As Sukiko dissapeared, Nero ran towards Zeke's lifeless body lying there in the wastelands. He went on his knees, threw his lance away and tears rained down from his hatred-filled eyes.
He looked at Zeke's neck. Nero pushed away the tie to see what there was.
Zeke had been wearing their symbol all along as an amulet. Two combined winged serpents.
Nero pulled out his own, and stared at them with tears in his eyes. He took a deep breath and stood up while closing Zeke's eyes.
"I will save, my friend.. You will not be distinguished.." he angrily whispered. He took his lance again and held it gently against Zeke's heart.
"May you rest in peace, untill you can be recalled once more.." he said. "Farewell, old friend."
Flames started to form around Zeke's corpse. A burial worthy of kings, some might say.
Nero walked away, fiercely holding onto the amulet.
"I Will.. save you." Nero whispered as a dark power started to brew within him.

The three looked at each other and paused for a moment. "Oh," Kamau began, "my God that was freaking awesome!" He began to jump and prance about cheerfully. Leonardo and Heather laughed and looked at him. Kamau ran up to Leo and gave him a friendly hug, "Dude, that was great! Did you see that move she had? How about mine? YOURS WAS SO BEASTLY!!!" He began shaking him wildly and Leo got dizzy. "Haha, maybe you should stop Kamau," Heather said as she healed the rest of group and restored their health.

With the final field in for beginner's was over, the three went back into Mac Anu and restocked on items and other things that they would need. After that the three sat on the fountain in the center of Mac Anu and watched other players move about. This is really fun.

Johnny was sitting back downat his computer. His sister had anightmare but he calmed her down and turned on the tv for her to watch stuff. He put on his headset and logged in.

Karite appeared in the root town and the first thing he noticed was his outfit waas different. After looking at his reflection in a window, he smiled. Whatever happened, I like my new look. Now to test it out. Karite went over to the gate and input a low level area. He figured it would be best to start out at a small area so that if something was wrong, he wouldn't have as much trouble.

Kira's mom looked at his son and said "Thanks for being here." He turned to her and said "You're welcome, mom." He then hugged her and turned to his dad. "We should get going." "You would want your rest, right dad?" His dad nodded and said "Your mother decided to stay here with me." "You go on home." "Ok?" Kira nodded and said "Ok." He then walked out of the room and left towards the car.

When he got home, he quickly ran up all the way up to his room. He sat down in his computer chair and then sighed. He turned to a picture of his dad and him fishing. He held it up and then sighed again. He then put it down and started logging on to the World. When Wraith was ported to Mac Anu, Yui was standing there reading her Grimoire. She turned to Wraith and said "Wraith!" She ran to him and said "I'm so glad you're here." "..... Wraith." "Are you crying?"

Leonardo and his two friends walked around Mac Anu and conversed with each other for a very long time. He was surprised at how easy it was to speak to people in The World, it actually made him feel a lot more social than ever. He only really spoke to a more closed circle of friends. While he was always up for meeting new people, he still had the oddly instilled habit to only either be by himself or be with friends. The three stopped at the end of the Root Town and looked at the Chaos Gate before them.

Kamau tapped Heather on the shoulder, "Okay, so what's the next thing on this list?" He looked over her shoulder and read along with her.

Heather spoke and Leonardo watched her, she seemed so calm but something else was there, but he couldn't figure it out, "Well, it seems that we've achieve the level of Advanced players according to the BBS online. We have twenty-nine levels before we are on the Intermidiate then ten more for Expert in Mac Anu since it only goes to level 40. Our easiest way to level up is to do the same thing we've always done, going and clearing out fields. However, these new fields have dungeons in them." She looked up and paused to catch her breathe.

Kamau placed his hands behind his head as the two continued to walk about Mac Anu, "So we just gotta keep on fighting monsters and we'll get stronger?"

Leonardo added in sarcastically, "One would think so, eheh."

