    Perhaps. Since today is the range weapons era. Melee weapons now being forgotten. But in Medieval Age, Swords are famous. I'm becoming old school today :p
    NOW IS THE ERA OF WMD!!! How painful to see peoples died just with pressing one button...

    -_- I never said anything about guns losing to a sword & I never did think about that either. Let's do a survey!! WHO WILL WIN IN A GUN vs. SWORD FIGHT?!!

    I'm doing real life too by using the votes that all of you picked from the characters that will win. You'll see what I'll do after all of you pick your characters. This will still be reality related.

    First, you only need a super agility to dodge a bullet in video games. And in reality, you need to hide to avoid it.
    Second, the bullet is too fast, you can't dodge it simply like Matrix XD
    Anyone knows more?

    I vote nobody. If you want to know a game that almost realistic, try Counter Strike and use a Knife (not Sword, but try it) to beat a enemy that looked at you and with guns. The result is clear...

    I think its the dagger. You can conceal it, throw it, and it never runs out of shots (unless you throw it). It's also light weight. Yep, dagger is best. Guns are great, but they have ammo limits. Bring a dagger to a sword fight. It can tip the scales with ease.
    Like in this duel.

    Realistic fights are more entertaining and they are obviously more realistic!!

    Sigh. I guess I might as well answer the gun vs sword thing anyways since all of you don't understand. I was going to make the characters & put them into real time & have more answers to say as I go along. Let's pick Yuna & Paine:

    Now, seriously, Yuna have 2 guns while Paine have a big sword. There's a big, big advantages for Yuna. Yuna can shoot so many times & Paine can impossibly block every bullets with her sword, if you do this in real time. Why? The way the sword is made, you won't to be able to block a super small bullet that a normal eye can't see. The bullets are very small & are very quick when the gun is used to shoot. This shows that defense against the guns is very very hard to do. Now for Irvine vs Squall in real time:

    Irvine have a rifle, which is also counted like a gun. Squall with his gunblade. Irvine can take down Squall in a quick flash, but he have to hold the gun with two hands & prepare himself, which gives Squall a fighting chance to jump out of the way as Irvine shoot, but Irvine have a great accuracy, so it'll be hard to do. Rifles takes time to reload right? If I'm correct, then Irvine will be reloading longer than it does for a regular gun, but a rifle can be used to block a sword, so if Squall comes up to him, Irvine can use the rifle to block the attack. Are all of you is seeing where I'm going? I'm putting the game characters in reality time, yet, explaining how guns vs. swords works against each other & the advantages & disadvantages in them. I'm a soon to be video game developer, so I know how to Compare things with reality like: The strengths & weaknesses of a weapon against another, a weapon up against another weapon, & more. That's my plan all along, but I really wanted all of you to vote & have your opinion as I make all of these answers go into reality, but alas, it didn't work. Need I say more?

    Like I had mentioned somewhere here earlier. There is a specific kind of dagger called a "Sword Breaker" where it can be used to trap the blade of a standard sword and snap it, or so they say.

    They have an opening in the blade that you trap the sword in, its pretty neat. They remind me of potato peelers though, I'm not a huge fan of them.

    I only find slingshots to be use in schools. XD Bows & arrows, well, they are used in tournaments & contests, but...

    Real Life isnt the Legend of Zelda, slingshots would be a minor annoyance at best unless you hit them in the eyes. Bow and Arrow is just a worse version of the gun.

    Swords are the weapons of a warrior. Man has used the sword for war, training, competitions, defense, ect. A sword is yourself in the form of a blade, a sword and it's weilder must be one in order to achieve true strength in combat.

    I prefer swords over any other weapon. I like Katanas (Samurai Sword) and larger swords too.

    The Keyblade! No, personally there's no best weapon to me, in fact anything can be a weapon, including my lap top, my flute, my piccolo, a piece of paper, scissors, a watch, a pencil, wires, water, everything can be made into a weapon, and all can be just as deadly, so I'll have to say other because tehre's no choice for what I believe.
