Best weapons

Obviously anyone who has read my posts about weapons knows that I talk about tessen all the time
Best weapon EVER. Of course, I'm completely biased...but in defense of myself, tessen are spectacular. And I have a love for throwing weapons--kunai, shuriken, chakram--and bow and arrow, which is still long range. What can I say?

Fighting fans (tessen) are my favorite because they are throwing weapons. Lightweight, easy to conceal, delicate, yet powerful. Ever seen (perhaps not a very good reference, sorry) the Avatar, and the Kyoshi warriors? They use tessen. Plus the sskksskk (ish ) sound when opening them, dramatic effect...yeah, overall great weapon choice.

I don't know what kind of weapons that women will like since i'm not one of them . And my favorite defensive weapon is shield like Vexen and Dynasty Warriors 5 Cao Ren. Where both melee and defense are balanced.

 

A lot of your categories are very general while specifications deserve to be made. For instance the category of sword, there are SO many swords out there. In my view the katana is the best weapon, it has superior design and capability as well as weight and multitudes of usage. However I wouldn't find a broadsword very useful due to its heavyness and limited capability. See what I mean?

 

I've always been a fan of the swords used in the Middle Ages. Being a heroic knight and stuff (Sure, it never happened in real life, but still... The stories told can be cool). I myself am not too big a fan of katanas. But that's mainly because I've heard alot of people say how great they are. If they weren't as sharp as they are, they really wouldn't be as good.

 

It's the way that katana's are made which make them cool (In my opinion).
Having a block of steel and continuously folding and flattening it into shape. The block would be a cube looking thing to be heated and folded a large number of times, this technique gives it that strength and weight even though it looks like a thin piece of metal on a hilt.

 

I like those really big swords, if you can actually hold it up. Mostly because little swords like rapiers require precision, something I don't have any of. Staffs are kind of cool too, because you usually use swords to kill, while staffs can still get great hits without killing them, unless you hit them hard enough. So I would say the staff is the best weapon.

 

Thats why they are made to be sharp. Their real strength lies in their design though, they have a more powerful cutting edge (due to the afformentioned sharpness) and they are SMALLER. They are light enough that it isnt very taxing to wield in comparison to a knight's broadsword. I don't know who would win in a battle between a knight and a samurai, but in terms of their weapon of choice the Katana wins hands down.

It can kill someone in one shot, and its the easiest to weild. If pitted against any other weapon, it would win.

 

In a real life situation, obviously. I mean who runs around carrying a WMD over their heads? (Although that would beat the gun as well as ending the duel in a draw)
Who's actually that great to deflect bullets with a standard weapon in hand? (apart from non fictional characters)

The problem with guns is that they make killing too easy. Although I went shooting yesterday, and I was great. We had shotguns, and were shooting clay discs that were thrown. I hit each one.

 

You know Guns have greatest weakness, and also of other Range weapons: Reloading. Just simply block the shot by shield and wait until the enemy lost his ammo. Or simply look at the gun's hole, you could evade it by running XD

 

Consider a customised .50 cal tungsten bullet. That will punch a hole in you shield. Or armour Piercing Bullets.
The gun can be customised to have the upper advantage.

Okay, so lag got me again, so I won't waste the space. How about a gun and a sword~ A Gunblade.

 

Theyve been around for a while.... Not sure how USEFUL they are, but theyve been around.

 

Perhaps heavier than it looks, terrible aiming because of the heavy blade and so you cant hold it like a rifle to stable it and reloading will be a hassle unless you can get one with a clip or something... But it probably will still be a hassle

 

you are 100% wrong.
a gun and sword face off. By the time the guy with the sword takes two steps, he's dead. Reloading doesnt take long, maybe 2-3 seconds.
Also, its a lot easier to dodge a sword or bow and airrow than it is to dodge a bullet coming at you at 100mph.
This is like common sense, other wise everyone would still be using swords and stuff as their main weapons (like police), but they aren't.
The way a fight with weapons in real life works a lot differently than it works in video games, so all you little panzies who think a sword can beat a gun, go F yourselves.
