Link woke up to a cold and wet feeling nudging his face. I...I can't open my eyes Link thought to himself. Link flexed his fingers and then his arms to see if they were still mobile. My arms appear to be fine. "Gaaaaaaaah!!" Link said as he tired to move his legs. They were trapped under something heavy, and from the pain something had pierced his leg. Link gave up on his legs for the moment and lay back down. Trying his eyes again Link managed to get them open but his vision was blurry. Link could feel something pushing against the side of his leg attempting to get under whatever had fallen on him. Realizing what the thing was trying to do Link sat up and began to push. With a great amount of effort they finally managed to get the object of his legs. Link dragged himself so that he was resting against a wall. Link couldn't remember much of what happened, but he felt tired, extremely tired. Links closed his eyes and soon drifted off.

    ********

Link awoke to sun shining in his eyes. Lifting up his arm to shield his eyes Link noticed that his sleeve had been completely torn off. Remembering the pain he had felt Link looked down at his legs. His left leg was severely bruised but other than that it seemed fine. His right leg had been bandaged with his torn sleeve. It had been done very sloppy, so whoever had done it was either in a rush or not very good with there hands.

"Mom?, Dad?" Link called suddenly remembering that he they had been attacked. Link staggered to his feet and slowly made his way towards the stairs. He saw that they had been blocked off by rubble from the collapsed roof. Link then continued his search around the surrounding area. After been unable to find them Link went to the one building in the town that was left standing. Link pushed in the door to the shop and made his way inside. "There are still a good selection of items in here" Link said quite pleased.

After equipping him self with what he could and getting some rest Link headed out of the shop. Link had begun walking for quite some time now. He thought he could hear someone or something following him. Whatever it was it obviously meant him no harm so he paid it no attention. "I may be able to get some answers on what's going on out there" Link said to himself as he took his first steps on his new journey.

The dark haired woman growled and shoved Ben a bit as she walked past him back to her original place next to the bridge "Calm down kid she's fine."

Nalia looked a little annoyed as well but more at the situation than anyone in particular "Ben I'm fine. Mark has been helping me. I dont think he wants to harm me..." she looked at Mark "Though I am curious. Where are we going anyway? You never did tell me."

"I'd rather not speak it while he's around." Mark said, speaking about Ben. He moved to Nalia. He whispered in her ear so Ben couldn't hear. "The Arbiter's Grounds. Out in the Gerudo Desert." He turned back in Ben's direction. He was still holding his sword. "I'd rather get going. Boy, you do realize that the longer you waste our time, the higher a chance Nalia has of getting caught. You are aware of that, right?"

Ben nodded at Nalia. "Good, I'm glad he hasn't harmed you." He then turned to Mark. "Exactly. That's why we have to leave now. You can't talk me out of this. I promised Nalia I would protect her, no matter what. And I never break a promise to a friend." Ben said, looking over at Nalia. "Never." he finished, leaning against the wall.

Nalia looked a bit suprised. She glared 'Its about time I said something.' she thought to herself as she looked at Ben. "Ben, I watched my father die last night and watched my mother mortally wounded before I nearly lost my life myself. I dont want to put anyone else I love in danger. Thats why you have to stay here." she said after a moment.

The blind woman didn't look suprised by this responce. "And ergo a voice of reason comming from the quietist. I'm going to stay neutral on this one. After you three work this out, let me know." she said as she began walking toward the other side of the bridge. Nalia had a feeling she was still listening though.

Ben rounded on Nalia. "The fact that you nearly lost your life is the reason I think I should go along with. No offense to him," Ben gestured to Mark, "But do you know him? Or trust him at all? I think it will be good to have someone you know along side with you. Just to be safe. Please Nalia." he pleaded.

It took Link longer than he had expected to leave his once peaceful town. As he was travelling towards the only exit he had to hide from what appeared to be goblins. There were about five of them and Link guessed that they had been searching the town for valuables. He had to shadow them for about a half hour. Twice he thought he caught when the goblins turned around but he realized that they were watching for something, and if it worried the goblins it probably wasn't good for Link.

There's the exit Link thought to himself After what seemed like an eternity following the goblins. As soon as they move ill make a brea... Links thoughts were interrupted by what could only be described as a loud sheerking. He couldn't tell were it was coming from, And the goblins seemed nervous. Three of them drew bows and arrows and the other two drew heavy wooden clubs. Not that they did the goblins any good. If Link had blinked he would have missed it, a beast what Link thought was a dragon. It flew by so fast and picked up a goblin in its mouth and its...talons?

Talons? Link thought to himself That can't be right.
The beast made another round this time getting one in its mouth and two in its talons.
Link waited around what seemed to be ten minutes. Nothing.

Im going to have to risk it Link thought to himself.

Link made a break for the exit.

Nalia shook her head "No I dont know him. But if he had any ill will in mind, he would have done it by now." she pointed out. She ignored the slight smile that came in responce from the blind woman. She didn't like her. There was an odd vibe about her.

The mystery woman didnt stay out of the conversation for too long before she was back next to Nalia and Mark "Whatever you decide Nalia, you should hurry. Bad things happen in this feild after dark." she pointed out.

Ben turned to the woman, already giving up. "Then you guys leave." he turned back to Nalia. "I see how it is. Leave the poor street urchan and go off to seek more fame. If that's what it's come to, then so be it. I'll leave and get out of your hair." He turned and gave Mark one last look before walking past the old woman and down the bridge. Part of him screamed to turn around, but he faced forward, not trusting himself to look back at his best friend.

