That's fine. Just let me know when you're finished.

And Riku, unfortunately darkness is more of a Warlock area. =/ Sorry pal.

EDIT: Also, Merlin you don't have to worry about the headmaster. I'll take care of that character. Riku, do you want to play the major villain? I know we discussed you playing villains, though I don't remember if we agreed on you playing the major antagonist.

    So far, I'm liking them.

Lol all though I just went back and re-read some of our previous discussion and I don't think we've decided on the spells yet.

For those we need to figure out how many spells per "book" or rank, and after that we need to think up of a list and requirements for each spell.

I think we should go with new spells every rank. That allows us to give the players more spells and make the ranks harder to obtain. This also means we can choose a variety of requirements for spells.

    Beloved Azure's Beloved

Ahhh, so you want me to make it eh?

Aaaaalrighty. Gimmie a couple of days, and I'll give it to ya.

    -EDIT-

Why not try this for spells.

For the first rank, they get three entry level spells. And for the next rank, they get three spells to choose from, but can only choose one, and their first three spells get stronger. But when they increase in rank again, they can still choose the ones they passed up, along with one of the new ones.

    -EDIT AGAIN-
Or maybe, they get three spells per rank, and they obtain the other two through use of the previous one. Or maybe five and work out a ratio kind of thing.

What I gather, from your first example is this:

    Fire rank 1:

    Spark
    Flare
    Fireball

    Fire rank 2:

    Ember
    Epic flare
    Giant fireball

Now from rank 2 you can only choose one of those three. Now when they hit rank 3 they can choose from which ever they didn't pick up. On top of that there are three new spells that they can choose only one from.

Hmm... That I'm kinda iffy on.

The last examples you gave just confused me @_@

  10. merlinosheep

    merlinosheep A.K.A The Leaver

i am going for that one, and do you want us to create spellbooks?

  11. Haresuno

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

Well it would go much quicker and easier if we split up all the mage classes and each did our share, however I'm not sure if I have all the classes up.

sorry i haven't been on lately, i have da flu so i didn't wanna come on.

  13. Haresuno

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

Lol its alright. The flu seems to be spreading around a lot lately, even over here.

  14. merlinosheep

    merlinosheep A.K.A The Leaver

Yeah, but it's highly overrated... it's not that bad. I don't need medications or any of that crap. Neither do i have to see a docter to check if it's the mexican flu or not (although someone in the household is a docter so he could tell). It's just like another flu. This is the third day, tommorow i'll be better.

  15. Haresuno

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

Good to hear. Rest easy friend. When either of you get a chance, check over the list of mage categories and see if I left anything out. Once we have that list up, we can start splitting them up and creating books.

  16. Beloved

    Beloved Azure's Beloved

    Okay, you got the first one spot on. The second is like this;

    Fire rank 1:
    You begin with only Spark.
    Uses spark five times
    Learns flare.
    Uses Flare five times.
    Learns Fireball.

After learning those three, they move up to rank two. But it takes more spell useage to learn the next ones.

    -EDIT-
And we should probably give detailed descriptions of each spell, so that the players can't manipulate a spells effect too much.

    Okay, how's this? (not official)

    Name: Gryss

    School: Necromancy

    Age:23

Role: Servant of the wielder of the Sapphire Blade.

Appearance: (Think L from Deathnote, but more evil looking)

Bio: He has no memory of his past. He awoke in a dark, damp room. The walls were of stone with no windows, and an iron gate was the only entrance. No memory, only the knowledge of the power within himself as his guide. He only had one image in his mind. A blue sword, radiating evil. He was drawn to it.

Personality: He stays mostly quiet. He takes orders only from the Wielder of the S. Blade. He follows his orders to the t. And never misses a single detail. He will protect his master with his life.

I'm wanting this one to be extremely detailed, but my cretivity is dampened by stress. As usual.

I'm going to try and think of some better adjetives. lol

It looks good Riku, but I'd like you to focus on spells at the moment. Have either of you taken the time to make sure I've gotten the necessities of this RP? Just let me know and I'll add/edit it. Once we have that sorted out then we can focus on dividing up the books so we can makes spells. Also, Merlin, what's your opinion on Riku's idea? I would really like to get that sorted out because I was thinking of the point system and with Riku's route we would have no use for it, however with his way we risk people going out at just using one spell over and over for no reason. We need some way to control this little bit of power we give to the players so they don't abuse it.

  20. Beloved

    Beloved Azure's Beloved

    Hmm.
I didn't consider that possiblity. But its not nesessarily a bad thing to use a spell over and over. But the player can use the spells to alter situations and environments. So if you look at it that way, we inspire a player's creativity. Of course, you are right that it could become pretty mechanical.

    So how about this?

We give a detailed description of rooms, interractions, and people, etc. So they can think of how to use these things to their advantage. Also, we need to have specific ways to defeat certain enemies. Like using the environment. If you want, when they fight a boss, I can come up with things like this. So they can kill the boss by normal means, or get a quicker victory with an environmental kill.

And btw, I think you have the mage classes spot on. So I'm all for creating the spell books now.
