13, aww lucky I didn't get officially confirmed till 14.

So what's the reason with teh christianity. Now I call myself a modern christian, I believe in a lot of the scientific ways, but I have figured out to make scoence and different past events in the bible be combined into today's scientific research.

And who you getting at with 'Ms. Priet' summonerbrandon or me? Huh?

Anyways let's get on an actual topic with religion, ummm how about different movies. Movies like the Da Vinci Code and Harry Potter shouldn't be allowed to be viewed by christians due to magic in Harry Potter and Jesus having a possible wife in the Da VinCi Code.

I think christians shouldn't worry about these things. they're written by people and in them they still in herit christianity. There's many more movies christians 'aren't' supose to watch like Pirates of the Caribbean. This all includes video games and Kingdom Hearts in some parts of teh game falls under that category, (but of coarse I argued and made it be changed, my own way for church and stuff).

No one is messing with you & I'll never going to be a fool in the religious field. I'll never going to be depress because of the bad things you say about me. The way I act on this site doesn't mean how I act in reality. This is nothing but a cyber site. NOthing more.

As for you Star, I don't see anything wrong with christians watching Harry Potter or playing video games. We like to enjoy the life that God gave us on earth too. My grandmother is a christian but she still watches movies like Harry Potter.

What does it matter what age you recieved Confirmation? I was 13 or 14 (Maybe 15) when I did it.

    Waterfall.

You shouldn't watch The Da Vinci Code if you're a Christian because of all the lies about Christianity. That's why.

And with Harry Potter, I honestly think that it doesn't matter if Christians watch it. So what if it has magic? It's not saying these things about Christianity that are lies. There is nothing wrong with watching a fantasy movie. And if you're gonna say not to watch that, then you might as well say to not watch any movie that has magic or anything of the sort.

The Da Vinci Code, I never did see that movie & before I became a christian, I saw The Passion at the age of nine & I did not understand a word that they said at all. I didn't even like the way hell was looking.

Apologies for changing the subject a little...but that's what happens when you don't post immediately...^_^'

Reading does not necessarily mean understanding. The Holy Spirit gives discernment and instruction; He teaches us. We are transformed only because He works in us.

I do not mean to project a “holier-than-thou” attitude. Truly, I don’t…it grieves me, because this is not my intent. Admittedly, it can be very hard for me not to be prideful. It can be difficult to understand this because people don’t know what I have gone through with it…it’s a severe struggle sometimes. I’m saying this because I recognize that I am not perfect, and I want this to be clear to all that read what I post. I am not “better” than you or anyone else. I am Saved, but I have no cause nor case for boasting, because I haven’t saved myself. I couldn’t ever save myself! But I am Saved by grace, and justified by faith in Christ.

I know that I am not going to change you. I can’t. But I have faith in God, that He will not hide His face from you if you seek Him in humility. It is your choice to follow or not to follow.

I cannot help myself if I am compelled to speak to you on these things, for I cannot quench the desire that we walk with God. How greatly I long for people to know and believe that He is God, to glorify Him, to find satisfaction in Him, to experience His peace, to enjoy His presence…to love Him, to be in relationship with Him! And I cannot contain this passion, for it is God’s passion.

I am hopeful that you will not continue thinking that I think of you as a heretic. For I do not think this—not at all! I think that you are searching, but not that you’re a heretic. And yes, I recognize that you are very knowledgeable of Scripture. I don’t quote Scripture because I think you are ignorant of it, but because it is good for edification and reproof :). (II Timothy 3:16 for those who’d like to look it up.) I urge you with Scripture not to condemn you/label you, nor to puff myself up—but that you would remember your first love and return to Him. He loves you.

I know that this may not be apparent or believable. Right at this point in my life, I have little understanding in regards to God’s love. I have prayed about it, and God has been putting people into my life that are showing me. This alone indicates that He cares for me, that He listens to and answers my prayers.... But something is wrong with me, and I don’t know what it is…and it’s preventing me from understanding. Why bother mentioning this? Because even if I don’t have as much understanding as I used to in regards to God’s love, I know that He loves you, even with an everlasting love.

I have some questions to ask. You said before that you thought I was good. Have you changed your mind because of my speech? Am I no longer nice/amiable in your sight? And are you angered with me to such an extent that you will no longer speak to me?

For I do not desire that you should stop speaking with me because you are angered with me…nor do I desire that you would think ill of me because of what I have spoken. Have I wronged you?

That is what you call a liberal Christian.
As for the movies, well, i dont think its wrong because I am ( to you) a pagan, not that I believe in sorcery or anything, but I find that mystical powers are only hiding in all of us, and because of socialist propaganda, they dont want us to know about our TRUE potential. Maybe I'm going off subject, but did you know we only use like 3% of our brain. Think of all the things you know, and are able to do right now. Imagine if that doubled, or tripled, or even reached its maximum potential and multiplied by 33!! Imagine what we could do! We could remember everything, learn at faster rates, hell, maybe even move objects. Could some people in the past have figured this out, and moved objects infront of commoners and they thought these people were monsters? I personally am open to that possibility......but I'm not saying I fully subscribe to it....yet.
And if thats true, then have another reason to be pissed at the Catholic Church for calling these great men monsters and having them killed.

