dont think it matters if it's "good enough" or not but should be in General section or General KH (since it includes Sora as well as Sephi and Cloud)

I'm meaning that why it is in the Debates section. But since no one seems to care, have fun then.

Sephiroth is god, Cloud is a wimp and Sora is crybaby with clown shoes. that sums everything up quite easily

Assuming the Title "C vs S"
Cloud vs Sephiroth. I don't this the S is for Sora as he mentions that Cloud is Sora, as a joke I assume (if you've seen the Crisis Core Special Edition PSP print, you'll see that cloud looks very similar to Sora).

But more to the Question. Is it a competition on who would win in a Fight? Who looks better? Who's Cooler? Who's Better In general?

Sephiroth a god? Yeah pretty much if he can call a giant meteor to hit the planet and change into some giant being.

Cloud Wimpy? Since he wasn't able to kill Aerith to save the world, I guess =P

Sora crybaby with clown shoes? Clown shoes alright, and he did cry when he found Riku =P

Am I confused, or did Aerith not call Holy which stopped (almost ) Meteor?

 

I'm going by memory as well.
I remember the cut scene where Aerith is summoning Holy (I think that's what she was doing) and cloud pulled out his Buster Sword in front of her (I can only assume that she was a sacrifice for Holy as she was an ancient or something) and he couldn't do it and then Sephiroth came from the skies and Stabbed her (man, what a freakin' badass)
Then at the end, the meteor came but the planet shot out beams of energy halting it at the cost of the planets life, mako was it?

 

I understood it differently actually...the following is my interpretation, but I don't want to keep saying "I think" :

I thought it was actually Jenova that killed Aerith, assuming Sephiroth's form (since that would be the one that aggravated Cloud the most). Sephiroth stopped Holy from activating by will alone, and then when Cloud challenged him (One Winged Angel and all that Jazz) he couldn't stop Holy from brewing forth.

However, because it took so long for Cloud to actually challenge Sephiroth, Meteor was very close to the planet and so the gravity between them was very high...Holy was basically torn in half.

At this point, like you said, The LifeStream (aka Mako) came out and played the role of mediator, which destroyed Meteor.


I could be wrong...but in either case I don't see how Cloud killing Aerith would have helped? I thought it would have hindered Holy being called forth, if anything?

 

Well I'll have to play the game from the start all over again to get specifics, or I could do some research.
I just thought of Aerith as being an Ancient and cloud standing there with Buster Sword in hand meant sacrifice. But then again, Sephiroth/Jenova killed Aerith and nothing happened (or was she trying to make a holy materia because I just remembered the materia falling out of her hair and bouncing it's way into the depths of the water after she was killed)

Aerith called it, and then Sephiroth stabbed her. Then Sephiroth prevented it from reaching Meteor.

Actually, Sephiroth was controlling Cloud to kill Aerith. But Cloud managed to stay in control.

 

I still say that was Jenova (that stabbed Aerith)...you fight it right after don't you? (Jenova LIFE) That's when it calls Cloud a puppet.

It takes Sephiroth's form, I remember Yuffie says something like "That wasn't Sephiroth??? I was chasing that...that thing for miles!" (or something along those lines) right after you fight it.

 

Yeah, it was Jenova taking the form of Sephiroth. But Sephiroth was controlling Jenova. Sephiroth controlled every Jenova boss you fight in the game.

This is where it's open to interpretation I suppose...since Jenova's influence is what drove Sephiroth in such a drastic way as well.

It's a 'chicken or the egg' kind of discussion. Did Sephiroth have a true mastery over Jenova? The game alludes to Sephiroth having control over Jenova's cells because of his ambition and drive...but he was injected with Jenova's cells right? Maybe he was manipulated himself, in the grand scheme of things, by Jenova.

It's kind of cyclic isn't it?
