey what's up mister Twin Blade?" he said with a playful tone.

He smiled and gave him a high-five handshake, "What's up dude?"

"Nothing much, goin' to classe, first one AP Biology. You?"

"I'll be going to AP Spanish in a while."

"So," he started while biting on a granola bar and tossing one to him munching, "mmh, what do you think of your newly brought up postion on the soccer team? People are starting to get the word out about you."

He rolled his eyes, "That's the last thing I want right now, ehhehe."

 

Wraith smiled and said "Yui." "Lets go check out Mac Anu." Yui smiled and said "Sorry Wraith." "I would like to but I have to get off now." "Again, I'm sorry." Wraith smiled again and said "Its ok." "Go ahead." She smiled and laugh. "Ok then." "Bye." She then ported out of the World. Wraith sighed and said "I'm alone again."

In the hospital, Kira's dad was having a heart attack. "Somebody...... help me!"

Salvatore walked up closer to the center chest. The other four were arranged around the one in a sort of diamond shape. "Wish I could say. Are we supposed to just guess and choose, or ... ?"

It was then that text suddenly blurted out across the chat box. It was in bold red, letting the players know that the announcement was for the event.

On high the clear wind soars true.
Passion fierce like the fires blue.
The soft earth, a molten yellow while the oceans run red.
T'would only be those who are green with envy that know me true.

I reign all. What color is my banner that flutters full?

"What in the hell does that mean?!"

Leonardo walked out of the school as the final bell rang and took out to the steps. As he did this, he was stopped by three girls. The one in the middle seemed to hiding something, he raised an eyebrow and wondered what was going on. "Hey," one of them said, "we have something for you." He lightly pushed one of their friends forward and she hastily handed him a note. He unfolded it and read it: it was a love letter. The girl in the middle looked at him desperately and he flushed in embarrassment. "Umm . . . sorry, but I'm very busy. I'm sure someone else would like to go out with you."

The girl blushed furiously and the friends walked away with her, consoling her. Kamau came up digging in his ear as he swinged his satchel over his shoulder. "Yo, what was that all about?"

Leo shook his head, "I really don't want to know?" He looked over and saw Heather walking towards them with a small group of friends. Kamau waved and Leo waved to, but then realized that he had the love note from the girl in his hand. She stopped in front of them and said, "Hey guys. Hi Leo, what's that?"

He shredded the paper the moment she asked, "Absolutely nothing, eheh <"

Kamau nudged him, "It was some love letter for you, ahahah!!!"

Leo blushed and shrugged him off, "Oh shut-up! You saw those girls when they asked me!"

Heather looked down at the ground slightly, "It's no big deal, we're only friends, ahah. But that was funny Kamau. I have to go to play practice. I'll see you guys online. By guys!" He walked up the stairs and into the school.
As soon as the door closed Leo hopped on Kamau and began to lightly jab at him, "All right, all right bro, joke, ah, joke X-D"

Nero gasped for air as the girl kneeled down and held him. "Are you okay?!" she quickly asked.
"I'm ... okay." Nero replied slowly.
"What happened there? It was as if you were possesed." Nero sat down on the ground and closed his eyes.
"Thank you for saving me..." She said shy. Nero smiled gently and opened his eyes at her. They turned back into the normal deep-red.
"I'm Alicia." she said and smiled.
"Nero." he replied and smiled back. "There's one thing that confuses me though.. Why were you fighting the girl?"

 

Twin Blade Level 14 1/3, Harvest Cleric Level 14 1/3, Macabre Dancer Level 1/3 XP

Leonardo, Heather, and Kamau ran into the opening of the dungeon that was apart of a wide open field with forest boundless and dense. Within the Grey stony walls of the ivy-covered dungeon Leonardo wheeled around and breathed heavily. The other two slid their backs on the wall and sat there, taking a rest. They had encountered a massive amount of enemies and had retreat. Unfortunately, they had been in a field with monsters above their levels (level 17). Leonardo regained his composer and looked back at his allies. "Jeez, looks like we got ourselves into a real ditch. I thought this was for Advanced players!"

Kamau grinned, "Well yeah, it's just that The World is very strict on level damage ratios. We could've held our ground if they were at least 16. But hey, whatever." They been spending hours clearing the long list of Advanced Player fields and clearing the dungeons within them, but this one was giving them a bit of trouble.