    1. Umm....you are? Go learn something, and then tell me that. Dont just say that out of the blue when I've already prooven that you are, and can do it again if you want.
    2. Hopefully not.
    3. I sure do hope not, cause then you'd be a dumbass, and the world has enough of those right now. So become something great, become something more than what you were born to be. Okay?
    4. That was my whole point in saying all of that.

    WATERFALL'S QUOTES:
But 99.9% of the time you sure damn learn something, AH-DUH!!!!!!!

k, GOD does, G-O-D, God. He teaches us, not some f'ing bird/ghost that the Church just "made up".

I follow god in my own path. You choose to follow the herd with the false prophets, while I seek what I can not see, but what I can understand, to find my true Father up above.

Well, thanks for not thinking of me as a heretic. I see that you have an open heart, thank you. And your right on, I am still searching. I won't find what I'm looking for until I reach the most peaceful time in my life....death. But that is far from the present. I have much work to do yet to glorify God. I know he loves me. I know he loves you. But only out of mercy of what we've done.....we have repented. and it is our responsibility to make others repent.

Waterfall, I dont hate anyone on this site (although summonerbrandon is pushing his luck). I see you as an interesting person to talk about these things with, why? Because, even though we might not agree, by the end of the day your understanding. You have an open ear, and that means you have an open heart. I tip my hat to you on that. Thank you.

No, we use all 100% Maybe not all at once, but it's been proven that we use all 100% Unless of course you're saying that the government or something made that up in a way to control us. Yay for Big Brother!

No doubt. But sometimes learning something from reading doesn't mean you understand it. As I've been learning in my English class, you have to look further than just the words to understand the point. Although I think you have looked further.

I love how the majority of people think that their beliefs is the truth. I say this because you think the priests and stuff are fake. Whereas I believe that priests aren't, and they have been imbued by the Holy Spirit to do what they're supposed to do.

I hope that each of our deaths are peaceful ones. Cause I don't think anybody here wants to die being gunned down by some criminal or something.

You is the only one who kept on saying bad things about me. I know that we don't agree, but I do learn something & I know that I will be great in something. Stop telling me to change & because, the way you kept on yelling at me & stuff, you're the one who needs to change. I am not pushing my luck & I'm telling you my veiws & experiences, but with me, you kept on being mean, but with others, you be a little bit more nicer.
I am speaking things in a calm manner & telling you things that I had experience, but if you want to hate me for something that I didn't do to you, then go on ahead.

Now, as for Desert, there are lots of ways for us to die. How to die naturally & peacefully is what we want. I agree with you, but there are some who thinks that suicide is good for them dieing, but it comes from them getting depressed & stuff.

No, we use what we have to use. 100% of the time we use 3%, but we never use every part of our brain to its fullest. thats a fact. GO ask your doctor, and he'll tell you that. (Cause I learned that from my doctor!)

Thank you, and I know that you cant understand something right away. It takes time.

God does not give them power, men do. We give them their power. God doesnt. God doesnt give the pastors slips that say they are official priests, men do. No one here on earth is chosen by God to do his biding. HE IS GOD! He does it all himself, duh?!

People with near death experiences say its the most peacefulk time in their life. I am one of those people. I was dieing of pneumonia at the age of 8, and I'd have to say, I'll never forget that experience. Ever. It was quite comforting. Even though the doctors said I was dead, I came back to life. I saw the light and all that bull, yeah. But I didn't see Jesus. i didn't see anyone. All I saw was light and darkness....like sunshine and that nightime glow hitting eachother. Then, as I was coming back (at least, thats what I think it was), it felt like if you were floating to the top of a pool, but your going downwards.
Ever since then...I changed. I was once the good little Christian boy...now I am the guy who questions things.

Your an dork that wont change. I have changed, and I want others to. But you are like a brick wall of stubborness. I've been on your side of the fence, for longer than you have. And guess what I've learned....ITS WRONG!!!!!! This is coming from a kid who gets straight A's, is on the Football and Basketball Team, and has lived through things your feeble mind can't imagine. So shut the F@$K up and take it all in. Learn something, and quit complaing for Christ sake. Stop trying to make me or anyone else feel sorry for you, cause I'm not and others arent either.

First off, I never did complain & I did learn things. I learn about what I needed to do in my life & what God wanted me to do. I had changed 3 times. I'm not letting anyone making someone feeling sorry for me & I'm letting them know what God did for me & the troubles I've been through. I was never a brick wall of stubborness. I've lived through bad things & I be getting good grades, being involved in activities, & my mind was never feeble. It never was. I've been getting wiser & wiser little by little. Side of the fence? You & me have experienced different bad things & good things & your life & mines are different. God made us different & we're never going to be the same. The side of the fence that you was on in my opinion is very different with the side of the fence that I'm on.

You need to be quiet for once. I was saying all of this in a calm voice, never wanting to send out negative feelings or thoughts to anyone & you're the only one who is gettting negative thoughts. you here is all worked up & is now cursing at me, telling me to shut up when I'm saying this nicely & things I've experienced & you don't want to listen to them, but that's just you. Now, you say that God did not give them power, but did it say in the bible that "God appoints shepherds to watch over the flock?"

