Obama's Green Job Czar is a Self-Proclaimed Communist

Discussion in 'Mature Discussion' started by Soul Knight, Sep 4, 2009.

Van Jones is the white house green job czar picked by President Obama himself for the job. Recently huge controversy has risen due to statements that Van Jones had made in 2008.

You can see the video where Van Jones said he was a communist here:

YouTube - Van Jones Video Collection Montage - Obama's self admitted Communist Green Jobs Czar

Van Jones has also said he was a left wing radical and he has proven to be racist.

Van Jones has also said that White polluters has been putting poisons into colored communities.

So Obama's green jobs Czar is a left wing radical, a communist, and a racist.

As an american I find it sickening and scary that a communist is working in the white house. This is America and this country is a democracy not a communist country!

I don't want communism and I don't think any of you do either.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here are the questions we need to be asking our government:

    1. Why did Obama pick a communist to work for him?
    2. What does this say about Obama?
    3. Why were these czars not reviewed by the FBI and approved by congress like every other white house worker is supposed to be?
    4. Why has this man not been fired?
    5. What is the truth behind the backgrounds of these czars?

This man because he is a communist is a traitor to this country because we are a democracy so this man should be fired now!

To be honest, I think that Obama is just putting more diversity into the White House by grabbing someone who's a communist, or he's at least disregarding his past and seeing his potential as someone who can actually bring forward some progress.

Not to mention that this really doesn't mean that Obama is suddenly going to to say that we're going to become a communist nation. That's not what his aim is, and this isn't going to happen. You're just freaking out because of the man's preference in how a country should be ran, or how he 'once' be believed it to be.

At the same time, say that a few 'communist inspired ideas' DID start mingling with our new laws -- If you look at the way our country has been violently ricocheting for the past few years, due to a mixture of the country's fault of falling into an extreme capitalist loophole of buying in crap that we don't need x The former Bush regime....Then having shadows of a new ideology (most likely socialism) is going to help start healing a few economic and social wounds.

The problem with capitalism in America is that 'while' it gives you the things you want, it also creates an elitist favoritism to a particular group and requires the people that 'aren't' chosen to work dead end jobs internationally and on our own soil to make sure that the 'it' group keeps getting what they want.

We need more social unity and an economic equilibrium.
We were doing fine until we went off the gold standard, and the supply and demand scale tipped over to the point where more people started wanting things that weren't available to them.

You also need to understand that "capitalism" actually makes a country step away *further from* democracy. Democracy is the point you get where people can actively participate to get things done, and there isn't a shred in social or economic favoritism toward one group. Capitalism has always, and was solely meant to take that ideology and distort the idea that 'anyone' can make things happen, into if you work the hardest to get certain benefits, THEN you'll be able to become one of those people who actually make changes happen in this country or for themselves as individuals.

Capitalism is an economic system that only brings people prosperity with a very strict time limit. The nature of it is that it can only survive by destroying the true essence of democracy by taking away the 'right' for people to get the same benefits and products as everyone else. It works like that because it keeps people from questioning the fact that it ties in so closely with a democracy only in order to manipulate our founding 'belief' that there should be an endless pursuit of happiness.

At the same time, I hope that you're aware that America was actually founded by capitalistic trading companies who only wanted to create profit, rather than the myth that people prefer to believe of people surviving the seas to create a democracy on these new lands. The essence of American democracy was actually created by people who tried to break away from those companies, but ultimately only managed to continue that same cycle because that's what makes companies richest, in comparison to communism.

What a lot of people don't 'see' is that socialism and communism are actually the closest that any country can get to a true democracy. Democracy basically means that there's an equal opportunity for everyone to get what they *need* instead of just what they *want* in order to survive. What those two systems do is basically break down social groups to the point where there isn't another group dominating the other, and living necessities (food and jobs) are equally distributed to everyone in that country. It only hasn't survived because absolute power absolutely corrupts, so there's never been actual communism for long in Russia or in China. It also hasn't survived because companies prefer to make money in larger sums in faster amounts of time.

Even though I prefer socialism, personally, communism is just the more radical choice of bringing America closer to being a legitimate democracy. I hope you do understand that America never has been, and currently *isn't* a democracy for various reasons, (the corruptions in office, companies, racism, sexism, and other social favoritism, hardly any middle class, the dramatic difference in benefits between the rich and the poor, etc).

