((OOC- I've made a couple of decisions for potential Epitaph Users. You're all doing a great job! Keep it up! I'm also making a .Hack/World/ Disscussion thread so that we can clear up any confusion in the RP, and you can ask whatever questions you may have.))

Quest Name- Time's Requiem

Goal- Be Chosen by the Goddess of Time!

Area- Hidden Forbidden Chosen One

Recommended level- 3

Reward- Job Extension for Adept Rouge. Or a special weapon for Weapon Specific Jobs.

Admin - Nero: Level 12! . and Zeke: Level 11!

As Zeke held the gun pointed at Karite's Face he grinned evily. But then the evil grin turned back into the laid back old smile again. "Thanks, man." He warmly said. "I'm not gonna kill you, don't be scared. I just wanted to see who was the stronger one." he said and put away his gun.
"Obviously we're equally matched" When he saw Karite lift an eyebrow he showed the small wound karite gave him on his chest from the last Wicked Strike. Nero put off his headphones and the dome was unsommoned.
"Nice job of staying alive there, Karite." he said while putting his hoodie back on over his wild blond hair.
"Hope we can come together again some time. Y' know."
A small noise could be heard from Nero's watch ingame.
"Hmm.. Looks like an Event, guys."

 

Level up! Now level 11!

Karite put away his scythe as Zeke explained everything. Karite was confused but just glad Zeke hadn't fired, from the position he had him in Karite would've lost. But intsead he just nodded and smiled. "Bye." he said as he continued on with the dungeon, heading on to floor four.

"Taaaaakeshiiiiii!" His sister's voice came thundering up to his room.

"Uuugh. Man...what time is--" He looked at his clock and nearly flew off the side of his bed. "ITS AFTER 2 PM?!" He scrambled out of bed, got dressed and rushed down the stairs to find a girl waiting for him in the kitchen

"Jeez bro, I thought you'd never wake up." Ami said. "You sleep like a hibernating bear."

He grinned sheepishly. "Uh, hi Riko."

Riko Nagatania.
Takeshi's first girlfriend. They've known each other for several years, but just started dating. They have so much in common that it scares most people. Just one slight difference. She hates "The World". She's tried to get Takeshi to stop playing the game several times. He's just too amusing to let go for a stupid game.

She gave him her usual greeting. A back breaking bear hug. "So, you won't get up for you girlfriend? Some gentlman you are." She crossed her arms and turned from him. "Well you know what? Psh on you. Psh on you."

He hugged her from behind. "Oh come on, you know I'm a deep sleeper. Besides, I am taking you out today."

She smiled and turned back to him. "So you remembered. Seeing as how you've been asleep most of the day, I thought you forgot."

Ami rolled her eyes. "You know, I'm going to leave this scene and rehearse for the next one. So see ya. Nice seein' ya Riko."

"Right back atcha sis!" She grabbed Takeshi's hand. "Well, lets go. It too pretty outside today to stay in here."

 

Twin Blade Level 5 0/3 XP

Reo slowly opened the door to his dorm room and entered. He placed his clothing in his hamper and took a shower and washed up again for the second time of the day. He sat down in his chair and inserted his copy of The World into his desktop. The welcome screen dimmed on and he gently placed his visor over his eyes and entered the game. He was surprise to note that he had risen two levels while he was at school. "Cool as Hell." he thought to himself as he was taken to Mac Anu and stepped out of the Chaos Gate. He continued to walk when he spotted a brown cloaked figure, like on he had seen in a game called Kingdom Hearts. "Maybe it's some sort of quest." As he walked towards the being he could hear it mumbling something. He realized that his volume was turned to 45%. He cranked it up to 100% on the Master Volume and listened closely, leaning forward. "Rising the wake . . . rising the wake . . . rising the wake . . ." the N.P.C. worded over and over. He looked back to see if anyone else had heard this but when he turned around, he saw that the N.P.C. was gone. He clicked the confused emote and his character scrathed his head and titled it slightly to the side. "What was that all about?" he wondered and continued on, not really thinking about it.