Karite appeared in a small field area. The goal was simple, kill all the NPCs and then a boss. Karite tried to bring out his scythe again and when it appeared he was shocked to see it had change to. He checked it and found that it was called Death's Touch. Cool. Karite ran up to the nearest enemy and cut it in the face. The creature died in one hit as it took over two hundred damage. Karite opened up his status to see his stats were all upgraded, his best stat being his speed. Karite smiled and figured he'd test just how fast he could go. Karite readied himself and counted down in his head. 3...2...1...GO! Karite took off running and before the enemies could realise he was there he was past them. He rached the boss in a matter of seconds. Karite pulled out his scythe and smiled. "Cool."

Kamau sighed and stopped moving for a second, when his character came back to movement he said, "Hey guys, it's getting late, I'm gonna log off. You guys think we can come back together tomorrow?"

Leonardo nodded, "Sure no problem, I only have tests tomorrow."

    Heather meekly, "Definitely."

"All right then, I'll see you guys later." He slauted to them and logged out.

The two looked at each other and Heather perked and waved, "I'll see you guys tomorrow, bye." She warped out and logged out. Leonardo logged out smiling at the fortune he had of gathering and playing with his friends.

"I can try. My controller wasn't working a moment ago." Gerik answered. He tried pressing some buttons. But nothing seemed to work.

The ogre started moving towards the figure, Azure Kite. As it reached him, Azure Kite defended himself with one of his weapons. Azure Kite never moved from the spot he was standing at. Azure Kite caused a burst that knocked the ogre away. The ogre started moving towards Azure Kite. Azure Kite held out his right hand towards the ogre. Fragments of data formed around Azure Kite's arm. Something charged up in the palm of his hand. And then he fired. A few beams shot out towards the ogre, hitting it directly. The ogre's body faded away. Azure Kite then dissapeared just as suddenly as he appeared.

Once Azure Kite left, Gerik regained control. He revived Salvatore. "Damn. Any clue what the hell that was?"

Leonardo flopped back on his bed and twirled around a miniature Oblivion Keyblade Keychain and thought about what had happened today. He had finally gotten an actual motivation to play The World even more. Even though he had his goal to the become the strongest player in The World, he also knew that to get there he would need the help of his friends. He looked down to the side of his bed to his cat, Mewyu, sitting there meowing. He sighed and patted a place on his bed for the cat to come up. She hopped on his bed and began to purr and meow, she obviously wanted something. "All right, all right, I'm comin'."

Kamau jumped off the last three stairs that lead him downstairs to the living room of his house. Hot damn that was awesome, he thought to himself. That single moment was the most fun he had ever had on The World. He made a goal for himself, to become the best Macabre Dancer in The World but that could wait, when he was having fun, he was having fun.

Heather put on her sleeping clothing and smiled as her puppy, Potts scrambled onto her bed and lay with her. He giggled and rested her hand on the small dog's head and thought about the fun day. Tomorrow she would be going to play practice so she might be able to see Kamau and Leo, it would be nice to see people that she had just played with. She had never met Leo, but she was now somewhat excited to meet a new friend.

Karite was back in Mac Anu. With his new power, he easily ripped through the low level boss. Karite looked around at things and decided he would do the hardest mission he could do in Mac Anu. With that thought, he headed off to the mission board.

Zan had been fighting all day it seemed like, all higher lvls wanted to hit some new people or low levels. He hated it, so he got a group together and tried to fight them off but really didn't work, most were killed or beat to badley to do anything. Now he was know as the low level killer for doing that. It didn't make any sense cause he didn't kill them. Now he had to get out of town and into a hiding spot, then he saw something that he could help with.

Leonardo breathed heavily as he took a long swig of his water and got back onto the field of the field. He motioned to one of the players on his team and he switched sides with one of the other players and moved up. The coach whistled and Leo bound after the player that had the ball. The player shifted over with his foot and popped it up grinning at him. With serious conviction he pivoted his body and zigged into the player, stealing the ball and moving down the field. "Yo Leo!" shouted one of his fellow forwards. He was about to pass it when a forward, the senior that got moved to 2nd Captain slide tackled him and he tumbled over. He slowly got up and dusted himself off, "I'm fine, eheh," he said with a winded smile. The coach blared his whistle and called practice to a close.