So, I honestly don't think that it's any big deal that Obama's just bringing in a new perspective, or to put it unbiased..a new person..into the White House to do whatever he's told that needs to be done.

People just need to understand that while we always rave about establishing and upholding a democracy, this country has a very consistent tendency to not do that in the larger and blatantly obvious scheme of things.

    Are you two crazy?

If Van Jones loved America then why did he call himself a communist in the first place? He did'nt call himself a communist years ago, this was in 2008.

Let me get this clear to everyone, I am an American. I believe in democracy and freedom. I believe in life for all human beings and the equal chance and oppurtunity for everyone. I would rather die than live in a communist America.

A communist is the same as a traitor to democracy and I cannot just stand by and watch some radical communist nut to come into the white house and try to reshape America.

If you want communism then go to Russia, this is America and we have a democracy.

I would rather die than live in a communist America.

well sorry to tell you this but America isn't all you say it is, obama might let him in not to have him make a communist place but to help, of corues there are going to be people looking after him, and he has rules. and the equal chance and same opportunity its'nt real here, Mexicans don't get it, Afghanistan don't get it, some black people don't get it, white people do thought and some Europeans. Mexicans dont get to live here and are treated like dirt, and dont get the same pay, some have to be strippers. so ;et me clear it up i hate people that try and make America sound all nice and peaceful and right when it's really the biggest bully in the world and thinks everyone else is crap and just want money and power, America is why Asians look the way they do with the face and body disfigurements. and why some contrary have women that are treated like dirt or dress like strippers. so that's why i say anybody can come and help America as long as they dont wont to blow it up, cause i live here. so i dont care if hes a communist, if he can help than ok!

That is not what America is. Sure I will admit that America has problems and yes we may have some injustices but the America I know is good. Do you know what I have been through? I was beaten by black men once for being white. I was a victim of a hate crime. I spent a week in the hospital. I know what the bad side of America is but I know the good side too. This country is good and just because America does'nt do what other countries say does'nt mean we are bullies. We have a set of values and real Americans would die for this country before they let communist take us over.

Give me a definition of what communism is to you.

And no, we aren't REALLY a democracy.
You being nearly beat to a pulp is one of the more gruesome examples of that.

America is actually a bully of the world as well.
Over in the middle east, we weren't *really* trying to enforce democracy.
Companies just wanted an excuse to establish their services to make profit off of it.

Whether you want to believe it or not, America is just an Imperialist nation, sugar coated with values that aren't properly reinforced.

Communism is the spread of wealth, government control, and removal of American rights from people.

Yes we are a democracy! We elect our leaders and we have more rights than anyother nation. You have no idea how lucky you are to live in this country.

Go to one of the poor countries in Africa and see if America does'nt look like paradise when you come back.

My father fought for this country in war and my uncle died so don't you dare mock their sacrifice by mocking America.

Yes I was beat to a pulp but I still believed in America and I could have just said I hate all black people but no, I did'nt do that. I continued to believe blacks and whites can live in peace.

That dream and the dreams of other Americans is what makes this country great.

What's really interesting is that you're all for equal rights and what not.

But what AnswerMan said is actually quite correct. Every single day, people are being forced to work dead end jobs, being laid off from most of those jobs, forced to work in terrible conditions, starving on streets, working the streets late at night as prostitutes because they have no other source of income, fighting other people for food and scraps outside of smaller markets and restraunts, not being given enough health care, denied benefits that the rich can get easily, standing next to major labor companies begging for work with either a limited education or broken english, being abused, etc.

You need to understand that while people *do* have the power to elect officials, even once that is taken into effect, corruption STILL exists because privately owned companies like to piggy back ride on people in power and make sure that they only make certain laws and regulations that benefit particular groups instead of *everyone* as a whole.

You don't need to tell me to go experience a lifestyle in another country. I know what it's like, and I know that we have it much better than they do over there. But there's also a lot of bullshit that's making a lot of our government no better than the ones in some of their countries. The only justice that we see televised is only released by the corporations that own those television stations that water down a lot of facts and skew what the actual stories are.