 

Admin - Nero: Level 12. 1/3 Exp . and Zeke: Level 11. 1/3 Exp

As they left the dark level, Nero checked his watch again. " Be chosen by the goddess of Time?" he asked Zeke. "That's a weird mission. Well it's certainly our level" he continued when Zeke lifted his shoulders. "You got that right." Zeke said. " We leveled like hell!
But.. Tommorow school starts again" he murmured angrily.
They went towards the Chaos Gate, ready for a new mission. One last mission before school

 

As they kept walking further, they were ambushed by some creatures. Wraith took them out quickly with his broadsword and then leveld up. "I'm now a level 4." "Cool." Yui looked at him and said "Good job Wraith." "I'm proud of you." ".....Wraith. Are you ok?" "You seem distant." She was right. He was distant. This is because he was kept thinking about the dream last night. "Yui?" "Yes Wraith?" "Did the ancient stories of the world ever told of black flames?" Yui nodded and said "Yeah." "Why?" He shook his head and said "Never mind." "Lets keep moving foward."

 

As Karite descended into the final chamber he looked around. There was one chest in the center of the room on an alter. The walls were decorated with pictures of strange creatures. As Karite approached the alter, the chest vanished. Before he could do anything else a blue flame dome erected itself around the alter trapping Karite inside. He pulled out his scythe and backed up onto the alter. From outside the dome a large creature walked in. It looke like one of the pictures on the walls. From behind him, another entered the dome. Karite knew what was happening by this point, the chest was guarded. To get the chest to reappear and for him to live, Karite had to kill all the monsters. He gripped his scythe as a third walked in. There were five drawings, so unless the game spawned more, then I have to kill five enemies. Judging from appearance, I'd say these things are mid-boss level. Oh well, time to fight. Karite leapt towards the nearest enemy. "Lotus Flower."

 

Admin- Nero: 12. 2/3 Exp. And Zeke: 11. 2/3 Exp

As they were walking towards the gate, Nero's thoughts started to ponder off.
"Hey Zeke. You read the news this yesterday?" he asked.
"Dude, do i ever?" Zeke replied grinning
"Yeah dumb question" They both laughed.
"Well, it was about this guy who had been playing this game. He fell into some sort of coma." Nero continued.
"Why are you telling me this? The guy was probebly clinging to his screen for months! You still have those people."
"I thought you might Find it interesting." Nero said
"... Man, you know i'm gonna keep anyway, why bother?"
"I know. You're just to mind-fucked already to even care." Nero laughed. They had been friends for ages. He just didn't wanna lose his friend..

 

As they continued deeper into the cavern, Wraith kept quiet for the whole time. Yui was worried about this. "Wraith." "Are you sure you're ok?" "You can tell if theres anything wrong." Wraith shook his head and said "No." "I'm ok." Yui then looked sad that he said that. "Ok then, if you say so." As they kept getting to the end, the saw a bunch of creatures guarding a chest in front of the wall ahead of them. Wraith pulled out his sword and Yui got her spells ready. Wraith looked at her and said "Lets go." SHe nodded and used her water spell again. Then Wraith started slashing them down. After a few more seconds of their attacks, the creatures were defeated. Wraith put away his sword and opened the chest. 4 potions appeared. "More potions." "Yui, you take them." Yui looked at him and said "Are you sure?" Wraith nodded and said "Ok then." She grabbed the potion and put them in her inventory. They then kept walking on.

 

Karite quickly leapt back after an attack hit where he was a moment ago. He had only killed one of the five and now the other four were attacking so much he could barely find an opening. Karite ducked as a laser went over his head. "Wicked Strike!" Karite launched an attack right at anothers legs, causing it to fall over. As Karite ran up to deal the finishing blow he was punched by a nearby monster and thrown back. Karite checked his hp only to find that the attack had done a lot of damage to him. He was about to use a potion when he had to run again as another attack came. This is nuts. If I manage to actually win, this chest had better be worth it.

 

Admin- Nero: 13! And Zeke: 12!

"Funny thing is, it's actually True!" Zeke said and they bursted into laughter again.
When they finally dimmed down and refound balance Nero said just à few, but powerful words:
"Just don't die, Ruben."
"I won't"

 

Level up! Now level 12!

