The Calm Before the Storm (Rated M for Mature)

Angel sighed and looked down "You really dont want to hurt me Tom?" she said softly "Then stop beating yourself up about everything. I dont care what your parents use to say to you and I dont care if you do everything perfect or not. I love everything you do and to me you are perfect."

Hope hugged Jamie tighter "I'm not going anywhere Jamie. Not ever." She promised softly in his ear. "You're stuck with me."

 

Angel smiled and lay down next to him, she took his hand. "It's been a long time since the last time I've seen this many stars at once." she said thoughtfully.

Hope looked questioningly at the doctor as he left. "I'll be right back love." She whispered. She slowly let go of Jamie and then stood up and followed the doctor out of the room. She closed the door behind her so Jamie wouldnt' hear the conversation "I saw your reaction to Jamie's blood test in there. Whats wrong?" she asked.

 

Hope was shocked "What? What do you mean? It's not like this is some unkown illness! There has to be something you can do to fix it." she had so many different questions running through her head at once and so many feelings in her heart, that she stumbled over her words a little. "So what if he gets a cold or the common flu? What then?"

Angel smiled "I wish." she said distantly "But I dont things are quite that simple just yet. I mean I still have to finish school and out here is kind of far away from the school. Besides, we're a little young to be living together."

 

Angel rolled her eyes "Like I said like four hundred thousand and twenty times you are not selfish." she laughed. But she was thinking about what he said before, about how he said that they would always be together. Some part of her really liked the sound of that. She just hoped he was right.

 

Angel laughed "Well if your selfish for that then I'm ten times worse. Besides if selfishness is simply being in love then I dont know anybody who isn't selfish anymore." she rolled her eyes. "...It would deffinately be nice what you mentioned earlier though... living out here."

 

Angel smiled, "Perfect is such a fickle word if you really think about it." she said distantly. "How does one truly be perfect when in everyones eyes the word perfect means different things?"
She wasn't exactly sure where that question came from, she stared up at the sky as she asked it. Almost like she was counting each and every star in the heavens.

 

Angel laughed "No. I promise I never fell from heaven." she rolled her eyes "Because If I had, then the fall probably would have killed me. Besides I'm afraid of heights." she said sarcasticly. Every time he asked if she fell from heaven she always came up with a different and random answer.

 

Angel laughed "A Giant Slide? That still doesn't explain the fear of heights." she pointed out. "And if where I did theoretically fall is some special place then you must have been there because nowhere is special to me at all unless it's with you."