As he finished showering and changing his cloathing he heard his fellow teammates talking. "Who the hell does that frosh think he is moving on my postion?"

"Look dude, he earned it all right, nothing sort of it," said one of the players.

"Bullshit, I see the coach watching and smiling, the fucker probably has his as a favorite!" Leonardo frowned spitefully and stormed out of the locker room, shouldering the player hard. "I'm not the kind that plays favorites tool!" The senior grabbed him by the collar and pushed him into a nearby locker. "Oh yeah?! How about my fist slammed you do---" The senior went down hard on the floor and Leo looked His fist was closed and clenched and his tennis racket over his shoulder along with his duffel bag. "Moron," he said angrily. The senior got up slowly and shoved off a helpful hand from one of his friends and Kamau and Leo walked out.

"Jeez man, Freshman that kicks off the 1st Captain of the Varsity Squad? You aiming to hit up the World Cup or somethin'?" He said jokingly.

Leo looked down to the floor as he walked, his voice low, "I didn't kick or take anyone's stuff . . ."

"Look dude, in life there's always someone better than someone else, you're the guy that's better muscle bound tool bag. don't sweat it bro, I got your back. Also, guess whose here?" he ended his sentence with a nudge.

    Leo raised an eyebrow, "Who?"

    ":-| . . . dude, Heather?"

Leo's eyes widened in understanding, "Oooh, sorry <:)"

"Jeez, you gotta pay more attention bro."

"Got a lot on my mind hehe :)" Heather walked up to them and gave each of them a hug. "Hey guys what's up?"

    Kamau shrugged, "I'm cool, you?"

Heather patted away a piece of lint that hung from her volleyball uniform, "Sorry I forgot to change, I had no time <:)" Leo fought hard to hold the urge to blush at her apparel. Damn it, keep it together!

"What was what?" Salvatore asked as he rose to the ground. "Did that player do an illegal attack? I didn't see anything." After a pause he added, "Who is that anyways?" The orange clad player certainly didn't look friendly. The foreboding air that hung around him made the adept rogue feel even more uncomfortable. Turning to his desert clad partner, he said, "Come on, I think we need to get out of here. I don't think we're too far from the end so..."

"I haven't the slightest clue about what happened. What about yourself?" Gerik asked. "When that ogre hit you, it sounded like you were actually hurt. And once you were down, my character froze. But then that player came and saved me." He started walking. "Yeah. Let's hope this quest is almost over. And then hopefully we can tell CC Corp what happened so they can close this quest down."

After watching Heather and their other friend do play practice. Heather came out of the changing room and was greeted by a largely exgerrated wave, "Yo!" called out Kamau. She leaned forward and her face flushed, "Oh my God, you were making lose my focus Kamau! Don't make those awkward expressions."

Leo smiled, "I thought it was great. You're a natural at acting."

Heather's face returned to normal and curtseed, imiating the character she was playing, "Why thank you kind sir," she ended with a slight laugh. "So," she began, "when do you guys want to go back on The World? I got all my work done."

Leo added in, "I got no homework today. Which is really odd."

Kamau placed his hands behind his head and said, "I'll join in with you guys later on. I got some essay to write for AP English, freaking teacher wants us to write about the 'evolutions of american literature' and blah, blah, blah. It won't take me too long."

The two nodded and started off while he headed to go get the rest of his books. Kamau had a habit a forgetting things that proved critical to his academic performance, but he was a great student nonetheless.

Heather and Leo walked down the cafeteria hall that would lead to the main lobby. She looked over to him and asked, "So where do you want to go next in The World when we get there?"

"There's this field with a pretty awesome dungeon I heard for Advanced players. We can check it out and get some easy gold."

"Nice idea!" she said with a kind smile.

He looked at her backpack and noticed a small piece of paper fell. They both went for it and their hands touched (corny I know but whatever ). "Sorry, my bad Heather," he said retreating his hand as fast as he had advanced it. She smiled lightly and picked it up. "So umm . . . what is it?"