Karite ducked low from another hit as he used a potion. Before he could move, he was hit again. He flipped through the air from the hit but Karite smiled, he could use this to his advantage. As Karite came down near a monster he activated his aerieal special, "Lotus Flower!" The attack collided with the monsters skull and killed it. A Lotus to their heads and they drop. So I just have to stay up. When Karite landed he rolled to avoid a new attack and quickly jumped back up. He landed on a monsters back and jumped up higher. "Lotus Flower!" Karite yelled as the attack slew the monster he jumped off. Only two left.

 

As they kept walking in the cave, Yui kept watching Wraith. "There has to be something wrong." "I just wonder why he won't tell me." "Maybe in fact, he doesn't trust anyone." "Maybe hes like me." She then sighed and said outloud "Wraith?" "Are you in pain?" Wraith looked back at her. "No." "I'm not." "Why do you ask?" She looked away and said "Well, I said that because I'm worried about you." "You look sad and distant." "Why?" Wraith stopped and turned fully to her. "Its because of this dream I had." "Theres no need to worry." "I'm fine." Yui smiled and said "Thank goodness, I was worried." "So, what was this dream about?"

 

Admin Adept Rogue lvl 5 (1/3 xp)

"Wha-? Really? Thanks a lot!" The two of them traded quickly and Salvatore grinned. The two of them walked out of the beast temple and gated out. As the light around him vanished a PM emblem popped up. "Hold on a second." Though he didn't have any friends who he could talk to a lot -with the exception of Gerik now. At least he hoped- the adept rogue did have contacts who updated him about events. When his eyes flashed across the screen, reading the message, he smiled. "Looks like we're in luck! Come on there's an event. Rumors have it that there's a job extension for Adepts!"

 

Wraith told her the dream he had last night. "So there was a giant scythe and black flames?" Wraith nodded and said "Yeah." "The scythe stabbed me in the chest and said accept the power of lonliness." "Then it put me on fire and then bam, I woke up." When he was done talking, she stood there with a questioning look on her face. "I wonder what this means?" "Why a scythe and black flames?" "Why did it talked to you?" "Maybe it has a connection to you or something." Wraith shook his head in disagreement and said "I doubt it." "I never saw the scythe or the flames before in my entire life." "Maybe I'm going crazy or something." Yui shook her head and said "No." "You aren't." "You were probably having a nightmare or something." "You should be fine." Wraith sighed and said "I hope so." "But the dream....it seems so real."

 

"Lotus Flower!" Karite screamed as he attacked another monster and killed it. Last one. Karite quickly ran behind the monster but before he could attack it, the monster spun around and kicked him away. A quick status check told Karite he was down to three hp, a rock falling on his toe could kill him. As worried as he was, his situation got worse as he saw he was out of healing items. Karite rolled out of the way of another attack as he tried to stay alive. It's all down to who hits first. Karite jumped up as it tried to kick him again. It quickly threw a boulder at him and as Karite had now way to dodge he dug his scythe into the large rock and with a mighty yell, spun the boulder back at the monster. It shattered on it's head but Karite wasn't taking any chances. He moved in for the kill as the monster aimed a punch at him. "Lotus Flower!"

 

Adept Rouge Level 4 1/3

"A job extension? That quick? Dang." Gerik smiled. He just started and he has the chance to gain a second weapon. "Let's get going." Gerik walked up to the platform and warped back to town. "We have to go to the Quest Shop, right? To accept any quests available."

 

Wraith sighed and said "Come on." "Lets get going." He got up and started walking again with Yui. They kept walking for a minute until they finally found another chest. He opened it out and found a dagger. "Sweet." He equipped it and looked at Yui. "Lets keep moving. SHe nodded and they kept going. After a few more minutes, the appeared outside of the cave. They look around and Wraith said "Great." "WE're out." "Lets go moving."

 

Karite was gasping for breath. The monster was before him, dead. It ws slowly reverting back to code as the blue flame dome slowly died out. The chest reappeared in a small flash of white. Karite straightend himself and walked up to it. With a small motion the chest opened up, within it was a piece of paper and a large sack of gold. He took the gold and the paper. A Chaos Gate opened up ahead of him so without waiting another moment, Karite ran back to Mac Anu.