Seriously, hop down off your high horse for a second. Wow you get straight A's!!! so can ANYONE who takes the time. School measures work ethic not base brain power. You are JUST as stubborn as he is, and yet when you are stubborn it is "because you follow your own beliefs" and yet when he is stubborn you get all upset because he is not agree-ing with you. What have you lived through that we "can't imagine"? Because I bet I can top you, bring it on. And no, I DON'T feel sorry for him, I feel sorry for you because throughout all of the bashing you are doing of him you are a complete hypocrite and the ONLY reason you keep bashing him is that he is questioning you with what you CLAIM is a limited understanding when in reality you don't know anything more about God and religion than the next person does because it is an OPINION and BLIND FAITH. So stop getting all up in other people's faces because you are so stuck in the fact that your beliefs are correct that anyone saying other things MUST be wrong! YOU take it all in, YOU have an open mind, YOU learn that not EVERYTHING you say is FACT! and btw, you are whining FAR more than he is because every single one of your posts always includes "OMG POSERS OMG IDIOTS OMG FOOLS".

    Thank you Zenrot

Trust me I'm sure I can basicly top that. I know many who can.

So both of you, mainly Mr you need to clam down. In debates no one can agree, only a few who can think a like agree on things.

Now let's get on a specfic topic to debate since religion is such a braod topic.

Sorry Star & Zenrot. I'm not being stubborn & I'm telling all of you what I had experienced. It's great to hear all of your relationship with God, but it's not great to keep on getting jumped on because one tells about what God did in their life & the other one keeps on jumping on the other because the other don't agree.

Doing quick research, I see that the % of a person's brain that is used depends on the person. Click to see. Btw, where it mentions the amount we use, it's near the bottom.

And the 3% thing, I find it kinda funny. Not because it sounds stupid or anything, but because something like that is in this one movie I saw.

And this leads to my point of people believing their beliefs are right. As you stated above, you don't believe priests are given any kind of holy power.

I on the other hand, believe that they're imbued with the Holy Spirit, so they're able to do some things regular people can't do. Such as Baptizing, giving Holy Communion, (Giving any Sacrament for that matter), etc. But I know that you don't believe the Holy Trinity is true. And that is one reason why you'd never believe that priests are given any sort of holy power.

But I'm not saying that all priests are imbued with the Holy Spirit. But that's because I don't believe that the Prodestant branch is right.

Speaking of near death experiences, my dad had one when he was 3. He got an electrical wire wrapped around his leg or something, and he was shocked (Literally) to death. He came back alive though.

There is nothing to apologize for, you are simply stating your beliefs in a DEBATE, thats what you do in these.

Desert Warrior, how did he just "come back alive?" did medics revive him or did he just wake up and recover on his own?

If he was shocked medics probaly had to because even being shocked he would have suffered some burns.

Anyways, I don't think religions should fight each other or treat it's congregation wrong. I know many catholic churches today who have blessings but you must pay for it. Plus I've been thinnking, many of you know about the life churches right? If instead of seperate churches we had one very large life church and on our own time we can get in depth with our own beliefs, if we had this all over the world maybe we would have world peace and stuff.

and what do you? tell me that Zenrot? Look at yourself, getting all worked up defending summonerbrandon. Let him do it himself. What has he ever done for you? Huh? Its a retorical question, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. And yeah, I am a little bit of an elitist. But I went from someone like summonerbrandon or kairi star, I opened my ears, I read and learned a lot more about other religions (something christians dont want people to do because they think they are always right and dont even want to hear anything but the Bible), and I listened to people with experience. And I really, really, really learned a lot.
You can ridicule me Zenrot, try and rip me to pieces. But you can't touch me, I have a will of iron. I will listen, but through my learning and deep studies, I can tell what is lie and truth very well. It is easy to read people through how they act. You are dissappointing...

Yeah, but do you really think God gave power to a pedifile? Its a rising epidemic, priests getting caught fucking little kids. Can you trust someone like that? Can you really consider them holy? Even if you dont, plenty of people probably did, and they were shocked when they saw their priest in cuffs.
Now I'm not saying all priests are pedifiles, hardly. But I am saying that they received just as much of the Holy Spirit as these other guys...so religously, what makes them so different.

Not all christians are like that mythril. I don't mind if you want to learn about another religion. I don't mind learning about someone's else religion. I used to have a friend who's a muslim & he prays to Allah. Also, even though he didn't read the bible, he told me that he heard that childrens must obey their parents regardless.

I know about other religions, like I know about the Jewish, and many more, I also know some of the Native American religious belief that has absoluetly nothing to do with God, but a great spirit sort of like God, and to tell the trueth this one is real resonable to me, I'm surprise there's not to many Native American like churches or ceramonies around.

I forget. I think my grandparents started praying for him or something, and he came back alive.

Obviously those priests would have lost the Holy Spirit. But what would make priests empowered by the Holy Spirit different than others is that they're empowered by the Holy Spirit. They'd be blessed by God. That is why they're different.
