But the post that Kairi Star made is older than that and I think that discussion about that should be dropped to that. And even that it would be two weeks old, there's been enough negativies to that discussion.

If you've got problem with this anymore, contact me either VM or PM.

    Continue.

I find no fascination in the Religion or in the faith to believe in God or neither Jesus. I have no interest spend my Sundays in a church where people have chosen the stupidity to serve a person who we have never seen, and the only "proof" of him/her is on an thousand years old book that anyone could have written. Even a bum that needed money for more alcohol.

Oh. The bible's pages are PERFECT paper to roll a cigarette.

And what then... hmm. I just don't want to spend my time on that gibberish. :'D It's really sad to see that people have faith in a person that we will never see or can't have any proof of his existence. And yet, still they pray and believe. I pity you and spit on your graves.

    I feel u man.
I felt the same way. I was Lutheran, born and raised, about 4 years ago I really started questioning things, and then someone talked to me about other religiongs in the world. I went into deep study of ancient mythologies and religions. Now this was a while back, and I havent been as studious for over a year now, haha. But thats becuz what i found lead me to the conclusion that to find the purpose of our existence, to find the reason why we are alive is TO LIVE YOUR LIFE!!

Now, i see you look around at religion and scourn it as something evil.
I will tell you that you are right....but only half way.
It is not god or religion that is evil, it is people that are evil.
I already explained this on the last page, so i think u will understand what i mean by that. The way you are looking at god, religion, and the church is like someone blaiming a gun in a murder. But the gun is not to blaim, no. It is the person who pulled the trigger.

In such a way, man has, over the years, twisted and turned the words of the Bible and other religious texts to fit his own needs.
This is not the truth, as we know noz. We know that such things are lies, such things are true evil. For a lie will look so much more pleasing than the truth, because the truth is ugly.
All I ask from u is that u not direct you anger at the gun, but at the people who pull the trigger. They ought to be hated. Not god.
If you listen to my words, you will find a god or gods some day. Our Creator will work his/her way back into your heart. But you must let him/her in, and to do so, you must relieve our Creator of your hatred. Hate those who have caused all this trouble. Hate the people that pull the trigger.

Sorry to tell you man, you can't turn me. Any "God" that will try to find a way to my heart, it's not possible since I have agreed that such thing doesn't exist.

And you know. I don't need a religion for any of my needs. IF I would accept and follow a religion once again, it would get me into a situation, yet again, that I would think that what the hell am I just doing.

And in the end, man is a God of his or her own life. This is all I say to this subject, since I lost interest in it.

i'm not trying to convert you to a religion at all. Why would I? I dont even belong to a religion. I agree with some religions views, and disagree with them on others. But i belong to no specific religion, for the same reason you do.

But i do not deny ther is a god. I am a deist. I believe that there is a god or gods out there. I use physics, astronomy, and mathmatical formula to conclude in a logical pychological explanation of why we exist.

And apart of my conclusion is that there is a being of power that has made all of this for a specific purpose.

:( But... what about those, even if they're christians, comes up to you & regardless of who you are, still want to lend a hand to make you stronger? Would you still spit on them & try to take them down for that? What about me? Do you want to spit on me because of me believing in God's words & want to use those words to help people like you in order to help you no matter what? Do you ever ask yourself what if this is true? Do you even come to church & see why christians like me pray to God, why we speak to him with our spirits, & why do we speak in tongues?

And speaking of tongues, let's not forget the tower of Babel. The whole thing is ludicrous(SP?), considering the fact that they're basically saying all the languages of the world resulted from man getting too high and mighty. How languages came into being was man needing a way to communicate - different areas apart from eachother made up their own language, resulting in different languages. End of story.

You don't need to go to church to see why people choose to follow a religion. Why they pray to this God or that.

That's fine. There are other religions that don't devote themselves to one God or even Gods. Buddhism is a good example. It's not about higher beings in a plane that we cannot see, its about becoming enlightened and understanding that you understand nothing in the world.

Now, now take a step back before you call them stupid. It's not stupidity that drives them -although some would beg to differ-. The purpose of serving others in life is a very respectable thing to do. Weather you choose to do it because there is a God that promises eternal heaven or because it is who you are. Religion at its core is very respectable. I say this because if you take away all scripture, all the rolls of Gods and Goddesses, you are left with one uniform function. To serve the betterment of mankind in hopes of bringing around peace. However, this message is lost between arrogance and blind faith. I would recommend not hating people because they choose a faith, and instead choose to understand why they did.

