It is not a requirement to find all of the puppies in Kingdom Hearts, but doing so yields various rewards, including the secret ending, Another side, Another story....

 

Sephiroth's meteor attack in KH is very different from his meteor attack in KH2.

 

The wooden Sword is exclusive to Kingdom Hearts. COM and KH2 did not mention it.

 

Sora can never fight against kairi on Destiny Island, especially since she's not a fighter.

 

Selphie's, Tidus's and Wakka's Weapons/Toys represented their actual weapons from the Final Fantasy series.
Selphie: Skipping Rope = Her giant Nunchaku's.
Tidus: A stick/pole = His one handed Sword.
Wakka: A Blue Ball = His Blitz Ball.

 

At first, Square Enix decided Mickey Mouse was supposed to be main protagonist in KH series. But since Disney wanted Human character as Protagonist, they created Sora as Main Protagonist on KH

 

Kingdom Hearts is Tetsuya Nomura's first game to have the same Protagonist in an ongoing series.

 

Selphie is the only girl on Destiny Island who fight.

 

Although the world Olympus Coliseum was the smallest world, it had all the heartless you are able to fight within the game (excluding some of the bosses).

The final fantasy characters, Leon, Cid, including Yuffie & aerith, had gummi ships named after them.

Rare Truffles are Kingdom Hearts exclusive Heartless, not appearing in any of the other Kingdom Hearts games.

 

Donald and Goofy actually stronger in KH 1 than KH2. This could be proven that in a video against World of Chaos, Goofy could deplete all of its HP only by him.

 

You can get twelve prizes from the clock in Neverland if you just go all the way to the top of the clock tower & find one of the doors glowing. If you go back down, you will see that one of the hours is glowing. GO back to NEverland to see what time does the clock have in order to get the next prize.

 

Riku was supposed to be the one to wield the Kingdom Key. But since he gave into darkness at the beginning, the Kingdom Key chose Sora instead.

 

Disney castle was the only world introduced and unvisitable in Kingdom Hearts.

 

There are at least 7 keyblades you don't normally get through out the main story.

 

You can finish the game without "locking" the keyhole in Monstro. However, doing this will not yield the secret trailer at the end of the game.

 

Monstro doesn't have a keyhole. Olympus Colluseum and 100 Acre Woods are the two optional keyholes. Each world that has a sealed keyhole will show a yellow box with a keyhole on it, when selecting to travel to that world. Monstro instead has a yellow box with a line going through it.

 

Even though in gummi space, Disney Castle is on there, you cannot go there.

Anyways...

Near the end of the game, the End of the World and Olympus Colluseum have the highest difficulty rating; each having 10 stars. Olympus gets that difficulty because of the addition of the Hades Cup, the Ice Titan, and Sephiroth.

Agrabah, Neverland, and Hollow Bastion might also have 10 stars, I forget. If they do, Agrabah and Neverland would get that difficulty because of Kurt Ziza and the Phantom. Hollow Bastion would get it because it's the world before the last, and as such needs to be difficult.