This is basically another reason why we can hardly trust the news that's being given to us. You're aware that our soldiers off in the middle east have *obedience* pushed so far into their mentalities, that sometimes generals TELL them to torture sometimes innocent civilians? Or what do you think REALLY happens when the boys and girls of a glorified country start torturing little children out in the desert away from their parents because their senses of humanity are SO skewed to the point where there's no coming back?

America likes to distribute the message that we're a democracy because we can vote and we have a domestic police force that protects us. Yet the flip side is, less than half of the population actually votes and the police force actually doesn't enforce any legitimate justice without people being killed in the process.

He had the courage to come out and admit he is or was a communist (I read he said it in August 99 not in 2008 btw) and for good reason. Communism is an amazing concept but has never been put into practive properly due to human nature, typically greed taking over.
The people of the country are also to blame as the idea of communism is to split everything equally, the lazy side of humans see this as a excuse to do the most basic jobs thus the more difficult jobs such as being a doctor has huge shortage, this is obviously bad for the country.

What the typical view of communism (especially in America following WWII) is that communism and Stalinism is the same. Stalinism is described as when a dictator changes communism into facism (something Joseph Stalin was famous for) and amusingly McCain is described as a supported if Stalinism.
Basically America went to war against Stalinism and Fascism, not Comunism.

Comunism is an amazing thing and any country would be great if it worked.

What you said is partially true. Communism is the spread of wealth and government control with in a nation. But the removal of American rights, I think you are off.

If you read Marx ideals about Communism, you will see that is different from today's communism.

Once people receive or taste power, they began to thirst for more. And with that thirst comes the chaos with Communism.

But the original idea of Communist, is a well thought out and concrete idea, it is the people who mess it up.

Communism is the spread of things with a nation. And the last time I check, sharing was good.

    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

^_^ In order for me to explain something to all of you, I would like to recite the favorite Constitutional verse in elementary school & high school, XD The Preamble. "We, the people of the United States, in order to form a Perfect Union, Establish justice, insure the domestic tranquilaties, promote the general welfare, provide for the common defense, & secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves & our posterity. Do ordain & establish this Constitution of the United States of America."

This is what we still don't see in America SoulKnight, & sadly, that's a fact. Also, this is what Obama sees in the czar, but I must back this up with evidence, with thanks to Homepage | Dictionary.com. ^_^

Communist/communism: A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members.

But when it comes to democracy: The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community. The common people of a community as distinguished from any privileged class; the common people with respect to their political power.a state of society characterized by formal equality of rights and privileges.

Don't you see the part about social equality? Two different system with different works, yet they both strive for equality & progression. I think that's what Obama sees in this Van Jones because he wants to strive for progression in social equality. DX I'm upset that he's racist against whites (DX I hope those of that color as members of KHPlanet & guests of KHplanet are not offended.), but Obama must think that this czar will provide social equality for America. I'm not supporting the idea of having the czar of staying on the white house nor I'm supporting the idea of having him kicked out.I'M BEING NEUTRAL ABOUT THIS. The only thing that stands out is the words, social equality/social order/progress & communism & democracy somehow shares that regardless of how their system works. I think that's all I have to say for now. Don't take what I said the wrong way SoulKnight, for I'm not supporting any side.

Edit: XD THis youtube video of Van John makes things amusing. I mean, the storm of Mao/Cabral. WT FREAK?! TO me, this is just rubbish & this is nothing that should make anyone's water boil. XDXD That newsman makes things so funny when he said that Van John became a communist in 1992. Makes me want to roll out of my chair. IT's all about left wing radicals & whatnot. It just makes me think of Beyonce's "Irreplaceable." XD To the left to the left. Everything you own is in the box to the left.

Well this debate is over because this morning Van Jones quit his job as Obama's green house czar.

So we finally got that communist out of the government, thank God.

So in your face to all those you hate America. Truth and the american will won this battle.

Now we need to get rid of the other 36 czars.

??? & why did he quit his job? DX & WHY DO YOU HAVE A THING AGAINST CZARS?!

He quit his job because the majority of the american people wanted him too.

So you even know what the name "czar" means? It means "Emperor". In America we elect our leaders and we don't have emperors. I hate socialism and communism and czars were in russia directly connected to the soviet union which was socialist and communist. So czars are unamerican and therefore as an american I can never support communism or socialism and therefore I cannot support czars.

Tell me summonerbrandon, where do you draw the line? Where do you say enough is enough?