    Nalia bit her lip.

The other woman just leaned against the wall of the bridge, folding her arms. She really didn't care one way or the other just so long as they hit the road soon.

"Ben!" Nalia called after her friend.

As Link came out in the open, the creature in the sky immediately took notice of him and with a loud sound, dove toward him.

A wolf like dog jumped out of nowhere, with a growl, jumped into the creature. The wolf and the bird both crashed through the wall of one of the buildings.

Ben stopped and turned slowly, throwing an indifferent expression over his face. "What do you want? Make it quick. I don't want to slow you down any farther than I already have." he said, trying to keep the hurt out of his voice. "Haven't you said what you wanted to say already Nalia?"

Link was stunned when the wolf jumped out at the creature.

Why would it do that Link asked himself as he began running towards the town were the creature and the wolf had collided into a building. Link saw that he would have to cross a bridge to get into the town and then he saw four people standing at the bridge. One guy seemed totally oblivious to what had happened and Link wasn't prepared to slow down to avoid colliding with him. Instead Link jumped and turned his shoulder into the man. He hit the in the back and as Link had predicted the man took the power from the collision which sent him sprawling to the ground. Link had landed on his feet and began running again this time slowing slightly so as to miss hitting into a young woman who the man who Link had just hit must have been talking to.

Link passed the woman barely grazing her shoulder. He continued running into the town and stopped.

"What's going on here?" Link said aloud looking around. The town seemed completely deserted and somewhat dull. "I wonder if they were attacked by the same creatures that attacked my home"

There was a sudden howling and Link drew his sword and shield. The creature suddenly burst out heading straight towards Link followed by the Wolf. The creature which could only be described as some sort of bird appeared to be injured. Link didn't know what he was doing but he began charging the creature.

"Raaaghhhhh" Link shouted as he sidestepped the creatures open mouth and stuck his sword into it slicing its side as it flew pass. The creature fell with a thump to the ground. Link turned to see the creature struggling on the ground. The wolf suddenly ran past Link and jumped at the creatures throat.
The creature then seemed to disappear into darkness. The wolf then turned to Link howled and then disappeared into the town somewhere. Link thought of pursuing it but his legs didn't seem to move.

*Epicly sorry about the late reply. TBA I forgot about this for a while. >.<*

Nalia shook her head "Dont be like that Ben." she said, trying to not cry.

Tapping Mark on the sholder the seemingly blind woman said "I think we're listening in on a conversation we have no place in. Walk with me. scouting ahead may be a good thing and you can watch to make sure nothing bad happens over there just as well as right here."

"Sure." Mark glared. "But I'm getting tired of interruptions. All it leads to is more waiting. And eventually, more dissapointment. We both know he can't come. Everything becomes messed up from interference. He's not the right Hylian male to be around. The hero lives elsewhere."

Geyna nodded "Of course we wont let him come. But if we pull Nalia away without getting to say her goodbyes to her friend then she wont really trust you that well I dont think." she shrugged "And on another note, if you're searching for the 'hero'." she emphasised the word hero kind of sarcasticly "I can tell you I've seen him." she didn't bother explaining he was one of the few people who knew what she meant when she said 'seen' even though she was blind "And can tell you a trip to the woods would be a waste of time."

"Wasn't planning on it." Mark replied. "Just heading in one direction. Past the lake. The pieces are drawn together. As long as Nalia is safe, there is nothing to worry about. Eventually the hero will make his way to us. And then there is the third piece. But no need to worry about that. Everything will take care of itself."

Ben shook his head. "I can already tell you have all you need. After all, you're a princess. Adventure runs in your blood. I can understand that. Just promise me that you will be careful. And not do anything stupid to hurt yourself." Ben tried to smile at Nalia, but failed. So he shrugged and turned back around.

Link soon regained his composer. He had to think of what to do next. He considered turning back to those people he had seen at the entrance of the town, but decided against it. He had to find out what to happened to the people of his town and his family.

Link cleaned his sword on a piece of cloth that he had in his pocket and then sheathed his sword. I guess ill ask around the town if people have been noticing anything different.

"What!?" A barmaid said in surprise and what sounded like disgust at the lack of Links knowledge. "You hadn't heard that the King was killed and the princess is missing!" She said to him. "Your not from around here are you?" She then asked Link

"No I come from Ordon village. It was recently attacked by some dark creatures"

"Dark creatures?" She said. "I wouldn't know anything about that. What's your name handsome"

"Link" He replied. "Well Link if you have questions about the outside world I would suggest you talk to those travellers over there." She said pointing to a group of three guys who say at a table drinking.

"What use would those old farts be" Link said annoyed. "OLD FARTS!" The barmaid said a little louder than she intended to. "Those men are the greatest explorers alive to this date." She informed him regaining her composer. "At least go talk to them."

"Alright" Link said as he got up from the counter and headed towards them.

"Excuse me" Link said "The lady at the bar tol.." Shh" One of the men said to him. "Pardon?" Link said "Shh" He repeated. He then indicated that Link should come closer to him with his finger. Link was slightly hesitant at first but then he saw a look in the man's eyes and Link knew that he could trust him. The old man then whispered something to Link and handed him something under the table.

"That should help with were your going" He said to Link. And with that Link left the bar headed for his next destination.