 

Adept rouge lvl 8(3/3xp)

Zan ran up to these giant men, they were picking on a low lvl, a new guy it looked like, lvl one. Zan pulled out his sword and ran up from behind one of them and cut his back down the middle. He didn't get hurt like he thought, a hammer slammed into Zan faces and he flew into a wall. He got up and ran at one of the three thugs and jumped up and slashed down on him, he was blocked by his hammer and the second one tackled him to the ground. Zan stabbed him in his neck, the next one was easy as he used an attack he loved, his speed boosted ten fold as he ran and cut him form his chest to shoulder. Next was the guy with hammer, he was bigger and stronger than the other two, but he was just the same level as Zan. He just hoped he didn't lose.

As they went lower and lower into the dungeon Kamau looked to his left then his right then spoke. "Guys . . . does this dungeon seem odd? All we've been doing here was springing traps and solving puzzles. This had better be legit."

As soon as his sentence finished, three plant-like warriors rose in front of the three. They readied their weapons and got into there fighting stances. "Was this what you were looking for Kamau?"

His chakrams flared red and he grinned, "OH YEAH!!!"

 

The doctor charged in and looked at Kira's father. "Oh my god." He turned to the nurse behind him and said "Get me something to calm his heart now!" The nurse nodded and left. She then came back with a syringe full of blue liquid. The doctor put the needle in the father and pushed down on the pull up. "THere you go." He then checked the pulse of the father and then after a few seconds, the doctor sighed. "Hes dead." "Notify his family." The nurse nodded and started dialing a phone.

As Kira was online, the phone started ringing. Kira got up and quickly ran to get the phone. He picked it up and said "Hello." THe nurse from the hospital then said "Hello, is this Kira?" Kira then said "Yes." "WHo is this?" "THis nurse Sayumi of the Karashi Hospital." "I"m sorry to say this but your father...... died." Kira then stood there in shock.

Kamau dodged left and right from the thorny veins of the plant-like monsters and threw his flaming chakrams. They staggered, burned and disappeared. His chakrams snapped into his hands and he proudly brushed his nose his arm. He looked back and grinned at his friends, "That how Macabre's do it, ehhe!"

The two clapped in approval and laughed. They continued into the dungeon and got to its second to last level. It was dark and damp and a giant pit burrowed in the middle as a cracked spiraling staircase went down into its dark depths. Leo threw up a scroll and it beamed with light. He nodded at his friends and they proceeded farther. but as they did Heather's hand brushed on a hidden switch and the area rumbled. "What happened?!" she called out.

They looked behind them and saw the stairs as they slammed into the wall. "Damn it! RUN!!!" Kamau motioned with his hand and rushed down the stairs. Heather and Leo followed. They went fast and hard, bounding down the stairs with complete adrenaline pumping through their veins. They ran down and saw a lingering platform separated from the stairs. Kamau leaped and landed on his feet on the platform, rolling and coming to a stop. He wheeled around and motioned to his friends to hurry, for the stairs were approaching even faster.

Leo leaped forward, arms flailing, feet kicking and landed on his side. He looked over his shoulder and saw Heather running as fast as she could. "Damn, the stairs are moving to fast!" Leo yelled. Heather saw the ledge and prepared to jump. But as she did the last stair swiped from under her feet and her jump was ruined. She cried out as she began to fall. She closed her, fearing the worst, when she had her hand latched onto by Leo. He was hanging over by his waist from the ledge. A hand from Kamau latched onto him and he was pulled on with Heather too. She landed on top of Leo and her head was placed roughly on his chest. She looked up and saw his face and blushed furiously and quickly moved from on top of him.

Leo rubbed his head and spoke, "Jeez Kamau, not so hard next time man. You okay Heather?"

She looked away hiding her red face behind her blond hair, "Y-yes, I'm fine. Thank you for saving me back there!" she finished quickly. Kamau raised an eyebrow and shrugged and dusted himself off. "All right guys, let's get going. We're almost there."

The girl went silent for a while and looked sadly at the ground. "It's okay if you don't want to tell.." Nero quickly said. She let out a small giggle.
"You're kind, but i probebly should.. " she took a deep breath. "My friend... she was killed by that girl..." she said.