I'll remember that they burn well should I ever need a fire.

I'm assuming you refer to it as gibberish because you don't agree with it. Yes some religions might not be well thought out because the founders didn't expect future generations to rebel and think differently, but no one can foresee the future. Again don't say its sad. It's not. It's perfectly understandable.

Saying that just because we cannot see someone or something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Look at air. You cannot see it, or actually feel it. We can feel the effects of it when it is blowing over us, we can define its existence based on science, but for hundreds of thousands of years it just was. No one really questioned why they lived. I am referring to the age when man was nothing more than a humpbacked neanderthal. Because it is more than likely they did not think like this. However I am perfectly capable of being wrong.

....please, just shut up. Its the yuppy stuff your saying that makes him not like Christianity. Why didn't u pik that up?? I'm not saying i dont agree with u neccesarily, but your tactic at converting Athiests is terrible.
The tower of Babel actually makes a bit of sense. It says God separated man through languages and so that man as a whole could never become so strong as to do something like the Tower of Babel. Now, i have my own view of what the story really means, but if u apply a certain element to the story of "The Tower of Babel", then you'll truly understand what its all about.

What pre tell would make us so strong that the high and Almighty God trembles before our power of connecting that a simple tower -- mind you one that most likely cannot even penetrate into the realm of Gods -- would pose a threat?

Also how about the two of you not tell the other to "Shut up" because telling the other to shut up will get neither of you any where except into more arguing about how/why you shouldn't shut up.

Nonono, The myth was about man challenging god. And so, He smi- Er. . . made them all speak different languages. And that's how babies were made! But no, seriously. The Babel myth doesn't explain those isolated tribes out in Australia and Africa that had never had contact with society until the 1600's (?).

Sigh. Your right. ??? I thought the Tower of Babel was made to go to Heaven & God had to twist their tongues & make them speak different languages so we won't be able to understand one another & it's only because he wants to show us that their is no shortcuts to heaven.

That's why it's called 'Faith.' It's a gamble. Can we prove God exsists? No. Can we prove God doesn't exsist? No. You can try, but in the end, proving He does or doesn't exsist is impossible because we cannot be 100% sure. We can be 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure. But until we die, we'll never know for sure.

Many people have said this before in their lives, and end up worshipping God. I'm not saying it'll happen to you, but.... How to say this right.... I suppose 'God works in mysterious ways' is a way of saying that. Maybe one day you'll suddenly believe in God or some supreme being. The future is anybody's guess.

God didn't tremble because humans tried making a tower to reach Heaven. God punished humans because they became too arrogant and started thinking that they could reach Heaven by themselves (Or something along those lines. I don't remember the story).

    I have two possible explanations.

    1. The Tower of Babel might have been worked on when the number of humans were much fewer, so all of humanity was in one place.

    2. All humans, reguardless of where they were at the time, started speaking different languages because of God.

From what you're saying Moogle, it all boils down to when these isolated tribes first came into exsistance, and if they were already isolated by the time the Tower of Babel had started to be built.

XD Which is why we can't understand why those who speak spanish be speaking way too fast. Anyways, why worship Satan? That's what I don't understand.

Has someone said that they worship Satan? For myself, as I think that religion is not what I want to believe in, so I don't believe or worship Satan.

I do make fun of that character a much of this "God". I do not believe in neither one, so I'm not a worshiper of Satan.

it sounded like you were trying to convert. He obviously doesnt like christianity, and is taking it out on religion as a whole.

    1. your twisting my words like a lawyer man. Catch yourself, don't do it again. Becuz I WILL NOTICE!
i never gave any inclanation that god feared us, it is as DW says, god was more so looking upon us as imbiciles, looking down like "how dare they even try to be like me?"
it was a punishment, not a challenge or fear.
    2. yeah, srry i said shut up, but dont act like ms. mother Haresuno. dont get involved, let the mods be the "parents".

it all depends on what u believe. again, a big component u guys are forgetting in all of this that would answer your question here Moogle. (srry, cant say what it is, you'll have to find it on your own)

Question noz. Do u believe in pyschology? Do u believe in something called the Ego?? Answer, then I will expand more on my point in asking.
