There can't be any argument with Christianity being called a religion. It fits the definition of religion. People who adhere to the religion should also use it to influence their lifestyle, but just because some do so, doesn't make it suddenly not a religion.

No, I didn't imply anything. I found a quotation that interested me, and posted a response that others had made regarding it.

The free will response I mentioned goes something like this:

This doesn't explain all types of evil (like natural disasters). There are some other types of defenses I've seen, namely that for some forms of good to exist, evil has to as well. For example, in order for compassion to exist, suffering has to as well. Bravery is only valuable if there is danger. And so on.

    My source

I posted this question concerning evil up because I don't have an answer, and I was curious to see what others thought about it. Why do you think evil exists, if there is an omnipotent, benevolent God?

Only the people who claim to be a Christians and aren't living it out in there own life consider it a religion. True Christianity, Born Again Christians, are living the true way by dieing to their sinful nature and trying to live according to what Christ would want us to live, but this does not mean that we live a perfect life, that is why we ask God for forgiveness.

lulz. First you say that Christianity is not a religion. Religion consists of the faith in God and Christ. Then you begin to brag about God and the Christ and you mess the two things together. In my opinion -> Religion and Lifestyle cannot be individuals of the Christianity which makes the lifestyle of Christians come from the rules of the bible.

I'm stopping my arguments to this, since there's no point in doing this over and over again, making this a pointless discussion.

    //
Quite the fucknut, eh? Claiming that you're right about this makes you seem pretty pathetic, you just think you're right. No no, you insist you're right. That ain't a way to discuss anything and claim that you're right without proper sources of information that prove your points right.

That's why you're not good at argumenting.

It's only pointless to you because you can't argue with me about what i'm right about.
    -Discussion over-
If I am a Christian, the fact is you can't really argue with what they believe, get my motive? I don't mean to affend you but that's just all I can say.

I hate the whole concept of religion and have turned my back on my faith, but that doesn't "un-baptise" me, I'm still Christian

I'm not baptised but that doesn't mean that i'm not a Christian. So no you can't be un-baptised.

Just saying that you can't really argue against someone who is what your argumenting about. Not to affend you but I have nothing else to argue about.

Are you referring to be baptised as a baby?

  10. Avalantos

    Avalantos Mr. Detective

being baptised in general, it makes no difference when you were baptised. If you arent baptised you not Christian.

If you live in acordance to the bible but havn't been baptised it makes you Like a Christian. Emphasism on Like, thus it doesn't make you a Christian.

Stop making a tawt of yourself and GTFO my Forum.

It does matter when your baptised because when your a baby, you don't make the choice, your parents do. When your older and understand it more and are baptised then YOU are making the choice to be reborn in Christ. Being sprinkled on your head isn't being truely baptised, you have to be submerged in water to be truely baptised. Baptism is the repeat of you coming out of the womb which was in water, get it ^^. So if you wanna listen to my argument thats fine, i'm out.

Your just trying to change the subject and ignoring my main statement so once again.

1.If you are not baptised you are not Christian, if you have been your are Christian.

    Direct deffinition of Christianity:

1.One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

    Christianity

If you believe in christ then you are a christian. There are tons of religions under the category of Christianity:
    Mormon
    Catholic
    Baptist
    Lutheren

This is the only point I want to say because I thought everyone knew this fact.

Some forms of Christianity baptise babies, some do not. While I think it is probably more meaningful to wait until the child is old enough to choose and understand, I don't think that makes the infants any less baptised.

And I don't think that many people do total immersion baptisms anymore. I don't believe that it is the act so much as what it stands for. A sprinkle of water or a total dunking- I think it's more what's in your heart that counts.

@summonerbrandon and dark knight Genesis, if you don't have something meaningful to add, get out. I'm tired of spam in the debate threads.

-____- I said at the end what do you guys think of Hinduism Toph. Reread. Anyways, I don't know if it's good to baptize babies anyways, but I think that it's better for the child to get older. As for Hinduism, I think it's ok. Weird drawings, but makes it all the more interesting.

You're kinda doing spam since you're not making any kind of points there or something that would be called a "debate"... mind me, just saying.

I was baptised and nowaday I wouldn't give a damn about being baptised or not. It would be a wise decision to let the child choose either to be baptised or not - some people I know did it just before turning 14.

    Period.

I can read just fine, summonerbrandon. What does that have to do with the discussion taking place right now? And you just threw that on last minute anyhow.

Every Hindu is probably cringing at that assessment of their religion. As for what I think about it, I don't, generally. It's a valid religion like all of the others out there, and one of the largest. I'd have to do some real research on it to have a worthwhile opinion.

Everyone has misconseptions of religion. Before mocking their art SB I would point out I laugh every day about things people think of my own faith and whatever yours is I'm sure its the same. But bringing up Hindu so randomly was what they ment when they said 'spam' along with the fact that your post was only half of a sentence.