"Oh this? It's just a random doodle I made in my notebook. Here." she said handing it to him. It wasn't a doodle, it was more like a drawing to Leo. "Jeez, how much do you draw?"

"I draw a lot, it's what I do when I'm bored at home, which is kind of a lot."

"Well, you got me and Kamau to help you get past that. The World is great."

"It sure is--" she picked around in her pocket and took out a bleeping phone. "It's my mother, she's here to pick me up. I'll see you online Leo, bye for now!"

"Yeah sure, don't forget your doodle," he said holding it out.

"No problem you can have it ;-)"

"I was role-playing," he lied. He needed to. There was no reason to get his friend worked up over it. Besides he sight was nearly all the way back. He could pick out more distinct shapes rather than blobs. "But I agree. C.C. Corp needs to shut this event down."

The two adept rogues burst into a run, heading for the next area where a lone chest sat in the center of the cavernous room. "... Maybe that was part of the event, I mean, doesn't this seem a little too easy for a couple of newbies like us?"

Sion's screen went black for a few moments, then a bright light flashed in his eyes as a giant scythe wielding creature appeared before Karite. He was in awe, that exact thing happened to him! He watched as Karite was touched by the...thing. The screen flickered and they both dissapeared!

    "What was that...wha--"

    Skeith...

    "Wait, what?"

    Skeith. The Terror of Death...

He was frozen by the voice he was hearing. A small black cat approached him.

You, Player Sion, have been chosen by Skeith.

He cocked his head as the cat sat down in front of him. "Wait, you're that cat I saw the other day! Who are you?!"

My name is not important. What matters is what I have to tell you.

Sion couldn't move. He could barely breath. This is just a GAME! Why was he so damn afraid of a tiny black cat?!

Within this world are chose Epitaph Users. Players who can surpass the system. You are one such player. You have been chosen by your Avatar, Skeith, to defend The World from entities that would destroy it.

The creature you saw before you was a remnat of AIDA. An unknown, powerful entity that tried to take control of both the virtual and the real world. Only your Avatar can destroy these remnants, and it is up to you to irradiacte them. Otherwise, both sides of the mirror will be destroyed.

Sion was speechless...almost. "What the hell are you talking about?! I don't even understand what you're telling me!"

All will become clear in due time. For now, you must find the other Epitaph Users, and save out worlds. The cat gave one last yeowl and dissapeared.

Sion got up, and went back to Mac Anu. He saved, then logged out. He had Karite's member address. I've gotta email him. We need to talk...

He sent Karite a message, telling him everything that happned between him and his sister, and after Karite dissapeared.

Leonardo placed down his bag and logged onto The World. He showed up to Mac Anu and looked left and right from the Chaos Gate. He thought that it would be great to go somewhere before the rendezvous with Heather. He walked around but then bumped into someone and the two fell over. "Eek!' squeaked Heather, "I so sorry!"

Leo laughed and scratched his head, "It's fine, it's fine, what's up?"

Karite had chosen a mission and was going to head to the Chaos Gate but figured he'd first check his stats, he wanted to know the exp. he got from those NPCs. "What?!" he yelled as he saw he got nothing. He didn't receive a single exp point. His level and stats had jumped when he encountered that... thing, but since then nothing new had happened. Maybe its the new scythe. Or maybe that thing scrambled my profile when my appearance changed. Either way Karite was determined to figure out what was going on. Thats when he heard a beeping noise,he had received an e-mail. Karite sat down on a bench and started reading it.

A few minutes later and he sent a reply back. We need to talk, I barely get what was in your message. Meet me here: Hidden Forbidden Radiation. Karite sent the message and then headed off to the area he specified.

"I doubt it. Never once have I heard of CC Corp creating an area with a monster that had the strength of something at a much higher level." Gerik said, walking towards the chest. He then added "And what are the odds of my controller malfunctioning right as you were hit?" Gerik reached the chest. When he did, he saw that there were four more. "Which one do you think it is?"
