Another Kingdom Hearts Story III~ Children of Light and the Dark

"Honestly, I don't need her." The demon said to Tom.

"Then why is she here?" Tom demanded.

"Because if she wasnt' here, she'd make it much more difficult for me to finish."

"What are you talking about?"

The demon didn't answer. Instead, he just flew into Tom.

--Inside his heart--

The demon looked around. Tom's heart looked like a completely different universe. "This is interesting." He glanced down at something and laughed. "Oh, won't Kate be sad to know about this. But, knowing this, Kate should be happy I'm here." He then flew all around Tom's heart, looking for the creature that fused with it.

 

Tom couldn't see or hear anything. The demon being inside of him prevented him from having any control.

The demon finally found the creature. It was still sleeping inside Tom's heart. "Finally." The demon started shooting dark and chaotic energy at the creature. Nothing seemed to happen at first. "Wake up!" The demon yelled, charging at it. Then it's eyes opened up.

The demon was shot out of Tom. Tom's body glowed, and then it transformed into the creature. It easily ripped through the chains. It grabbed Dark and threw him against a wall. It cut Kate's chains. It looked down at her, not moving. The seven swords that floated behind it formed into it's hands, forming a scythe. It was about to attack Kate.

"No!" Tom yelled, seeing what was happening. The creature stopped, and slowly floated down to the ground. It transformed back into Tom.

 

"Me?" The demon said innocently. "I didn't do much. That was all Tom's doing. That, and the creature that lived inside him. The source of his power. I'm sure you noticed that he almost killed you. But, I'm sure that I warned the both of you that he might do that. Surely you see now that by refusing my help, you almost died."

 

"To awaken his power." The demon answered. "Wouldn't you rather have it awakened in a controlled environment such as here? Or would you preferred to have it happen some random time, which could have caused more damage than here. Honestly, I don't understand how you don't see these things."

 

Koen suddenly felt something in the pit of his stomach but shook his head. Nothing would be wrong.
"Oh how wrong you are, Koen"
Suddenly Yata grabbed him by the throat, making Koen drop the flower basket by her door. Yata, then disappeared and reappeared on the beach.
"I will get revenge for you making me look like a fool"
Yata dropped Koen on the floor and the child of light took a deep breath, after being let go. He scrambled to the floor and summoned his keyblade but Yata looked stronger than he did before. Dark energy was flowing above his head, like a halo and dark gas spread throughout his body. Yata made claws emerge from the tips of his fingers and the heartless stabbed Koen through his chest with the claws, making him fall to the ground in pain, clutching his wound.
"I have grown stronger Koen. Remember that stab to the heart, you gave me?...well that made my darkness grow, 5 fold"
Koen was panting, because of the injury. He looked up at Yata, feeling unhopelessness. Yata laughed and kicked him by the side, which made him shout in anguish because his toes too, had claws.

 

Koen stood up and held out his keyblade towards Yata.

Shino suddenly remembered something. There was a creature inside Tom.
"Niki, wherer would Tom and Kate be right now?...we've got to find them. I have a feeling they are in mortal danger"

 

"So that's how it is? Just because I'm a demon I'm automatically against you?" The demon said. "What can I do except help? Or is it bad for me to help because it's a good thing to do. And me doing what is right is my goal here. That's all."

Tom slowly got up. He couldn't focus at all. What was that thing he transformed into? Tom put his hand on his head; he could feel a headache coming along.

 

"Azazel's dead, not sleeping." The demon said from Kate's first comment. "And you can't stop the creature. It's fused with Tom's heart. Not even your mother can remove it. It's just woken up, that's all. As long as Tom doesn't lose control, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Although since he doesn't really know how to control it, you might have to worry about it for a while." The demon paused for a moment. "But I would advise against telling your mother. Like I warned you before: She and the council will try to lock Tom up forever."

 

Shino entered inside the secret place and stood infront of Tom and Kate.
"Kate, Tom get out of here now!" he shouted at them. He pointed his keyblade at the demon standing before him.
"You will not get to them"
Suddenly they vanished from sight.

 

>They're not there<

"You people just don't quite understand." The demon sighed. "Let's start with you Kate. If they lock him up again and again, don't you think that they'd lock you up and take away your powers without a second thought? And Rainbow... Why would you want to lock up such a brilliant power? It's because you and the council are afraid of what you can't control. We all know what can happen with that power. You all need to learn that you aren't always right. Just because you serve the light doesn't mean that your actions are always justified. If anything, you all would be abusing the power of light. What gives you the right to govern what is truly allowed and what isn't?"

 

"Okay, one thing at a time. First, the power isn't something you should mess with. It could cause unexpected results. Second. Kate, that power... It's hard to explain. But the creature that permanently fused with his heart came before Kingdom Hearts. So I'm not 100% sure on which is stronger." The demon explained. "And third, the future isn't set in stone. You see what is the most favorable outcome. Not all the possibilities along the way."
